just looked it up for 3/14-3/19/2020, as a platinum member using points with the 5th night free, the room featured in this video cost 555,000 points (or $1,000+355,00 points)... and also $745 for the seaplane (only available during daylight hours) per person, and $5.60 per kilo over the initial 30 kilo for luggage.... not going to be cheap... If you don't have a saturday within your stay period, it's only 540,000 points. note, the package that includes food is not available using points...

Definitely need more videos showing us actual travel. All these channels say they’re about teaching you to gain/use points but never show the fruit of that work. Most of these channels now come down to comparing Amex vs Chase every week.

Transportation from the airport to The properties are really really expensive what option did you choose and how much did it cost?
Just as an example I was quoted $ 1,724 round trip transfer for 2 people from Male airport to Waldorf Astoria Maldives . Conrad is less expensive but not cheap by any means $1,180 for 2 people round trip transfer . Not sure if anyone has different ways around this .
There's no (economic) way around this from my research. You can charter your own boat but prices seemed equally pricey.
We used points for the resorts but we're eating the boat/seaplane fees. Breakfast would be another one but it can be dodged with status.
We almost witnessed DJ #AskSebby on the Ones and Twos towards the end of the “video.”

Prices are usually higher on the Amex booking website $10 or more. Even when you use points for these vacations, you still had to spend a fortune to accumulate enough points to pay for them. Anyways enjoy!
Intro bonuses offer outsized value. Most people hit bonuses by paying rent/tuition/business expenses (i.e., Plastiq).
I'm probably heading back to the Maldives in a year or so via points (Conrad, Hyatt, JW/Ritz this time).
Zero reason to book on the "Amex booking website" since this is a terrible use of points. General best use is transfer partners (i.e., Virgin Atlantic via 30% promo for ANA First class).
99% of the time, it makes zero sense to transfer Amex MR to Bonvoy; maybe top off?
Thoughts on AmEx shut downs? To be worried or not?

We were at St Regis Maldives: 10/14/19-10/19/19 and stayed in OWV #504. The sandals and hat were complimentary, but the beach bag was $49. Please do points breakdown video and videos of their amazing Buffett and a la carte breakfast and the world class spa with steam room, very nice sauna, and the blue hole experience that was rated best in world.
