Thanks for the memories Nuala. I used to frequent your family shop as well as the other shops you mentioned growing up in Loyola Park and College Road. There was a great community spirit and we knew every family from Moneenageisa Cross to Eyre Square. Unfortunately things are completely different now with so many houses used for rented accommodation. We were lucky to live on College Road during the 50's, 60's and 70s.I also remember Kevin Jacobson and Mary's Followers of the Cross. Kevin had a very powerful presence. Great memories Nuala.

another great video. I actually prefer that this one is a bit longer. I have ti ask, and its a curiosity not a criticism, is there a church connection? I've watched all of the galway character videos and almost all of them mention God, a church and/or giving up alcohol etc. Just a coincidence? only curious. Its a great series and an excellent time capsule of the future, keep it up!

Nice one man! Thanks a million and I would always welcome constructive criticism ❤️
But no, definitely not a church/religious angle.
Definitely there has been a few who have candidly discussed prior issues around drink.
      But that's coincidence.
It's funny I have been asked that twice before also!
Thanks again for your support by watching the episodes ❤️

I guess up to the 1970s or so most people had a bit of faith, but I must say we did have a great childhood apart from National School. There'd be at least 40 in a class. My older brother says there was much more in a class when he was in the old Mon. No such thing as being babysat. Older children took care of the younger children. Younger Children had much more freedom to play. Nowadays their every move is monitored. In the wintertime, they hardly see daylight. From the creche to the bed and from the bed to the creche..that is their day
