The Automatic Grinding function is a clever feature of the Smart Grinder Pro where the grinder will automatically stop once it has finished grinding the set amount of coffee beans. Discover how to setup this function with the steps below so that you can take control in the grinding process.
How to use the Automatic Grinding function:
1. To activate automatic grinding press the Start/Pause/Cancel button or push the portafilter in once.
2. The machine will begin grinding and will automatically stop once the parameters on the LCD are met.
3. During an automatic grind you can press the Pause button to stop and adjust the coffee in the portafilter before resuming the grind by pressing Start.
How to program the automatic grinder:
1. You can use the Program function during an automatic grind to streamline when switching between espresso, drip filter and French press.
2. Using the dial, you can program the grind time depending on the number of shots displayed on the LCD.
3. Press and hold the program dial and the machine will beep twice to confirm and depending on what you’re adjusting the ‘Shot of Cup’ amount will be displayed.
4. Only this setting will be programmed, and all other shots or cups will remain unchanged. Remember to repeat this process for each coffee mode.
How to use the Manual Grinding function:
Fancy more control in the grinding process? The Manual Grinding function gives you complete control, simply press the Start/Pause/Cancel button or push the portafilter handle in and keep it there until you have the desired amount of coffee. To stop grinding, release the portafilter handle or the Start/Pause/Cancel button.
