Cheers for commenting. It is lovely here indeed, well worth a visit -- or move, in my case :) Sadly though, practically impossible to get a Onewheel. Due to the massive batteries, they don't like to ship here from he US. And if something needed repair, it would be way too expensive to fly these device forth and back anyway. Oh well, can't have everything.

I'd happily live there! 🤩 If I was you, I would look on Fungineers website. You can almost build a board from scratch, diy. Have you heard of vesc? It's an alternative to using Future Motion, also Floatwheel. You can even make your own batteries or see if there is a builder in New Zealand. I'm sure there would be. They are actually better boards, too, in my opinion, no firmware restrictions blocking how fast and powerful the board should be. There are a lot more ways to tinker with the settings, and also no need to send your board all the back to them for repair. Buy a new bit, plug it in, off you go again! at a much more affordable price. I'm converting my gt and my xr to this. Xr first. Look into dude! 🤙 Any questions, just ask. Ah man, these things are great fun. I didn't think I'd love riding it as much as I do. I've been into motorbikes since I was 10, had many different vehicles, and this is most fun I've had on one. The community is great, Facebook groups are good for connecting with others. I never see them around, but I've connected with many other onewheelers this way. People tend to have a good view of these devices. They're interested rather than saying you shouldn't be here, which is nice. Where are you from dude? Thanks bro! 🙏 Glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate that! 🤙If you're interested, I'd highly recommend one. They're extremely portable, easily fit a boot or car seat, on a bus, train. I wil get one asap! I live almost on the beach. My rc cars need 9 hour maintenance after the salt enteres all over the riggs(even on non wet parts because the salt is in the sand) Can I ask what you do after with a one wheel?

Great video bro, question though. What kind of cleaning do you do afterwards to get rid of the sand that slings up into the board. I'd like to ride mine on the beach too! But wanted a cleaning opinion from someone who's done it. Thanks broatha
Hey bro! First off, thanks for watching! It's much appreciated!! 🙏 Glad you enjoyed the video! 😁 As for cleaning, make sure you clean the top part of the battery box as that can hold sand/sea water, I've seen that area get corrosion on other boards, so a good place to make sure it's clean. You'll need to take your rear pad off. I just use a sponge and water, I squeeze the water out so it's not super wet, and dry it with a cloth afterwards. Same as the other areas you clean, I don't use any detergents or anything. I use dielectric grease on my motor and foot pad plugs, which helps prevent corrosion, too. I've got some bearing covers on mine to stop stuff getting in there. I check them every so often and re-grease if necessary. Just make sure you wipe down everywhere, I avoid the wet parts of the beach, and ride in the harder sand areas, not the wet bits. Board needs to be badgered, which I'm sure you are aware of. Float on brother, and enjoy your beach ride! 🧡🤙😁

I took the plunge without seeing or trying one, and don't regret it one bit....Apart from waiting so long to get one! 😅 I'd say after a couple of months, you start to feel better, more calm, not so worried, and that carries on the more miles you get under your belt. @@DarrenAttew bad luck. After it has gone out is good as the sand is hard packed, don't need to skirt the shoreline so much, some choice reflections in the wetter areas of sand
*please please please everyone, badger your onewheel at least and take utter care before you ride on beaches, particularly the port, the button, and the bearings. It's risky for obvious reasons. That said its ace

Hey, sorry for the delay. I've been at Float The Highlands in Scotland for a race event this weekend. Thanks for watching and for your nice comments. It's really appreciated 🙏 I'm 40 myself, so I'm not young. There's many people who ride at much older ages too, so you are never too young! 😁 It's definitely worth it and advisable to always pad up! I wear a Smith helmet with Mips technology, triple eight bum savers (shorts), same brand wrist guards, fox racing knee, and elbow pads. I do wear my backpack for back protection and to carry tools etc, so dual purpose. I will be buying proper shoulder and back protection, as I do like to ride fast. I wear skate shoes, vans, half cab pros. I don't use a drone, I use an insta 360 x3 for most of my shots, and also a gopro hero 7. I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. I'm always happy to help a fellow floater! 😁 I'm really glad you enjoy my content. I'll definitely keep going and hopefully progress with my riding/filming/editing. Let me know how you get on when you get one. You won't regret it! The only regret I've got is that I didn't get one sooner! No, I haven't had any bother from the police. I mainly ride on the trails and enjoy that more anyway. I've heard of people having trouble with the police, but it seems to depend on the area you are riding. All the trail centres I go to are ok with you riding there. I've never had any issues at those places either. Most people, including the police are intrigued by them and ask questions. If you're worried, stick to the trails when you can. Most trails here in my area of New England have signs saying no motorized vehicles.
@sporty04 They say the same at our government run trail centers here, but the people who actually work there have no problem at all. Scooters, sur-ron bikes get asked to leave, but they're fine with us being there. These things don't churn up the ground. If anything, they pack it all down and help the trails. We're always respectful of walkers and mountain bike riders, we don't want a bad reputation, and I think that helps too. I wouldn't let that hold you back man, worrying if you can ride it. They're illegal here too, but I've had zero problems in the year I've been riding, and I've done over 2000 miles.

Ah man, beach rides are amazing!!! 🤩 I made sure I wasn't in any of the wet stuff. I also cleaned it when finished. I've had it in bits quite a few times since, and it's been fine. It's badgered, I also grease all connectors regularly. I wasn't worried bro, take precautions and look after your board, and you'll be fine! Stay away from the water. The hard packed sand is fine 🤙 I don't live on the coast, my folks do, so I can't say anything in regards to the salt air. Eek & Destroy youtuber could say about that more as he's on the coast. Great video and great vibe man! I am on the Isle of Man but haven't ride on the beach yet. One thing though I get anxiety watching you with some dogs running after you. You just ignore them or rolling the dice? I had an accident because of a dog charging at me when riding my onewheel so I am a nervous now riding pass them if I am not sure about the reaction.

I don't think it will be this year, as I've just raised funds for a new vesc build, and I'll be attending a lot of the race events this year for the EOL. I had a GT but then traded in for a GTS and enjoying it a lot.. especially because it's crushing hills for breakfast! 😂But it will be VESC for the next that's for sure!

My GT battery died at 2000 miles, unfortunately. The vesc build is an xr frame, extended version (x10 rails) to use a big tyre! 🤩 I haven't held back with the purchases. It's going to be a monster! 35+mph hill crushing beast! It'll have batteries in the front and rear boxes. Should have it rideable in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned. My injury is almost fully healed now, too 🥳 I've got a stock xr that I'm riding for now. Nice bro!!! you've upgraded to the GT-S. I've not had the privilege to ride one yet. @HallaYourself Not to put you off or anything dude, there's little niggles with all the models, and this is one for the pint x and could be costly or dangerous. It's definitely worth looking at, in the future, for sure! I'm just giving you the heads up, bro! 🤙We all look out for each other. It's an amazing community. My daughter's had 500 miles on it, and the bms wires from the battery were in bad shape. So, just some advice to check it, my man. Unfortunately the company isn't great, customer service wise. They have denied this issue, saying the wires are being damaged when people are removing them to check. There's hundreds of photos of boards showing you the damage. I was super careful taking hers out, I certainly didn't do it by removing it. It was poor design by them, unfortunately. There's even CZcams videos showing you the process. That aside, they're all amazing boards and well worth the purchase. You'll have a blast man! Guaranteed!!! 🤙🔥😎 I love mine, so does my daughter, and everyone I know with one! 🧡 Happy floating my friend! Let me know when you get it!
If you turn on your GT and just don't touch it for about 10min, does it shut itself off? Mine does. Also, if you're riding and your phone dies and the board is connected to the app will it affect the board while riding at all?
Hey man, yeah, this is a feature of the board. Mine shuts off too after 10 minutes, if you don't ride it. It's so you don't drain the battery if you forget to turn it off. No dude, the board won't be affected at all if your phone dies while connected. Your board doesn't need to be connected to operate. @@DarrenAttew I ordered one for 2170 us dollars 21 miles on it. No sales tax bc shipping from Oregon usa. I had an xr but had to sell after my parents both passed away in a short period of time. Sold some farming equipment so I'm back in. Ill let you know mg thoughts gt vs xr after I get it. My advice is buy the flight fins bc control and turning leverage, but still easy to bail if things get sketchy!

You're purposefully riding very close to others. The toddler, in between the dog and owner.. Not good
It's a 360 camera, my friend, and I zoom in and out when editing. This makes things look at a different distance as to what they are in real life. I was never very close to anyone, especially children, as I have one myself. I hope this clears that up for you. I appreciate your concern.
