Polygon makes some pretty good low cost bikes. They are one of the few brands I've actually considered buying online from before. Sometimes you just can't pass up a good deal.
Thanks for this. So many "reviews" are just listing the specs with a link to buy the bike while you actually rode the thing and gave us the pros and cons. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it!!! I will have to admit I have done the paper reviews as well but, If I had endless amounts of money I would always do a ride review! HAHAHAHA
Put a PNW Rainier dropper on this bike and makes a world of difference. Very happy with my purchase. Just wanted an all around bike that I could hop on and go without playing around. This fits the bill. Great video- thanks!
I installed a PNW Coast suspension dropper on my Xtrada & it really worked out nice. They're a little pricey, but my lower back appreciates the suspension with the hardtail. I thought that sideways bridge was meant to be that way haha🤣 learn something new every day
Currently looking for my first bike to hit the local trails. Looking at xtrada 6 and the Siskiu D5, currently on sale. My only concern is the D5 is 27.5 wheel. Any recommendations? Trying not to spend more then $1k
If it is your first bike, I typically recommend a hardtail. Helps you on climbs and to become a better rider in the long run. Of course, different people will have different opinions lol
The xtrada 6 has much better drivetrain components than the siskiu d5. They’re about the same price so polygon has to go cheaper on the components to add in the rear suspension.
But, As I mentioned around 1:48 if you do buy one and do not have someone to work on it. Why not take it to a shop? Business is business at the end of the day.
Polygon bikes are the best imo...and their range is excellent. the siskiu series is really the go-to value dual-sus here in Australia. And yeah, entity is their in house part Brand...
Agreed. Beautiful and light alloy frames. Highly upgradeable. Spot on geo. Great range. Everytime I search for the best value in nearly any segment I end up with a polygon on the list. I was thinking of an cc hardtail and seen their syncline. Wow. I have a siskiu n9 from 2019 still... My friend got the siskiu t8 from 2021 and that thing is even more awesome it climbs so well and goes down almost as well as mine with 20-30mm more travel.
@@chickensendiesi actually got the 6 after looking for a while for entry level bikes so this video definitely makes me pretty happy about my purchase I’ve seen a lot of good stuff about it
stay away from this trash and bikesonline, I've had 4 seperate issues with my new bike, poor assembly, valve stem seals leaking, headrest seal half hanging out, brakes rubbing, drivetrain squeaks in larger cogs, weird twanging noises from the front wheel, was no instruction to clean the factory 'lubricant' so i scratched the hell out of the cogs and clogged up the rollers in a short 20min run (how am i supposed to know? you would think that would be a #1 warning) and spent hours cleaning it and dry lubing properly afterwards. I wanted to return within the 14 days and they did not even give me that option. The customer service guys you interact with inside the facility are awesome but that's where it ends. If you have a local bike shop like 99 bikes or something, definitely buy your bike from them instead!!!

I hear this! Especially when they have some of their sales!
Would love to see a dropper install video for this bike, thanks for the in depth review!
Actually working on getting one set up with my buddy!!!

So sick 🤙🏾 the xtrada 6 and 7 great rig for the price 💯. Awesome vid 💪🏾
Appreciate it, Akiva!!! This bike really impressed me!

Hard to beat PNW!!! Stoked you are happy with yours!!!
I love these trails! So flowy! Maybe one day...maybe one day.
I'd love to ride with you man!!!

I LOVE PNW stuff! They make great components and with a lifetime warranty. Very hard to beat!
HAHAHAHA Nope!!! 😆 All good now though!
Do a xt lever swap and a new Fork, and it would be a good budget build. Don't forget contact points
Always contact points! 😃
Pretty impressed with this guy here!
You should do a video of you upgrading the bike.
I am definitely wanting to! Gotta see what the buddy says!
vs the marin Bobcat Trail 5 who wins? great video by the way! in my country the trail 5 is around 920$ and the xtrada 970$
Marin is owned by polygon
Can you make a video of cheap droppers for this bike? please
Or maybe just mention some of them to me? pleasee
I can do this!
Great video! Does it have thru axle?
Appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it! 😁😁😁 This bike is QR front and back so no thru axles.
Polygon rocks!
Definitely a lot of BANG for your buck!!!
Please show a dropper upgrade for this!
I believe my bud is wanting to! So hopefully here soon!

Nobody keeps the stock pedals anyway! You know my opinion of the Deoir derailers,I think there really good, budget or not
Nobody!!!! HAHAHAHA But, The deore was SUPER sharp! I really liked it!
Polygon created entity and uses almost all of their parts like seat and head clamps from entity
Yep! I ended up doing some research after this! HAHAHAHA I appreciate your input!
I had an Xtrada for a little bit, felt super small. I like the idea of the Polygon bikes but it's not for me
I get that for sure, man! Polygon are definitely nice for the sum of their parts.
so you buy a bike in the box and take it to a shop for a check over on the assembly. Did the shop throw you out on your ear ?
No, My buddy bought this and I fixed it up for him 😁 I do all my own bike maintenance/building

Does the xtrada 6 have through axles or quick detach ones?
The 6 has quick release
Is this the best buoe you recommend for beginners? The local shop o ly carries trek
I would not say it is the "best" but it is definitely very nice for the price. There are quite a few nice hardtails around this price 😁
@@chickensendies can you tell me the best beginner bike?
Polygon Heist 2 owner here
Appreciate you dropping by 😁
Bro what is the size of the wheels and frame ?
Thank you
This is a medium 29er 😃

Very nice!!! I was kind of figuring that is what Entity was. Appreciate it, Dave!!!
What is the frame size
This one is a medium. Fit me grrat!
Polygon mKes most frames for the big 3 but their bikes are well made at fair price
I agree there! Very nice for the price. Pretty sweet set up!

7 has a airfork.
Yep!!! I personally really like the color of the 7!
All 7s were sold out for me
