That 1987 League Cup final was when, as a 10 year-old kid, I first started getting interested in football.
My brother was an Arsenal fan, and most of my mates at school were Liverpool supporters, so that Final was when I said, "Right. Whatever the result is, whoever wins this game is who I'll support."
36 years later, I have no regrets!
    What a club!
    What a ride!

"The side received a boost when Adams returned after (and I thought the words 'an injury ' would follow) a short prison sentence." 😂

That group of players that came through together from the academy in 83-84....Rocky, the Skipper, Michael Thomas, Niall Quinn, Martin Hayes, Merse (and of course Martin Keown)...United had their Class of '92 but our academy players were pioneers of "Winning something with kids", eh Alan Hansen?

It always amazes me how that group of players are never afforded the respect the United class of 92 get. Arguably only Hayes didn't have as fulfilling a career as the others. Except for Quinn and Hayes the others played for England.
