Dating with CPTSD - Push & Pull

My intention is to share my experiences and lessons in hopes of reaching and helping someone with similar struggles, and connect to and learn from others.

In this video I share about some of the patterns of behavior that I have which stem from my CPTSD, how I bring awareness to them, and how I would like to work on them and improve.
It can be embarrassing to admit when we are acting harshly, immaturely, or out of fear. It is not easy to admit to these things, however I believe it is important that we recognize these patterns, give ourselves love, grace, and compassion, communicate as best as we can to the people in our lives, and do our best to make changes overtime.
I received a lot of feedback and messages about the blocking and un-blocking and pushing and pulling behavior, so I've been giving it a lot of thought. For me, I have decided that if I find myself engaging in that behavior, then that is a sign to me that I need to remove myself from that situation and to stop trying to "make it work".
I have decided to confide in my close friends and when I am feeling weak or vulnerable I will reach out to them and they will remind me of how loved I am and that I deserve to be happy and treated well.
Healing and changing behavior takes time and consistent effort. We cannot expect ourselves to change overnight, but we can hold ourselves accountable and do our best every day to re-write these patterns.
