      @@8SecSleeper you missed the point. Why stuff around if workable plans are available for a reasonable price. All the dimensions , material quantities and assembly instructions are really helpful for some people. I am quite capable of designing and building my own gear, other people may not be. What gives you the right to troll them because they ask about plans?

    The fuel system is overly complex. You only need two lines. The return style fuel rails have their own regulator and the pressure is lower than the filter style regulator. You can run the fuel feed line to either style fuel rail. The only difference is if you hook up the return line from the rail or not. No valves or addition lines needed.

    I would love to know some more info on how to setup wiring for a dedicated run stand. I have some slack time in the winter and would like to build a motor with my son (he is 10) but have only interests in GM small blocks and LS platforms.

    When you trimmed down your LS harness, did you need to do anything special for a neutral safety switch to allow the motor to start?

    Why not just use the corvette filter/regulator for both types of fuel rails??? and just block the return off on the fuel rail in this video with aN fittings??

    • @laststopperformance2288
      @laststopperformance2288  Před 2 lety

      You could, either way obviously would work. Reason I chose this way, not that it would make a noticeable difference idling on the stand, but fuel systems that dead head have injector data in the tune that reflect this. Just as systems that do not dead head also have data for the injectors that reflects that. With the method I have shown here you only need to flip a valve and quick connect/disconnect the lines that are needed. Simplicity, quickness to connect/disconnect and keeping it connected as close to stock as possible. Those are my reasons.

    • @dadlife9657
      @dadlife9657 Před 2 lety

      @@laststopperformance2288 I might just create a hose that connects to tank and return from fuel rail if aN block off method gives any issues, I bought a fuel tank with 4 different aN connection points so Making a quick connect aN setup is easy and just use block offs when not in use..... what did you use for throttle setup?

    Would a fuel pressure gauge make sense with this setup?

    • @laststopperformance2288
      @laststopperformance2288  Před 2 lety +2

      You could. If going with a different fuel pressure regulator like an aeromotive you would have to to set the pressure. The corvette style filter/regulator are very common and usually fairly good at keeping around 60 psi as long as you dont have an overpowering fuel pump. Rare occasions I've seen that filter/regulator hit 70 or so psi right out of the box.

    • @23steph13
      @23steph13 Před 2 lety

      @Last Stop Performance so the fuel pressure gauge goes at the end of the line, at fuel rail?

    • @laststopperformance2288
      @laststopperformance2288  Před 2 lety +1

      It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you are using something like an aeromotive FPR then a gauge could screw directly into the FPR. If you are looking to simply verify fuel pressure while using the corvette style then I'd just use the schrader on the LS engine rail. Typically harbor freight carries a basic fuel pressure test kit that you could screw on to verify.

    • @23steph13
      @23steph13 Před 2 lety +1

      @Last Stop Performance looking to verify. Perhaps I will be changing intakes periodically. Was trying to cover my butt and get everything I needed upfront. Probably will do a setup like yours. 👍🏾
