- June is the best month to visit Malta and there are many reasons why! To start with, June has the best weather in Malta, the temperature is somewhere between 23° - 27°! You can easily go all around Malta because all the public transports are working on their Summer schedule. There is a lot of events and festivals happening in Malta in June and also a lot of traditional Maltese festas. I traveled to Malta in September of 2023, and I found it to be the best time to visit. The weather was perfect; there were fewer tourists; and prices were slightly lower for accommodations. Plus, Malta Pride takes place around the same time. It's such a beautiful country. I will certainly be returning in the near future 😊

i've only been at the end of December and thought it was the best time. amazing weather (like summer for us who come from the north, t-shirt, shorts, flipflips and can even swim in the sea! expect locals to be dressed as if they are living in Antarctica tho) and Christmas market.
I have been to Malta 5 times and each time I went at different times of the year. The first time was in August to September, and it was very hot, but , I was alot younger then so I really enjoyed it. Then the next few times I went for the Easter Season which was in March/April, and I truly enjoyed it. The weather was cold and the festivities were fanstastic! The last time I went was for Christmas in 2010, it was really lovely. The climate was just great. Nice and cool. But overall, I would have to say I really love coming around Easter time. I visited Malta from November 2023 to January 2024 and the weather was 90% amazing! Couple days rainy, some days very windy but lovely!! I didn’t feel a cold winter when I was there, loved it!

Hi Alex I came to Malta last June for 2 weeks and and I found that that the first week was OK but not warm enough to swim in the sea but the last week which was the end of June really heated up and it was lovely. July and August is very hot but now I come in September. I hope to be out there this year. I do miss my second home xx

I went to Malta once in Nov/Dec and once in February. I absolutely loved it. Also went swimming in the sea. Less crowded, warmer than at home (Austria 🇦🇹), and not so much traffic. In summer I prefer visiting countries in the North, in winter countries like Malta or Tenerife.
Hi Alex could you do a video on Lija or one of the other three villages? I feel they are a hidden gem and really still have that old fashioned quiet and peaceful feel about them

Hi Alex my favourite mouth to visit Malta is the beginning of November. The Weather has been lovely and sunny and its not too hot. It is in the early to mid 20s which is perfect for travelling around the island. I have enjoyed evenings sitting out for dinner in just a t-shirt and walking around. I came in January this year it was a lovely 15 degrees and it was not to crowded and enjoyed the mild temps for winter in Malta rather than the cold UK winter temps.

I visited Malta in May of 2022 with my husband and friends. We stayed in the Grand Excelsior in Floriana. We were swimming in their outdoor pool at night when it was 21 C and it was just fabulous. Some people thought we were crazy because they thought it was too cold to swim. We were all from Canada so 21 C is honestly just perfect I found. 😂
I'm from Canada as well. I went to Malta this past february and everyone was complaining how cold it was and it was 18 C during the day. It was like spring for us
From the perspective of someone from the American South, the way Alex describes the weather in Malta is exactly the same as northern Florida near the city of Jacksonville. On occasion It makes mild temps seem extreme. Until your body gets used to it you will probably get ill with the flu. This is particularly true in the winter months.
May be you right about June is the best time to visit Malta but after very long and cold winter can't wait and
this year we decided come sooner in May and to make our short summertime here Estonia longer again in August. We usually visit Malta in September. Cafe del Mar also our favorite day club.

We went last year in June and it was gorgeous very hot but we loved it
I also have to say I think June is the best time unless you want to make it also a beach holiday. The sea is way too cold for swimming.
Other than that June is great for everything else you would like to do. Evenings can get pretty chilly while you're out so bring a light jacket or sweater.
July, August and September can be unbearably hot so if you want to tour around I wouldn't advise it unless you take frequent swimming breaks. That's my opinion.
October beautiful mild weather and not so touristy.

Both as a native and a visitor , I always liked the month of "June" - warm days, cool nights, beaches a bit quieter* and still pleasant for hiking/walking (countryside not yet parched). I believe, accommodation and car rental are bit cheaper than Jul/Aug/Sep (peak season).

I am from the Uk and moving to Malta. It says UK passport holders are visa exempt for visa exempt for 90 days within every 180-day period. I was wondering if I would be able to use my visa exemption period to travel to Malta and finalize your single permit application. (I have already got my letter in principle).

We were in Malta two weeks ago - went specifically for the carnival, so could not choose the date much 😄. The weather was very nice - mostly sunny, some 16-17 °C, so April will be warmer. There were less people, much lower prices of accommodation (25% of the summer rates), lower prices of car rental (1/3 of the prices in summer) and you actually could park the car during sightseeing 😅, which is much more difficult in the summer.

I went to Malta in January and it was amazing. It was ~14° C (57° F) every day. Not so crowded and I even saw some people swimming!
just returned and had a fab time. feb and plenty of visitors . warmish weather. could live there.
