Maintaining the consistent quality of your coffee relies on regularly cleaning the machine and the conical burrs to prevent the accumulation of coffee oils, residues, and contaminants that can impact your brew's taste and flavor. Follow our step-by-step guide to ensure your coffee grinder continues to deliver great-tasting coffee.
Instructions on cleaning the conical burrs of your machine: (00:14)
1. Unlock the hopper by rotating counterclockwise and lifting it up.
2. Hold the hopper over an empty airtight container and turn the dial to release the leftover beans.
3. Align the hopper back in to position and rotate clockwise to lock. Place a container under the grind outlet and run the grinder until it is empty to remove any remaining beans.
4. Remove the hopper and the upper burr by rotating counter clockwise and firmly pulling upwards.
5. Clean the upper burr using the cleaning brush provided.
6. You can also clean the lower burr with this brush, but if you find you can’t reach all areas you can use a vacuum to pick up the rest.
7. Push the upper burr firmly back into position and rotate clockwise to click into place and make sure the arrows align.
8. Place the hopper back into position and lock the hopper by rotating it clockwise.
Instructions on a general clean of your machine: (01:21)
1. If you wanted to do a general clean of your machine, make sure to empty the beans and unplug the machine.
2. Wash the grind container and lid in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Make sure no parts go in the dishwasher.
3. Use a soft damp cl0th to clean the bean hopper and lid.
4. To clean the grinders exterior wipe and polish with a soft damp cloth, making sure to apply the cleaning agent to the cloth first.
5. Finally plug the machine back in and you’re good to continue grinding.
