i'm pretty sure the obscene amount of smoke it emits (not even car fumes at this point) is also pretty damn bad in some way
and regarding the moon
removing it would result in nights being way darker (and apparently werewolves exist in this universe so they wouldn't have to worry about transforming), and all waves disappearing as seen in the clip, but also earth's tilt would be severely affected, resulting in extreme weather due to the planet wobbling; also all that water would be displaced because the moon affects water in more ways than just making sure surfers have something to do
so in other words, the earth gets trolled before gru could get the ransom money for the moon
And considering the damage that would be caused if the moon shrunk or was stolen, I would say the untold massive ramifications and damage could deserve a death penalty, or a lot of years, if not, life in prison.
you're missing the point that without the moon, the Earth does not have any tides. So global flooding will ensue, these floods will kill billions and destroy trillions of dollars worth of property. What would Gru get charged with? probably mass genocide, environmental terrorism, destruction of property, crimes against Humanity etc, etc, etc basically every single geneva convention is broken by Gru's actions.

I have a laptop with an intel Realtek Pentium Silver N5030 CPU that runs at 1.10GHz, 4GB of RAM, and an intel Realtek UHD 605 graphics card. I installed Opera GX when I first got it and almost had to return it under Walmart’s 30 day electronics warrantee when it froze up to the point I couldn’t move my mouse after I tried running it. I eventually fixed it but that could’ve been bad. (The moral of this story is: Even if it says it can run on a lower end PC, dive deep to MAKE SURE it will work on your PC in particular.)

Actually, despicable me came out in 2010. Since the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons was signed in 2017, Gru would not be able to be charged with unlawful possession of nuclear weapons, as Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3 of the US Constitution specifically forbids ex-post-facto laws. You cannot charge someone for something that was not illegal when they did it.
