In this video I walk you through how to make compact powder / foundation powder at home with all natural ingredients that are available in our fridge or grocery stores. As these are edible ingredients, they are safe to use on the skin as well.
Plus you can use this DIY cosmetics recipe, to make endless number of shades with using combinations of just 4 ingredients and gift these home made, all natural compact powders to your family and friends. From a light skin tone to medium skin tone, from dusky skin tone to a very dark skin tone, this one foundation recipe covers it all. Welcome to the world of clean beauty.
For this makeup hack we use arrowroot powder/ cornstarch, cocoa powder, red sandalwood powder or beetroot powder, and some activated charcoal. And combines them in different proportions to gain the desired shade.
MAC, lakme, maybelline fit me, nykaa, Loreal, you name it. By trying different proportions and ratios of ingredients, it is possible to match the shades of the big cosmetic brands.
Use the compact powders later to make foundations for yourself.
If you have dry skin, add 1-2 drops of rose essential oil to the face powders.
    Have fun!

How long do these last with shelf life? Do you need to add water to get more coverage? Or can it simply be used as an actual powder foundation on it's own with at least medium coverage? Thank you. I really want to learn how to do this someday.
