As you said this one seems to be the most polished of the series so far and honestly it's a great sign of things to come. Games like this come few and far between so i'll support it. Great video.
i have all the mercenaries games on switch and i absolutely enjoy them. they're the games you'd go to if you want to just jump in and play it with simplicity. the one thing that bug me about these games are having to search for invisible treasures on the map and that how you find the best gear in the game.
This game and the next one in the series the wild lynx are really good. It improves on everything this game did and the animations are much smoother too
😆 so the one I reviewed was actually is the call of the wild lynx, but I used the wrong cover art. Troddy(another game reviewer) roasted me for it, so I left it up because it annoys him 😆
if you like this game you will like Fell Seal: Arbiters Mark but the biggest game i have seen that has been slept on in the FFT category is yu yu hakusho tactics on the game boy advance
nah no zodiac DOB/name but poor man's final fantasy tactics is this series. 0:33 OG FFT is as unplayable as FF5 once you play the remake/pixel remaster. I'm just testing the AI as a lot of games between Mercenaries Saga 3 and especially false Phoenix I did a vid of, have AI that chills out the second you're out of range. I also don't like the class item though puzzle pieces are interesting for rare weapons. 2:05 yes believable dialogue helps lol better than mercenaries blaze that actually names people illegal (immigrants). Mercenaries Rebirth (video title has typo) visuals are an improvement I admit and I see they kept the team leader from phoenix, which I hope is better. 6:20 this is kinda a 2nd trilogy (to be fair saga was on 3ds/mobile, does have serviceable stories in general at least). 4:26 healing kinda sucks in this series as you can use items and they level jobs (race to level 20) slower as killing/attacking will speed up exp. 6:46 SRPG's are pretty common (Fire emblem, Disgaea/NIS, advance wars coming out albeit delay, super robot wars to import though SRW30 is coming out, Mario Rabbids/XCOM, and I'm waiting for Metal Slug Tactics). You have to note the visuals in your recommendation, are subpar for this series, compared to what I mentioned, you won't like the battle animations even if this is a little shiny to the rest of the series.
@@Ponaru it's a broken mess that forces you to exploit the game. Go wiegraf trap yourself if you don't believe me. The remake at least salvages some stuff (charging was improved and even the bad Rafa/Malak guaranteed a hit and Meliadoul could do armor piercing moves to monsters), but I'm bored exploiting even black mage Delita with the appropriate elemental rod (flame rod with fira) to 2 shot Algus by save scumming until he doesn't auto potion. Then chapter 4 Orlandu who can 3 shot the final boss. But you believe I have no credibility while being compromised yourself since you believe it can be played fairly and not waste time in a circle with 1 enemy left with stupid commands for JP farming like squire throwing stones, thief steal Gil or orator begging for money. Even Agrias is power crept once you get her back in chapter 2 if you have a good ninja setup or samurai. She just helps when there's height. And don't get me started on that calculator bs that's an easier win button than auto potion from a chemist where you bypass a ton of their other BS skills.
I love when a game comes on the PS store that evidently is part of a 9000 game series and yet I get to play something in the middle. Same thing with that scaffold (?) walk around final fight but you look like Alucard game, evidently it's part of a 10-game series as well. Put them all in a damn collection Developers
Extra Banter. I was hyper interested in Triangle Strategy... only to find out it is one-third pure... dialogue! The other one-third is running around in towns talking to people to influence that "Scale" system, with the last one-third being actual Strategy Combat. I was very disappointed, I mean I absolutely love Shining Force in which you also have towns to run around and buy stuff but Shining Force gets going without taking 2 hours for the first fight and boring me between fights with a ton dialogue. So I was looking to the Mercenary games for the fix I was wishing for, with Triangle Strtategy.
Thanks for showing us this game, I've been lookong for a game like this for a while, keep it up
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

@@nemA96 oh i even subscribed. Love the authenticity of the content. It’s refreshing.
@Grounded thanks alot! I'm constantly trying to improve my quality and will try my hardest not to suck. Lol
i skipped it cuz of that ps1 graphics but damn im def buying it now since im huge fan of tactic gms
thx man for the mini review
I think you'll enjoy it, thanks alot for checking out my channel. I really appreciate it.

I agree with you 💯 on the treasures, I didn't find out about that till late in my first run.
I do to great games all six of them
also the treasure thing is fixed in part four five and six
they aren't invisible in those ones

@@nemA96 lol I just noticed that's the one you reviewed and not mercenaries blaze. Both are good
Great review I'm playing the game now just wish the job system was a little better other than that the game is great
I agree completely, im glad they keep improving these games. Are you excited for triangle strategy?
I've seen the game around but never played it , sounds good
For people that are into strategy rpgs, it's fun.
nice review, i enjoyed it

I wish I had access to the gba, that would be cool to check out. I'll look into fell seal.
Persoanlly i feel Battle for Wesnoth is the best and most slept on AND it's free
so true
Hey I had a question can you change the characters names or no?
No you can't their names, images are all set.

😆 🤣 I know exactly what you mean, I waited years to fully experience most of the games in the "legend of heroes" series
Hope this comes to Pc
is this only for switch?
It's also on the ps4, and I think it'll be going to or is on steam
Is this on switch?
Yes it is! That's how I played it.
@@nemA96 did you play the next one in ther series yet? It's really good
Hot take but i actually enjoyed this more than triangle strategy
I can see that, in many ways. Triangle strategy is great, but its sooo much dialog.
Oh, it's not on PC. Guess I'll just play it for free on one of the Switch emulators then.
I'm suprised, I'm pretty sure the other games came out for p.c
Only Mercenaries Blaze is for pc
I've got only 2 real issues with this game. No jobs even though we're a mercenary group and the enemies in free battles are set.
The jobs thing was an issue with me
