I was on that plane, so frustrated that the pilot chose Manchester for the diversion, we lost 5h trying to find fuel, instead of being 60-90min late ! Now Lufthansa's refusing to compensate the passengers saying the weather was the problem, but all other planes landed on time in Frankfurt. I think it was just poor fuel management on the pilot's part (he said he didn't have enough fuel to wait in the circuit, but if he didn't have enough fuel for 5-10min of standby, then the margins weren't calculated right)... Oh well, it was at least a story to tell. Thanks for taking a video :) PS: I confirm the 747-800 doesn't exist, it was only mentioned a few times by mistake by the FAA, it's 747-8
Regular airone 747s into east mids at the moment. Well worth a visit. 2 queens worrk east mids hong kong muscat circuits. Its possible to see both within a few hours
@blueskyliveAviation, this is going off off-topic but I said to aviation fans on the Facebook page that if had the money and back from investors I would bring back either british midland airways or britannia these icons. Back on the topic it nice to see lufthansa boeing 747-800 into Manchester airport. I am glad people's like Blue Sky Live Aviation record it for people like me to see I am aviation fans. Keep up with good job
Still a magnificent sight and always will be! ❤ Anyway, as for all the speculations what caused the sudden unexpected visit: they were just stopping by for pint in the nearest local … 😂 But more seriously, if the reason for the unplanned stop was indeed a medical emergency I hope the person with the serious health problems is well again! 🙂❤️🩹 From FRA with love to the UK! ❤
That doesn’t make sense, the distance Mexico City to Frankfurt is less than 10 000 km which is far less than the maximum range of 13 000km with full payload, and it was a flight to the west which means less fuel consumption. If they didn’t have enough fuel for some extra rounds in Frankfurt , someone clearly did not carefully check the weather forecast for Frankfurt. The weather forecast for the next 12h is absolutely precise and reliable nowadays.
During the livestream, people came with all kinds of reasons why it could have been diverted. But that's all speculation. If it was indeed a medical emergency, I can only hope that the person is doing okay.

Absolute quality, both filming and commentary. A pleasure to watch.
That was a great catch, beautiful aircraft!
What a beautiful landing by a beautiful plane. The daddy, mummy, uncle and aunt of them all. Oh I wish more airlines including BA flew the 747-8.
I've seen the landing on stream, just. What a beauty that aircraft is though. 😍
That did it for me. You’ve got a new subscriber. All the best Mick.
Thankyou Sir👍

Definitely the star of today's stream.
Me and my other half were at the end of the runway by the lights watching it come in, it's mad

Top of our stairs. Great catch. 👍
Incredible catch
Exquisite! 😍 Second Queen I've seen today. Had a long, lingering look at Cathay Pacific Cargo 747 that landed at LHR ~BST17:00.🥰
Nice capture
I miss seeing the queen of the skys so much at Manchester they just seemed to disappear over night
I subbed just before it came into land. What a fantastic catch and a great show after watched till it ended and a big fan of your channel now 😊💯
Thankyou, much appreciated
Beautiful
That’s amazing wish I was there today to see that
Nice one guys, TAS now said that the reason for divert, was “ apparently” to take on extra fuel ahead of likely extra holds at FRA due to weather
Cheers seb, thanks for letting us know

Medical emergency! Best aircraft you'll see this year ! ! !
I miss seeing these beautiful aircraft flying over my area. Get the A380 whales but not the same !
So miss the queen 😢
There was a major emergency medical wise situation on board hence the diversion
Must be the same crew as YG that diverted to LHR recently ... like a bit of the UK obvio ..
👑
Shes still got it the beautiful girl
I SAW IT TOO
Seeing reports of a medical emergnecy aboard - passenger with cardiac arrest. Not sure how reliable that info is thogh.

I was on this flight 😅🎉🎉
Why did it divert?
It's unknown still
@@marjolein523 Ok thank you
probably weather and the fuel wasnt high enough, manchester is one of lufthansa's designated divert airports though which is why it came here
@@aviationwzy but that's all speculation.
Great catch another great surprise at Manchester
Hi, there is no 747-800, it‘s just 747-8:)
