Anyone who has done a track day at VIR knows you're a fool if you DONT have insurance for that day. Even if you're positive you won't bin it, you dont know if the other 25 dudes on course won't send it into your rig.
@@kxpes If you run that $500 shitbox into a new GT3 RS or injure the other driver crashing into their $300 shitbox how you going to pay for their car with no coverage, out of your paycheck? What if you injure yourself w/o insurance or another driver? These are just a couple of the many reasons why you buy track day insurance. That's not even mentioning that most tracks will make you have your car will have to be up to spec for safety reasons before they'll let you even turn a lap, which most $500 shitbox cars won't be able to pass a safety inspection in the first place.
@@Peanutdenver genuinely curious if you have experience. When I raced karts we always signed waivers and it was just racing. You get into a big pile up, you pay for your repairs, doesn't matter who caused it. Not like car insurance on a road where there's liability and all that. Just racing.
I get it thought. If you buy a 200k gt3rs you want something to insure you that you wonât lose 200k in just a few seconds when you crash it. Iâm curious how this type of insurance deals with collisions with other cars (insured or not)
Easy way to figure out the USB thing, unless the manufacturer absolutely hates you, the plug on the PC/charging side will always have the open end down towards the desk for a laptop or to the left on a tower style if you were looking directly at it. Orient your âbrickâ or closed side of the USB to the downward or left side, profit.
Yeah, been to a few sad track days where some wannabe boy racer spun their 911 Turbo into the wall... While on the track I was catching up to them in a Civic Si. lol
You know, I bought a brand new GR86 last year(Neptune Blue). I felt pretty dumb taking a new car to the track, but luckily the track insurance was only about $250. Guess thatâs a benefit of a $30k sports car.
And this is just another reason why racing will never leave the streets.. but good luck telling the police officer about the actual costs of track insurance.
In the case of 4x4, in my country at least, it's not even worth it, no matter what happens they're going to push to discard the car and pay you around 1000 euros, and they keep the car, so only by selling the rests to a scrapyard they're making money.
Heâs gotta point cheap shit boxes over high end sport cars and cheap cars are always fun
You need space and time though. A lot of us are stuck with one or two cars.
YessirâŠ. That was my switch up too. Used to desire exotic carsâŠ. Then I realized Iâd rather just have a few modified sh!t boxes lmao đ
Shit boxes are fun cause you realise you can do whatever the fuck you want and not deal with the costs afterwards
@@KevinChinn88shitboxes are underrated. The exterior falling apart but under the hood is where the money gets spent.

VIR is one of my home tracks! love it....did kiss the wall once
So what is an issue? If insurance covers car, and you bought 500$ shitbox who cares if it will get smashed?

i found out the hard way about "track day insurance" found out it would be cheaper to fix out of pocket
As if track days werent expensive enough for regular people. đđđ
The amount of crashes Iâve seen at Canada corner is ridiculous
So it isn't just me! I bin it there all the time in sims so at least I have brethren in the real world đ

Alex, did the carousel at Road America get you? đ
This is why you drive a shitbox on a race, if it break you replace the body part and continue to race and not spend 20k on a side fender
Learn to weld, build a indycar frame
Slap a motorcycle engine in it
Go race
Unnnnfff that starion tho
Are we just gunna ignore the fully built Mitsubishi starion? That thing is crazy
the dark one?? I canât fully make it out
the gridlife speedhunters conquest tsi is sick
"Why don't you guys just keep it on the tracks?!"
The tracks in question:
Hell yes. Conquest getting screen time is what I like to see

My Buick Lesabre is worth 252$, so, that's about 2 bucks and fifty cents in insurance?
Track insurance is only worth it if your vehicle is over $200k any less then that and itâs better to pay outta pocket

So you basically pay the track officials for your car and when you crash they pay you back your own money đ
Basically a more understandable version of regular full coverage car insurance
It always fun to drive slow car fast
Ok but in America wouldnât this be a must have, if you injure yourself or another person itâll cost many thousands in the states without insurance
Mmkay. And now talk about the fine print on what they will and won't cover.
you should only track your actual nice-ass car if youâre gonna be recording it on camera, and/or if they pay you to bring the car!!!
Iâll pass

What is that red car? Is it a rx7?
