There are a number of practical recommendations for patients considering antibiotics. Learn the importance of working closely with your healthcare provider to tailor your approach based on your specific needs and preferences.
We begin by addressing a common concern: antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Discover why this symptom serves as a warning sign and explore effective therapies to restore and maintain your gut health.
Probiotics take centre stage as we debunk misconceptions about their compatibility with antibiotics. Probiotics have the ability to reduce the incidence and severity of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Even if you don't experience digestive issues, I strongly recommend incorporating probiotics to my patients taking antibiotics that suit their tolerance level for overall gut support.
Probiotics can enhance your immune function, heal your gut lining, and combat unfriendly bacteria and fungal overgrowths in the gut. These tiny allies play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy gut ecosystem.
Prebiotics also take the spotlight as indispensable allies for gut health with their ability to selectively nourish beneficial bacteria and finally butyrate, a game-changing short-chain fatty acid. Butyrate is vital for your gut's well-being, from fuelling the cells lining your large bowel to maintaining an acidic environment that discourages unfriendly bacteria.

Really good, clear info, as always. Thanks for all the effort you put in to these videos - they're really informative and you maintain a nice balance between including detail and some technical explanations while remaining easy to understand.

I truly wish there was someone in the Raleigh, NC area that was knowledgeable in this. I have been battling this alone for nearly a year, without relief. When tested my methane went from 3ppm at 0 min to 189ppm at 100 mins. The only person within an hour of me charges nearly $8,000.00 pre-payment without any additional testing or products. This is why I stay sick. I appreciate you and consider your patients very blessed. Thank you.

Way cheaper to fly to Australia! No tipping required either. 😂 But in all seriousness, as someone who is going through similar and thankfully does live in Australia, I hope you can access treatment that does get you well again.

A well-versed Canadisn one would help too. When is Todd's clinic going to have whatever is necessary to take online patients? Is it prohibited by law or otherwise just too risky?

Normally not for internal use but its very healing if taken very little like microdosing it.

For better or worse, I resorted (unsuccessfully) to neomycin for a typical ongoing SBO nightmare that triggered autoimmune. I respect all my current healthcare provider is doing, including my taking ProButyrate supplementation. Keen to hear a video on your thoughts of the NZ based Akkermansia muciniphila supplement in case you take requests.
As an Aussie, it’s so nice to hear you say “guar gum” compared to our typical “goo ar” accent. Thanks for another great video.

I personally took the Pendulum Akkermansia for 4 months then did a retest with GI Map and truly it did not do anything. My results came back the same as before and my Akkermansia level did not raise at all. It also cost a lot, so absolute waste of money
