I am an owner operator that drives truck in the US and have a few classic cars so I go to car and truck shows very often all over the USA.
I can say with at least some sort of authority that the people of Thailand take vehicle customization to a level not seen anywhere else in the world. It's absolutely mind numbing to witness the no hold barred customization the Thai people do to everything with a motor. Hats of to the people of Thailand, there isn't any other part of the world that even comes close to the craziness you all get up to. To hear a lot of those trucks are working trucks melts my brain.
I think the japanese come close. That was the first time I saw this style. But these look like they drove through 64 consecutive jc.whitney catalogs while the japanese did more custom bodywork.

99% of the people in our industry here in the US would look at stuff like that and call it absolute garbage and that there 379 extended hood pete with blue lights is way sexier. But honestly? These trucks over there are a work of art. That is straight passion and every truck is different. I absolutely love the creativity they have and the vibe that comes from it. Very unique
Japan scene the same but a notch lower than Thailand.

When I first came over here to Thailand in 2012, I saw that bus at Rayong, and had to go check it out! The driver invited me in and it was frigging epic! As a retired U.S. owner operator I love the trucks and their owners over here! I'm sharing this video with my friends back in the states!

Thailand is awesome, I've been twice, there are locations and venues for every activity you could feel like doing. The main thing, they haven't made fun and smiling illegal in Thailand like they have in the West.

Every year my company organizes a holiday with 100 of those buses. Its 48 hours of a portable Songkran rave party with drunk Thai chicks dancing in the aisles non stop and ends in a massive party with coyote girls. Finally starting again next month after covid stopped it for 2 years.
This is my favorite vlog I could watch them daily but I know its a lot of work putting these things together so ill have to wait for them weekly. Great job.
