O saudoso Edvaldo Novais, tecladista e mentor do grupo Altos Louvores, usou durante muito tempo um D20 que era o top da época. Aliás, em quase todas as capas dos álbuns do grupo Altos Louvores o Edvaldo Novais estampava com orgulho seus teclados, o que deixava a gente babando... 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Puede que no sea un teclado que impacte tanto sus sonidos como el M1 en su día o como un teclado actual, pero al menos para mí es un teclado con "alma" y que suena por las notas altas sin estridencias, con mucha calidad. El sonido performance "warm pad Fade" no lo he vuelto a escuchar en ningún otro teclado. Tiene algo que lo hace inimitable.

D5, 10 e 20. E ainda tem a linha U10 e U20. Eram os Entry e Mid Levels da época.
Eram acessíveis e em meio às bandas se saiam bem. Sozinhos nem tanto.
A Roland ao contrário das outras marcas, desconectou os modelos do seu histórico de evolução.
O U-20 e toda linha D é conectado historicamente ao D70, que é conectado historicamente aos JVs, que são conectados aos XPs que é conectado aos XVs que são conectados aos Fantom’s.
Até há citações, mas muito fraco historicamente. D5, 10, 20 e os U10 e U20 preencheram as lacunas de muitos tecladistas que não podiam ter DX7, M1, K1000, SQ1 e 2. Salvaram muitos tecladistas, igrejas e bandas com finanças limitadas.
Me agrada ver um exemplar sobrevivente. Afinal é história e história é aprendizado.

I have the e-28.the e-series you featured so far all sounded the same to me, as I can't see. so naturally, I would never see the looks. how does this sound better than the rest? as usually keyboards are supposed to sound better with the upgrade. but this is the best in the e-series I've heard. but this is only my opinion.

I was not asked...but please allow me to give you MY opinion about it: Probably YES (especially in terms of design and due to certain technical "limitations"). But as usual it's a matter of taste. And of course it depends on the specific model and what's the actual "goal" that you want to achieve with it. The fact alone that nowadays you can come close to a totally "pro" sounding result by using freeware plug-ins only is amazing. Some of them are clones of the original machines from the past. In so far your question as such is kind of "obsolete". Older gear can be very inspiring at times (even the more limited machines). Some older budget synths have an unfriendly user interface which might interrupt your workflow. In some cases software editors or external controllers might help. But keep in mind that MIDI was first brought to the market in 1982. Checking out some videos of older gear here on CZcams is the way to go (and it seems like that's what you already do). Try to find some cheap synthesizers, sound modules, samplers or workstations (or even one or two nice portable keyboards!) on the second-hand market and use them in combination. Try to find one or two multi-effects processors and add them to the mix (some effects pedals for electric guitars might do the job as well). The rest depends on your talent as a keyboard player or composer. Don't spend too much money. For most scenarios it's unnecessary. Your profile pic shows a Casio CZ synthesizer. Those PD synths (PD = phase distortion) definitely had character and were quite flexible.

Uma das modificações que fiz no D-5, foi colocar um nanoverb nele, assim tenho reverb e efeito rotary com controle de velocidade! Gosto muito do meu D5, uma pena ele esta parado, preciso de uma régua de contatos das teclas, a dele esta ruim, se souber de alguém que tenha, me avise! Obg

Na minha particular opinião em 1988 o Roland D10 já deixava o YAMAHA DX7 II no chinelo. Digo isso referente a vasta variedades de timbres pré-fabricados.
