Be patient. It's difficult at first, but you soon get used to it. Don't give up. Wear protection, helmet, and wrist guards minimum. Don't go too fast too soon, take your time. Ride as much as you can. You'll get better quicker. Find a local group that you can maybe go out for a ride with. You'll learn a lot from others and seeing them ride. @DarrenAttew I have a custom built bbshd mid drive hard tail with a 3 speed hub shifter, setup with electronic shift. I never did board sports, but this and e foil have me very interested! Just good to see people having fun. Paranoid about breaking my hands, guess I'll wear my mtb helmet and some modern wrist guards... I see used ones around online for actually fair prices....800cad for a smaller one.

Got me hooked on speed! 😅 I love to go as fast as I can most of the time, get that rush. The xr isn't quite cutting it 🤪 You pay the consequences though sometimes 😬 Don't get me wrong, I love the odd chill ride. @@DarrenAttew What are you upgrading too? The vesc drop in kit is coming out in June, I believe it was. I'm thinking going that route. I'm 3 weeks in healing. I can walk on it pretty normal now but still tender. I' hoping one more week. I rode it yesterday on the street, but it was sketchy and pushing my luck for sure...lol. If this interferes with my wakeboard season I am going to be very upset. Water still 45 so I got a couple weeks.
