Great mini battle.... and watching this episode of the combat of one of the battles in France-Belgium I really came to some conclusions:
- The Stukas were fundamental to the Germans
- The French tanks were superior to the first German tanks of the war (but their guns weren't that good against tanks except the 75mm.... I didn't like the 47mm, I thought it was weak for the caliber).
- The British had very good equipment although their medium tanks were slower.
- German tactics were crucial to their initial victories.
- The German 88mm Flack cannon was really efficient .

Only part of French tanks was better than German. French army had a lot of ww1 Renault ft tanks
the french 47sa35 was actually okay against tanks, many of the shells the german army had were old designs which had trouble against french and british armor
the british 40mm also lacked HE rounds for use against infantry
the 88 was as efficient as similar allied AA and artillery guns, it really is the generals that shined by getting the idea to bring them to the front when the pak36s proved not enough
in the end what doomed the allies in 40 was the fuck up in the ardennes and lack of coordination between the armies which allowed rommel and guderian to cut them off in belgium
The battle was really great and fun! Seeing the Stukas destroy the Anglo-French positions was amazing to see! Those 88 flaks were crucial. Glad to see the Germans win, though it's a shame that they lost 2/3s of their armor in this battle. Though it can't be helped since during this time, German armor didn't bring up the big guns until later.
