Was 9 years old when kh1 came out. Randomly rented it at blockbuster… little did I know it would change my life.
From kh1 to kh2 was something different. It was different to experience it with no social media, no steaming, no tip videos, just you and the game.

Kingdom hearts really means something special to me in many aspects.
Soon? don't get me wrong, i'm 30 now and i feel the same, but "Soon" is not gonna happen, we waited 15 fckin years for kh3. just to get a pretty mid-tier game in terms of how much there was to do. we're probably gonna be 40+ by the time kh4 hits the shelves.. let's just pray they do it right this time and give us a 100+hour game like ff7 rebirth

I can argue that BBS makes it more confusing to a certain point.
Kingdom Hearts 1 was more straightforward and well, going through the series from Kh1 onward streamlines the story better. Remember, Birth By Sleep also have the fourth ending of the game where you actually see Sora, Riku and Kairi post Kingdom Hearts 2 actually about to take on another task, Not only that but it also shows a bit of 358/2 days as well which I feel like would just make everything confusing cause after all that with Kingdom Hearts 1, It's just Sora going through Disney worlds as KH1 is a very Disney focused game rather than the Original Evils of the series, Which in that game is just Ansem the Darkness. Hell, Even the KH2 Secret Boss would have it's identity be demystify as you could easily tell who the character was, But when I played it blind it was a really cool as hell boss fight with a character I do not know yet. BBS does answer questions, But also brings a lot more questions and confusion to the mix. And don't get me started if you tell me to play 0.2 AFTER BBS, Seriously, The ending was a lead up to KH3, Could you imagine being a first time, Playing BBS then 0.2 and see Sora for KH3 being like "Alright let's go!" and the first game just starts out with Sora being 13/14 again with no Keyblade, It's just off putting. Plus the Combat was unappealing for BBS to people, myself included, I've heard stories of people dropping the series because they started with BBS.
In conclusion, Just because most of the game takes place in the past doesn't mean that it SHOULD be the game you play first, Especially when all of the games are connected and that it shows parts of later on the series. Idk, 1.5+2.5 just does everything well and makes it self explanatory for what games you should play in that order.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was my very first (finished) Kingdom Hearts game and entry into the franchise. I can't wait to hear Axel say "Man, I miss the old times. Still good it memorized?" It'll feel so nostalgic and I really do miss the good old days when I was a kid.

Literally got the HD collection on PS5 a month ago but I’m happy for those who can finally experience this.
I remember when I was first introduced to Kingdom hearts. It was back in the year 2005 when I was in elementary school. I saw my cousins playing the game while I was on summer break and I remember being mesmerized seeing my favorite Disney characters in a video game. Ever since then I fell in love with the franchise. Now I’m 28. What a wonderful journey it’s been. Kingdom hearts will forever be a big part of my childhood and will always be a part of me.

Please, do yourself a favor and get at least Kingdom Hearts 1.5. The original KH is one of the most beautifully simple games and satisfying RPGs you could play with a delightful, childlike story to let yourself unapologetically be immersed in.

@@aruneslayer I feel 2 was one of the stronger ones, especially in terms of gameplay, and the story feels amazing, before things started to really get confusing.
KH1 was actually kind of a crappy experience on PS2. I also loved it as a kid, and just recently replayed it on PS2 and man, the design leaves a lot to be desired. Some level design is terrible(Tarzan), unskippable cutscenes and having to rewatch the same scenes over and over and over before every boss attempt. Menus in combat are incredibly clunky as well for things like using items that aren’t on a hot slot and the L2/R2 for camera rotation is purely cursed. Camera perspective during combat is awful as well when around larger enemies.
My childhood memories of this masterpiece series is finally coming to PC and the fact that it’s still going is unbelievable.
The days before Kingdom Hearts became so complicated is over, things used to be so Simple and Clean...

I've never had the chance to play the original games on console and I am incredibly excited to play it on PC and my steam deck. We are in the highest timeline.

@@KatOwO2235 Unless they modify the game's files for literally no reason, all the mods will be compatible by default
The only exception is the mods that modify Elemental Encoder, since that's the Epic Store exclusive Keyblade
