- Suleiman's Blinded By Anger! | Magnificent Century "DO YOU REALIZE WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO?"
Magnificent Century Episode 139: • Magnificent Century Ep...
The Magnificent Century takes leave with a breathtaking final episode. Suleiman gets plunged into darkness after Bayezid died and he gets even sicker. Selim tries to releive his pain falling back upon alcohol. Defne fights with all her strength to be able to protect her son. She understands there's no way out while she sees Nurbanu in front of her. The mother and her son walk towards the death holding onto each other. Mihrimah gets Nurbanu in a big trouble flaming with vengeance. Gülfem tries to kill Suleiman considering he is the responsible of everything has happened. However, the night ends with a dark secret. After the agony, Selim comes in the capital as the only heir to the throne. Mihrimah severs all ties with Selim since she sees him as a fratricide. Suleiman loses his strenght day by day and gets furious when he hears what his people talk about him.
And Suleiman the Magnificent goes for his last journey in a blaze of glory. An era ends while Suleiman the Sultan of the world gasps his life out!
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Mahidevran now saying everything is the fault of Suleiman . She always used to blame Hurrem for literally everything .Now after Hurrem died and Suleiman in this miserable state , she got the courage to blame him
Because all these sufferings of Mahidevran, deaths, executions and sad moments at the palace, all these were Syleiman's errors. It was Syleiman's fault dearly. But Hurrem had also a huge participation at all problems and sufferings of Mahidevran and executions of Ibrahim(episode 82 and 83), Mustafa (123 and 124) and Kara Ahmed Pasha (episode 128). But Syleiman was the main responsible, Mahidevran was right, every single word of her was right. She just said the truth, but Mihrimah was so naive and she didn't believe her, but this is the truth. They had been through sufferings, that Syleiman had created for them. The worst part, is that Syleiman had been placed himself too to these sufferings all these years, but he never saw that he was making all his beloved ones sad and grieved.
Babe this is all fiction
Hurrem is really to blame for the death of Mustafa no less than Suleiman. Even more probably. Slander, which led to the death of an innocent person, is a very serious crime. In general, all the women of this family are guilty of the death of their beloved shehzade and all were punished for this. Mahidevran killed Mehmed and lost Mustafa. Hurrem killed Mustafa and lost Cihangir. Mihrimah had a hand in the murder of Mustafa and lost Bayezid. It is only a pity that the innocent shekhzade paid for the sins of these sultanas with their lives.
@@mahfiruze6727 mustafa was suleimans son, not hurrems, so suleiman is way more to be blamed, stop babying men, ik how people love to show men as innocent naive children when it comes to accountability, suleiman ruled 3 continents and ur telling me he's equal to a brainless child and "women just filled his ears" u all's logic is laughable. These women did everything for their children, they knew either their sons would be k!lled by suleiman or through fratricide so they did their best. Only and only suleiman is to be blamed, he's a grown man capable of making sound judgments esp as he's ruling 3 continents, and esp looking at the actual history, none of these women did anything. According to real history suleiman k!lled Mustafa becuz he was so loved by people suleiman was threatened and jealous of HIS own son. The day men are held accountable for their actions will be the day all cru3lty in the world will end. Also the shehzade's weren't innocent, most of them were plotting behind their brother's back for power, history is a proof of that, the men were the ones who made fratricide a practice and actively perpetuated it but oh well "poor men, they are way more intelligent than women until its about accepting accountability, then they are naive children. These men hold more power and influence than women and made decisions on their own but plz only women should be blamed becuz poor men cant do no wrong even tho they are majority of the m*rderers. And how dare these women, who were enslaved and sold forcibly and now have to fight for their children's survival urghhhhh" absolute bs
Виновата во всех делах хюрем которая постоянно капала на мозги султану постоянно пыталась убить отравить Мустафу и конечно главная вина султана он не смог защитить своего сына от этой ведьмы
I'm surprised Mahidevran didn't die of grief for Mustafa. The fact that she outlived all of Suleiman's kids is astonishing
Someone who lives long, unhappy, miserable life is just not a good person. In Balkans we have a saying "Not even God wants them"
@@draganagavric4944 in Ethiopia we say " not even satan wants them" 😂
she lived for her son's memory; that's what kept her going
@@draganagavric4944 she live miserable because she can't remarry and woman without mans can't find so easy a job (above all if the lady was old). But in the Muslim su1cide is something that Allah don't want and real Mahidevran never was a murder in real life so her desire maybe could be that in the Heaven she will met her beloved son
@@draganagavric4944we don't know if she was bad, only God knows it. But don't be bad and blame only Mahidevran for all that she had been through. Actually, all that she had told, were true. All of them. But the world is cruel, deaf, arrogant, selfish and evil. That's why no one couldn't accept that Mahidevran was actually said the truth about Hurrem, Syleiman, Rustem, even about Selim. But here she is right, Syleiman was the only responsible for all these disasters. Otherwise, who would be so powerful in order to destroy all of these people in such a sort period time? There is truth, yes, but no one is capable to see it and understand it, so they should ask for forgiveness. The one who lives a miserable life, is not his fault always. Mahidevran didn't have nothing bad. She tried to protect his son, she lost her son and she was all alone until her death, 28 years after Prince Mustafa's execution. Her life was miserable because of Syleiman. Wasn't Syleiman the one who chose the life of the family? So why Mahidevran, Ibrahim Pasha or anyone else had a fault in these disasters? It was only Hurrem and Syleiman who caused all the disasters. And so, they left such a glorious state in the hands of one drunkard Prince, the most hated Prince, Prince Selim. From what Syleiman did, I think that he was a stupid, crazy old man, a tyran, a child-murderer, a brother-murderer (he killed his bosom friend, Ibrahim Pasha) and he prefered to kill Ibrahim and Mustafa, so Hatice and Mahidevran could be live in torture. He should kill Hatice and Mahidevran first, if he wanted to kill. But these two executions (Ibrahim and Mustafa) were two huge mistakes (the one would help him take all the world and the other would be able to expand the empire even more).
Lonely Mr Magnificent, losing his shine, glory and thr love of his people. What a sad sight in old age.
Lol get mad Mihrimah, Mahidevran actually was right with every word she said. The death of her son brought her great wisdom, with the start of her dialogue showing great wisdom. Instead of just attacking and blaming Hürrem, she puts all the blame (rightfully) on Suleiman.
Edit: however, I do realise that as always, she considers herself blameless. That is the only fault I can find
She should to follow Hafsa Valide Sultana's words. She too had an man that forget her with other womans. If she would give a great f*ck off to Suleiman and Hürrem and focus her attention on Mustafa she would became wiser and powerful
You are SO right! Whatever plots and devices Hurrem and Rustem prepared, it was Suleyman himself who prepared the execution of his son, nobody else could order the layout of his tent or the mutes to be on standby!
Lol cryyyy! Mihrimah told mahidervan facts! Cryyy now! 🥱
Yes. Mahidevran was right about Süleyman. And Hürrem did what she did because likewise she also had to fight for her kids. So if the blame falls on anyone's shoulders, it's squarely on his more than anyone else's. I also agree that she doesn't see her own blame. That said, I think it's because she represents the side that the writers favoured. So it's as much a blind spot on their parts as it is anything else.
Atop supporting that devil mahidebran enough
What kind of justice is Mahidevran talking about when she herself had killed Mehmet mercilessly she forgot but Hurrem's words really came true even though everyone left her in this poverty but Hurrem's son helped her.👏
Except she Really, Really DIDN’T kill Mehmet. He died of smallpox just like the three younger brothers of Suleyman himself.
Oh for gods sake, its a TV show, not reality 😂🙄
@@annatamparow4917 In real life she didn't. But she did in the show.
are u forgetting before killing mehmet hurrem tried so many times to kill musatfa lol
@@hurremsultannss Evidently! Metal Okay gave the guidelines of the scenario and when she died it passed to Yilmaz Sahin who made a real dog’s breakfast of the series! 30% history, 70% fiction! Shame on the supposed historical advisers!
People are ungrateful. Suleiman did a lot for this Saltanat. He achieved great victories and strengthened the Saltanate. Even in spite of his old age and illness he ruled the Saltanat very well. Mustafa himself had made his character suspicious by hiding many things and Bayezid openly rebelled and wrote his own destiny.
“You either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain”
Even if someone does great their whole lives, one mistake could ruin them, especially if that mistake is at the end of their reign/ lives. It will be what they are known for. However Suleiman is more known for his successful reign, so kudos to him
@@hussainsultanzada6123 I agree you that Suleiman made mistakes, but the people who were criticizing his old age and illness were unfair to Suleiman. He never wronged the people and always gave his best.
And why exactly should the people be grateful? Suleiman lived a life of luxury and glory and had everything he ever wanted it's not like he was a humble person who dedicated his life for the people so they owe him nothing and they are free to think whatever they want
What will you feel when your father tries to take your head for hiding things and bcs your rebelling. It's not about the fault it's about power and control having control all his life he wanted to control everybody and when he felt like he couldn't he executed them even with Ibrahim
@@toptrending9977 Ibrahim was executed because of treason just like Sehzade Bayezid was going to be executed but the Sultan for it also. Sehzade Mustafa and the people around him wrote his death but plotting around, hiding things. Once trust is lost it's not so easily regained.
For those judging Sultan Suleiman, ruling an empire then and now is not easy. It wasn't about control, it was about order and that order begets peace. He executed Ibrahim Pasha rightly so, and Ibrahim Pasha had already executed others in his life for the same reason he was killed.
No one then was innocent, the Sehzade were not above the law too. He protected his Sultanate. For the Sehzade that died, getting to the throne is one part of the journey and keeping it is another. They didn't make it.
No throne, No crown, No sultanate, only the father who kills his sons…

Mahidervan and Mihrimah were the biggest hypocrites of the magnificent century: Mahidervan acts innocent even though team Hurrem knows she killed Mehmet and even though Selim helped her she still curses Hurrem 🙄, as for Mihrimah she played a huge role in Mustafa death and yet she acts innocent ( like Mahidervan) and blames Selim for turning against Bayezid 🙃
Honestly left the chat 💬
True 😅 they are like a mirror. And in the show both lost
@Leo yes
True. I think in Mahidevran's case it comes down to her experiences and self image but for Mihrimah it's pure authorial favouritism.
she also played a huge part at Beyazid's and Selim's hatred. Because by killing Mustafa, that means that the two brothers would be fight and Mihrimah by contributing to the plots against Mustafa, she also made even more close to swords her other two brothers. And she still blames her mother only, however she played a huge part in this betrayal too (stole the seal, wrote the letter, signed with the seal, sent it to her father) and she still has the same expression with his mother: she was absolute in shock. Such an hypocricy by Mihrimah's part.
Sometimes people easily blame us, because they don’t put themselves in our place. Everyone blames Suleiman, how can a father kill his son just for the throne. But they forgot. Suleiman is not only a father,
but also the emperor, who
should be fair in shouldering 2 different responsibilities. Our thinking as ordinary people is not the same as the emperor (Sultan) at that time. I’m not defending the atrocities he committed. But what I’m trying to say is you can hate him but don’t too much insult him with harsh word. Respect Sultan Suleiman as the figure history in Ottoman Empire.
That EVIL Ottaman empire is gone for GOOD. GOD has destroyed it. AMEIN
@@a.m204 yeah your weak god destroyed them after 600 years of ruling half of the world. Do you really think that the Ottoman empire collapsed after Suleiman's death?

But he was terrible in his family management

Oh Suleiman, you can't handle the truth can you. But that last guy did go too far with the last comment. Otherwise, everything they said was on point
Hi mustafa’s 🤖🤖🤖🤖
True 🤣🤣
Selim returning Mahidevran's wealth is probably one of the best methods of revenge he could have given against Mahidevran, since by doing so, he proved her statements wrong.
But in real history Mahidevran never made something against Hürrem's kids and in the end Selim made Mustafa's grave too. Mihrimah helped her mother with power's game for kill Mustafa. In reality Selim II and Mahidevran aren't a murder. Even Hürrem and Mihrimah had their contribuzion in the history the only murder is Suleiman
@@ramn_bennington In real history Hurrem or Mihrimah didn’t have something to do with mustafa’s end, he is known as rebell. So? Mahidervan was evill in real history too. She beat Hurrem and was exhiled from palace for this! Hahahahaha!

On the one hand, Mahidevran was 100% right about Süleyman. On the other hand she could never truly acknowledge her own flaws and mistakes. Good for her for the former, and as for the latter I attribute that to how she processed her own traumas and actions and the writers' blindspots.
When the era of Suleiman was still there: His people denigrated him, forgetting his victory and contribution to them
But after the Suleiman era ended: The people went on strike with the new Sultan’s weak rule and glorified the previous Sultan Suleiman’s rule.
It’s kind of annoying when they know to appreciate him only after he dies. No use anymore😭😭
Sultan Suleiman was probably the best sultan the empire ever had (speaking politically and economically, wars and conquest= Selim I)
I guess it was hard to hear those words about his actions on his family and age (although today, 76 isn’t that old).
He was 71.3/4 when he died not 76.
But yeah back then that was VERY old

Sometimes this show's writing can be bad, sometimes, it's pretty great. The progress in Mahidevran's character is pretty interesting. She may have lost the luxury of a sultana's life, and more than that her happiness that is Mustafa, but she grew wiser. Her poor life and old age have given her wisdom.
Kind of. In some ways yes, in other ways she didn't really develop.

You are truly a fool. Not only you but all the evil Hurrem's fans
Mahidevran is really an expert in forgetting her own mistakes and always remembering the mistakes of others. She never misses an opportunity to spit poison. Mahidevran is the most unlucky women in this show. First her husband didn't love her and left her for other women. He always put hurrem and her children first before Mahidevran and mustafa even though mustafa was oldest heir. Hurrem tried alot of times to kill mustafa by either sending concubines(efsun) or by either conspiring against him. She finally successfully plotted in suleiman's head that mustafa is a traitor but actually he was the most suitable shehzada among all hurrem's son's. After mustafa death mahidevran was forced to live in old Palace, suleiman also cut her monthly allowance but she by her own money did a lot of charity. And that cunning evil hurrem lived happily in Palace. What a fate to good people in this world.

And once again the show equates military prowess and prosperity.
Its very unfortunate to see, a king's greatness is considered on number of war he waged and the victories he made or the length of his reign. I feel one king's gretlatness should be evaluated on the living conditions of his subject, how much art and science is developed during his reign.whether they have been provided with sanitation, water, shelter, cloth, food etc. Unfortunately these are never be the parameters. That's the reason we still worship, kings who waged the maximum number of war and ironically every war weakens the strongest of strongest economies.

It's weird that Mehmet wasn't even mentioned in this conversation, only Bayezid was Mihrimah's favourite I guess
I feel like Mehmet was her companion. The brother she grew beside since they were only like a year apart in age and did everything together. While the younger boys were the ones she watched growing up and caring for them since they were babies. So I think in terms of picking favorites out of the younger ones, Bayezid is it. Aka there is a difference between the one you trust to stand beside you and the one you find precious because you enjoying caring for & spoiling them. That type of favoritism.

Historically speaking Sultan Suleiman was unfortunatily a big dissapointment and a shame. God blessed this man with a huge empire, with great wealth, power, and everything else he could have wished of, yet he miserably failed most of them, instead of running a just policy with justice, quality and fairness he rather choose to be blind and unjust firstly by killing of his innocent sons that shook even his enemies, and choosing the least talented as his successor, and then out of all the wise men throughout the empire he chose to be manipulated and consulted by a only a lady who's only "quality" and goal was intrigue, personal interess, and bad fortune for the state, moreover Suleiman like all the rest of ottoman emperors never bothered to visit the Kabaa (islamic pilgrimage) he was so deep focused in trivial and foolish things that he could not even thing about the bigger things, even his military campaigns were weak and fail considering the fact that the empire he was leading was at its peak militarily and economically, the empire was not enlarged much at all during his reign, since again his focus was elsewere with harem intrigues and paronia. It is a historical fact that the Ottoman Empire experienced both its zenith and the begining of its downfall and stagnation at the very same time under sultan Suleiman's reign! “Under Süleyman, popularly known as “the Magnificent” or “the Lawmaker,” the Ottoman empire reached the apogee of its military and political power. Süleyman’s armies conquered Hungary, over which the Ottomans maintained control for over 150 years, and they advanced as far west as Vienna, threatening the Habsburgs. To the east, the Ottoman forces wrested control of Iraq from the Safavids of Iran. In the Mediterranean, their navy captured all the principal North African ports, and for a time the Ottoman fleet completely dominated the sea. By the end of Süleyman’s reign, Ottoman hegemony extended over a great portion of Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Geographic expansion, trade, economic growth, and tremendous cultural and artistic activity helped define the reign of Süleyman as a “Golden Age.” Developments occurred in every field of the arts; however, those in calligraphy, manuscript painting, textiles, and ceramics were particularly significant. Artists renowned by name include calligrapher Ahmad Karahisari as well as painters Shah Quli and Kara Memi.
In architecture, the most outstanding achievements of this period were the public buildings designed by Sinan (ca. 1500-1588), chief of the Corps of Royal Architects. While Sinan is often remembered for his two major commissions, the mosque complexes of Süleymaniye in Istanbul (1550-57) and of the later Selimiye in Edirne (1568-74), he designed hundreds of buildings across the Ottoman empire and contributed to the dissemination of Ottoman culture. Apart from mosques and other pious foundations-including schools, hospices, and soup kitchens, supported by shops, markets, baths, and caravanserais-Süleyman also commissioned repairs and additions to major historical monuments. The tile revetment of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, as well as several additions to sites in Mecca and Medina, the two Holy Cities of Islam, date from this period.
His work codifying laws earned the Sultan his Ottoman honorific “Kanunī,” or “law giver.” He is still remembered globally as Kanunī, a status that earned Süleyman a bas-relief in the U.S. Capitol Building as one of the world's great lawmakers.”

well mihrimah get mad all you want......some people, even mahidevran and hurrem, will be able to face God in the afterlife saying they never went against their own blood......others, like suleiman and herself, will not
dont give spoiler alerts
9:27 mahidrevan plotted and attacked first. Yes she got everything she deserved and so did everyone else. Even my Hurrem had to pay a due for fighting them as well.
Очень бы хотелось что султан узнал правду кто оклеветал мустафу что его доченька постаралась интересно чтоб он предпринял
Mirimah was talking about herself literally she thought she qon but she deserved what happened to beyazid
Bwahahahha! SHHOSSHO LOCCO! Mahidervan deserved her end and she got it! 🗑
Bwahahhaahha! Shhsoooshhoo Locccoooo! 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Little valide sultan exiles mahidevil hatun for the last time, so satisfying, like her mother did 13 episodes ago
Mahidevran Sultan. Selim come back her status
@@ramn_bennington mahidevran hatun
@@DimSK. Now but will come back again Mahidevran Sultan. Selim choosen this eh, not me 🤣
@@ramn_bennington well historically and technically speaking Mahidevran was never called Mahidevran Sultan... she was always Mahidevran hatun.
@@ramn_bennington she never was sultana, only mahidevran hatun
Oohh mahidevran you poisoned prince mehmed for the first time, and you act like an innocence woman, you blind by evil all day 😂😂
Mahidevran bitter, jealous 🤮🤮
Mahidevran got what she deserves.
Look at this ungrateful woman mahidevil, again blames others as usual, again this attitude. It's all her fault and as valide sultan said 'you deserved everything that happened to you'
Dude, grow up, you're acting like Mahidevran took a dump on your bed.
Who comments here again? Hussain the Mustafa fan?
@@DimSK. No, it's me pointing out you're acting like a child.
Hah CZcams disappears your comments whoever is it
@@DimSK. lol I don't know who commented but I will now 😂 Mahidevran did deserve the poverty, in fact it made her wiser. But Mustafa didn't deserve his sad fate
.Nasty jealous Mahidrevan! Ugh!
Mahidevran always blame people ...she should mirror herself ..bec in this series she being potray as a bad behavior concubine ..always attact hurrem & very ambition for her son to take sulaiman trone ...i think.she deserve punishment from Sulaiman
