Awesome! I am an Amtrak conductor now and an ex-BNSF conductor. I was the conductor for a Make-A-Wish BNSF train ride we had in Denver. My best day at BNSF and one of my most memorable days ever.
Amtrak i would have to say like the nicest people ever. Every single video like this and even in real life on the few trains and busses i have been on, everyone is so nice and caring and i just like being around them. Great job Amtrak

My husband and I have an investment fund set up for Make A Wish Orlando that we draw from each year specifically to bring sick toddlers and their families to Florida for an all inclusive one week stay at Walt Disney World. BIG Congats to AMTRAK, this was BRILLIANT and best wishes for a fantastic future to Himmy.
This makes me proud to be employee & brought some tears to my eyes !!! With all the 2 incidents that happened at Penn Station, this overshadows all that !!!

If that happened in AUS the National Saftey Regulator would Shut you Before you could say "A safe team On time"I don't know if it's Different But He has to be a Creditied Rail driver Of 18+ Not 8, He also needs to be a accredited safe working Certificate and Needs to be trained on Operation with a Vebal Test EG: You are working a Single Diesel locomotive and four cars though a single line track Block & auto section when your locomotive and Radio fails and you are sent to Protect in the direction of the relief loco, It is Night time, what colour Light do you dislay?" (if anyone knows the answer I will like it)He could be watching the loco an drive it on a test track But not on Main line doing 90Mph
Hes a young cancer survivor which got a rare treat under the closest of supervision & assistance by top accredited employees, not starting his career. If this can take place right here in the US by approval of the federal government, frankly, I'm quite surprised it would be forbidden in other parts of the world.
