From a none card seller OMG I really enjoy the complete knowledge of learning a great hobby thank you and blessings!!
Amen
Great episode. I’m stoked to see a seller that was 100% honest and reasonable with what he had. Very cool.
Pure Americana. It doesn't get any better than this. With all the nonsense going on in the world this restores some hope in humanity.
I think 32 would have been fair.. he was a good guy.. my heart kills me in selling shit
I kept thinking this guy looks and sounds like Seth Rogan lol another great episode
yeah a mix of Seth Rogen and Neil deGrasse Tyson hahaha
Love your videos! I work with Veterans, that I’ve introduced to the hobby. Hobbies give them necessary “downtime. When I can find them cards, we get together, watch your videos, and they trade among themselves. Finding these collections, and cards in general, not only bring smiles to their faces, but make me feel even better. Once again, thank you for all you do. 🇺🇸
Hi there,
I am a new subscriber to your channel and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate your channel. I’m an older man and I love the vintage cards. I’m going back into your library of videos and I will watch them all.
Best Wishes,
Peter
you'll like the old episodes.
Start from the beginning, episode 1 and enjoy watching them. There’s nothing like this channel.
These stand up people are everywhere in this country! Wholeheartedly great people. Awesome collection ❤❤
Agreed
So true.
Great community boost on spreading the love of the hobby
You got that right!
I own a PSA Graded Gretzky Auto paused the video looked it over and it looks spot on! Great find!!! Another great find the Mantle looks spot on as well if it's a fake its a really, really good one! Reminding you I'm no expert! Love the down to earth people you find. I work until 5 pm every day during the week really wish you would drop these episodes around that time!
I had my popcorn ready and waiting before I started because I am always intrigued and entertained by these episodes. If I wasn't so busy and lived closer, I might just offer to help you sort those cards to see what treasures are uncovered. As someone who has bought a big collection, I understand the grind time and mental effort it take to sort, list, and sell cards.
Great episode. Enjoyed it. Guess I’m going to have to check out some whatnot streams. Looks like some great things coming up. Honestly, you guys are top notch. Glad to see you back out there.
Absolutely love this channel ❤️
Really fun episode! Such a likeable guy. Happy to watch it, but.... now I'm sad that it's over lol.
Gretzky, looks real!
I see he's a fan of the stadium club Gold Minted refractors. They are awesome. That and heritage refractors.
Both is the answer
It just keeps going! Great Episode guys! Love the show!
Thanks for tuning in!
@@CHASINGCARDBOARD Of course, it's my go to show on my lunch break! Always excited when I new episode drops!
Another U-haul collection, u guys are crazy, haha
I absolutely LOVE this channel. I pray to god you get a TV deal bc this is GOLD🔥🔥
Thanks 1997!
Colby White is actually hooping now. That X was disrespectf 🤣🤣
Great episode. Ty, I think we need coffee shop reviews to be included in these from now on.
Yes we do haha
Another fantastic episode! Great job Chasing Cardboard team
Thanks Brian!
Cool episode. Just wish you showed more of the bangers. Show some Jordan inserts.
Absolute gem of an episode. I can’t wait to watch the next one. Im also looking forward to the whatnot stream to see what I can buy. I would love to follow in your footsteps
Haha,
Thanks for tuning in!
Do not buy cards on whatnot unless you like to pay 5x of comps. Do some research first
Great for the seller to get on Ramsey plan. It changed lives for the better!
More great stuff TY. Did you buy collections this big before the show started
Yes, but not as often :-)
First, truly enjoyable episode. As for the Mantle, I’m going to say with a good degree of certainty that the mantle autograph is fake. A large part of my collection consists of vintage mantle cards as well as mantle memorabilia. I have multiple autographs that are either PSA, JSA or Beckett certified. I have his early 50’s auto as well as his post 50’s autos. The auto looks forged
Great deal, Both respectful and honest. Nice cards and maybe some gems
Agreed!
Bardstown, Kentucky- they don't call it the hotbed of the hobby for nothin'!! 🤣
Excellent episode.
I’ve watched and liked every episode. Can’t wait for the next episode
Best card related content anywhere thank you for the awesome entertainment and keep doing what you do
Thank you!
Cool episode. Bardstown is a beautiful area of KY.
I really do love your show. I always feel like I'm watching a network cable quality production.
Thank you so much Rao!
Great show!
Thanks Brad
What a great guy Joadee is. Man he is awesome. He is good people.
Well thank you!
Great guy seems like. I was honestly to wait for a crazy high number when he said 60k at the card shop. I figured he’d want another 20k from the stuff at his house. But he knows what’s there and the time and cost you’ll have to do in the future with that massive collection. Very cool to see.
Great job buying this collection and hoping you’ll have some of those Topps Traded set for sale?
Best background music yet!
Not evening a sports card fan but I am a collector and just love watching these video's. The time and effort that is put into them is truely outstanding and always makes for a great watch. Keep up the good work from Aberdeen, Scotland
Come to Iowa, it’s been 50-70 here for the last 3 weeks
What a great episode! Love your channel
Thanks so much!
3 am chasing cardboard video time woot woot!
Great video guys, I’m new to ur channel and I enjoy 😊
Thanks for coming
I have made good money on cards and unopened boxes over the years but I like collecting cards
great episode felt like a show
I love how you go up and knock at the door but somehow already have a camera man in the house too.
It’s a Jedi mind trick
Do me good Ty, on what not, with vintage. I know you got a deal on this! And keep BMyers out of the auction! Love the videos, as always!
See you on Friday night!
I really enjoyed this.
Just like you enjoy all the sports 😂😂😅😅
This might be the best episode yet!
Sweet!!! Thanks for the feedback!
Dude had an amazing collection and definitely seems like a genuine good dude. I’m happy y’all were able to work a deal. Heartbreaking story about Mr. Jason Ellis. I looked into it a little bit while watching this video. I feel his pain. To not know who did it doesn’t give you a face to aim your anger and hurt. One of my best friends was murdered the day before my birthday a couple years back. Still isn’t solved.
Jason was a great friend and person. Definitely will never be forgotten.
88 topps factory set was my intro to baseball cards. Another awesome video. Thanks 👍
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣. I started collecting at age 8. . 1968 Topps baseball
That Ohtani, (27:45) 2018 Topps Stadium Club Gold Minted SGC 9.5, down in the dark basement cubby hole was pretty surprising. Just a random $1,500 card mixed in with that stuff. I love it!
That’s what started my collection of stadium gold minted! Bought it in a collection sent it off thinking it was a sepia, then I learned something.. been collecting any player of that parallel for a while now! Thanks for noticing!
@daCOPondaBOX ha that's funny, I thought they were sepia cards when I first saw them also.
Good episode, i think you will do well. I'm looking forward to the auction. Need that Shohei!! 🔥🔥
Ty. Holla. I have a ton of slabs. Been collecting since I was 8yrs old. Would love to hear from you
Good on Ty for the negotiation, that was very kind of him to be completely honest. I think he could’ve stood strong at 25K especially with his reputation and taking the whole shop/ collection. Theres a lot of respect for him to feel comfortable and settle at 27.5K, it was subtle but very kind. They both walked away feeling good about the deal, great video as always!
What a collection but this is a ton of work!! Excited to see some of this on Whatnot and happy for y’all. Keep chasing!
Pretty dope sale!
That was a win for everyone.
Hey what happened to the past guests that cracked the code of prospecting was that a video suggestion that I missed? 😊
Thank you all for the show.
I linked both of those episodes at the end...
Ty - Great Episode. Team - Fantastic Editing!
Question, do you factor in the travel/Uhaul into each deal or is that just write off content for you?
We have to make a profit on each collection to pay for all the expenses such as…. Gas, food, lodging, flights, uhaul, storage units, shipping supplies, etc. and at some point we have to pay the film crew, editor and maybe Ty. Time costs money. Otherwise the show ends.
Congrats. Seemed like both sides were happy.
Just WoW!! Ty
Yes!!!
Need some follow up videos of collections where you go over some of the highlights of the collection.
Another great episode, CC Team. Always great to see both buyer and seller happy. 👍
I wasn't aware of the issue with Mark Jackson's card (17:12), and would be none-the-wiser had you not pointed it out. It sent me on a dark rabbit hole, which culminated in a photograph of Abraham Lincoln's second inauguration, with John Wilkes Booth in view (blame Sports Collectors Daily article 8th Dec. '18 article). A whild ride!
Great show! I'm a sports guy, but the 1966 #1 BATMAN is a great card, I hope the deal had one.
Joedy is an awesome guy and realtor. You all killed this episode!
Thanks KG!!! It was awesome, and those guys are genuine..
YESSSSSSSSS another person that loves Gypsey Queen
Love it!!!! He got several no name plates and a couple of jersey variations!
No telling what you will find digging into that collection. Very enjoyable episode.
I have tiger rcs and Dale Jr's . I have collected a lot of cards. A vary diversified collection of well north of 100k cards
Love the Antique Archeology hat!!
Checked a dozen Ebay Wayne Gretzky psa certified auto's. Those auto's look way different.
👍🏻
That Gretzky Auto is real.
Really like the videos you do like this one. Very entertaining and interesting to see the collections And prices.
Gretzky 100%real auto the mick no way you can see the different pressure points not flowing
Ty you need to buy a school bus and take out half the seats. That way you have enough room to haul your purchases and your help...
realistic sellers are awesome
Agreed!!
The mantle is fake, the loop under the M’s, the Y is never closed like that, and the No. 7 doesn’t look right to me, for starters lol. I love the show!!!!
Shoulda got some bourbon on your way out!
Haha.
Gretzky Auto is somewhat real, but it was at a time when he was using an auto pen! It was a time in the early to mid 90’s when Gretzky would use this auto pen! After his trade to Los Angeles, Gretzky really brought popularity to hockey in the south. He’d get so popular that 100’s of cards would get sent to him everyday, and since he was busy playing hockey, he would have an auto pen sign these cards! Very cool nonetheless
A good deal for both...good value and I would guess you'll find a few big ones in there.
Best channel on CZcams ! 😎
I saw the building with the bat (Louisville slugger in Downtown) and I automatically knew you were in Louisville,Kentucky!! I was there for months and just never thought about exploring for cards a few years back😭
This was such a good episode!!!! Everything about it was great and Jody was awesome too! It’s nice to see sellers who are honest and up front and a great deal for both parties. Keep chasing!
Nice card great deal. It just got to him he was overwhelmed. He should just take his time and go over the cards. I am sure he had treasures there that’s life that’s how it goes sometimes.
Idk if I’d just nonchalantly cross out Coby White… kid has been balling
Watching this as a new subscriber, and a diehard cub fan originally from Pittsburgh
i always love your videos....
Glad you like them!
Yeah sucks that Mickey Auto isn't real. But I'd like to buy it because of it's a mantle piece. Can't wait to see it in one of the auctions.
The Jason Ellis story is so sad. Now I want his cards
He truly was an amazing person.
I was recently listening to the podcast about this
Good episode cant wait to see the auctions!
Nice Mikes brother
You think he looks like me??
@@BaseballCollector Watching from my phone at the beginning I’m like oh it’s Ty and Mike 😆
Under what name are you guys under on eBay? Tried a few variations but couldn't find you guys!
I dont know why it is.. but Kentucky literally has so many great collections up for sale all the time.
Can’t wait to buy some of this on what not!
You cant wait to overpay for cards on whatnot?? 😂
This is the guy that gets on whatnot and buys into 4 case breaks of immaculate
I don't think Joedy was that guy....
Very interesting video. I myself have been considering, with "encouragement" from my wife to sell my collection. I sell occasionally on ebay but less than pleased with the fees involved. I considered opening a store but still work full-time. Anyway, thanks for this informative video.
Thanks for watching!
Another amazing episode. I'm still waiting to see a collector with tennis cards. Not sure if I ever will. So happy you made the deal.
Gretzky is real
It looks like a real auto of both
This is probably one of the hardest shows for me to watch because I'm not going to lie I get so jealous watching these guys find these unbelievable collections and making a small fortune off of them because trust me they are lol I've been collecting sports cards for over almost 40 years now and when you've been in the business as long as I have and the hobby it is your dream turn run across collections like these at garage sales or in listings!! I mean to me it's better than winning the lottery I mean that's the best feeling in the world to come across big collection of vintage sports cards it's a dream LOL
