  • This a little jam with the Behringer System 100 Eurorack modules (clones of the Roland System 100 m). I really like the sound of this system, particularly the saw wave. I did not like the filter at first, but it has grown on me over time. Thedse modules are a great way to get into Eurorack without spending too much.
    Other mdules used in this jam: Erica Synths Pico SEQ, Eirca Synths pico DRUM2, Mutable Instruments Clouds DIY Clone, Erica Synths Pico DSP.

      @@JPblasc I first saw Erica Synths Fusion Modules about 1 year ago, and I have been working overtime, and coming up with plans to just buy one of them, haha. Even just one Erica Synths Fusion VCO v2. I've been looking at the back side of the module PCB because I'm an electrical DIY kind of guy, and it's too hectic for me, about 18 amplifiers on the module, with 3 bridge brigade delays, no wonder they get that entirely uncompromising sound.

    I don’t understand how one of the major sellers for these modules like sweetwater or reverb who like to make videos showing off the hardware hasn’t collected a massive amount of them and set them up to be a eurorack clone of Hans zimmers Roland modular. Dude has dozens and dozens of each module like 40-80 of each thing if I recall. It would be insane to hear a eurorack version of this synth. Play some of the pieces he’s made with it.

It’s a great way to test something new without buying the series. The Strega is an excellent noise oscillator with the 100 next, the 115! Best deal for the money!and they both sound fantastic!

It's the learning about how to link a vco -> envelope -> effects -> vca etc. Most of the hard stuff has been done with semi's. I see you have a lot of compact modules.. makes sense. This 104HP Moog case I am plannign to buy gets filled up fast with these system 100 modules. Mabye I should pass on the 150 and go for slimmer parts later.

      Hi! The pico drum goes through an Erica Synths pico Dsp, in delay mode!

    Sounds really good. I am wanting to purchase a few of these system 100 modules. What are you using for bass? Or is one of the voices?

    • @JPblasc
      @JPblasc  Před 2 lety

      I do recommend these modules, $100 for a vco+filter+vca is an unbeatable price, and they sound great. Bass is one the 110 modules and melody is the other. Thanks for listening!

      @@JPblasc Wow impressive that you get such gerat sound with 2 instruments using only two vco! I was gonna start with 112, 121, 130, 140, 150 and 173. The 110 isn't available anywhere that I can find otherwise I would of probably just got two of those instead of the 112, 121,130.. since it takes up less space in rack. I gues those modules should be enough for me toi get started. I think Imight add Maths next since everyone gets that one.

    • @JPblasc
      @JPblasc  Před 2 lety

      @@jenniferw8963 Thanks for your kind words! 110 Is a practical module, but with 112 + 121+ 130 you get a bit more (like oscillator sync, modulation inputs, fixed HPF, linear + exponential VCA)! The 140 module is essential. 150 I have never used, but it looks great for more complex modulation and sound shaping. The 173 seems a bit too large for what it does (2hp makes some inexpensive passive multiples that might be a better option). I would maybe sacrifice the 173 and look for a delay module (but thats just me, I love effects). It will be a super complete system!
