Didn't really quit. He's not pursuing College Wrestling at this point because he believes he has a higher calling and that is to be a Navy Seal.
I don't think you meant anything negative by it, but when you say a dude quit...it just has negative connotations(even if I think it's fine to choose to not Wrestle in College for ANY reason).

Can't it just be retirement? Quitting means you started something and you're not finishing it.
