Congrats love!! Also, I had the same problem with diesel and petrol. My first instructor was diesel and then when I changed instructors, she had a petrol car and I was never taught to use both at the same time, so I did stall couple times - but you just have to practice. A diesel car is more powerful that’s why it can move off with the clutch alone. With the petrol you want to get it to the bite and then accelerate to move the car, keep it on the bite as your moving off then gently take your foot off the clutch after you’ve started moving, don’t start lifting your foot off the clutch as soon as you accelerate - let the car start moving for a bit first, maybe like 2 seconds then you gently lift up the clutch. cause if you start lifting the clutch and there isn’t enough acceleration, you’ll stall. Of course all cars are slightly different so just practice and you’ll be okay. Hope this helps 😊
diesel is not always more powerful, in most cases diesels tend to have less horsepower than an equivalent petrol. however they do have more torque especially low down in the rev range so that does make it feel a bit more "powerful"
