I have over 25 years of practical work experience, mostly studying retail gasoline properties that have discharged all kinds of petroleum products into the subsurface for one reason or another. I have worked in many diverse geomorphical areas throughout the northeastern U.S. I still have A LOT to learn! I have listened to Randall Carlson speak several times. Sometimes with open minded people like Joe and Graham, other times with sceptics who tend to be arrogant, dismissive and very defensive of their beliefs. Often, they do not present their theories and ideas with anywhere near the elegance, class, humility, and clarity of Mr. Carlson. I am baffled that his theories on the scabland floods are not accepted by more academics? I have never heard anyone present evidence that debunks his theories with any real conviction? Keep at it Randall, you are a special person and a rare breath of fresh air in the stench of stale academia.
No one has time to rebut over generic ramblings on podcasts. He rants on about people saying “climate change denier”, but who really cares about that label? He needs to make a real claim and present the evidence in a compact and explicit form, you know, a paper. Prepare a paper and submit it for review. Become a scientist instead of a podcaster. Frankly, he doesn’t because he is floating about charging windmills and fighting straw men.
I could listen to Randall for ever. What a dedicated, legendary man to his field. In years to come, maybe long after Randall and the rest of us are gone, he will be remembered as the guy who was right.

Sending out love and positivity to everyone ✌🏼❤️🙏 Thank you Joe for staying with this podcast! You are something special to a lot of people ❤ every episode, every guest, is just awesome! 🙌🫨🫶
This is literally awesome. Joe, a guy who has built his career in mma, holds one of the best interviews with a historian I have ever seen. So so engaging.
My favorite thing about listening to Carlson is how he doesn't waste one single syllable. He can talk for 3 hours and still he has so much left unsaid. And you can really feel the entire time he is so desperate to just get the information out there because it's really important.
It's free because he'd have a hard time finding anybody to pay for it. The whole Younger Dryas Impact theory is unsubstantiated (not to say it isn't true) and inconsistent with global evidence, and some of the later stuff he gets into is just flat out silly (everything after he picks up the calculator.)
It’s so beautiful watching and listening to such an engaging and interesting discussion between two guys from completely different backgrounds. Joe’s guests bring such fascinating topics that bring us all together ❤️
Joe doesn’t lay traps for his guests. He doesn’t proceed with a list of “gotcha”questions meant to embarrass and discredit his guests. He doesn’t constantly interrupt his guests in the middle of their explanations, or right when they’re about to make a point. He’ll disagree, but never dismiss or attack. He listens to understand, not to respond. He lets his guests talk, instead of dominating the interview with his own opinions or positions. This is why he’s becoming one of the most followed interviewers. People like Cathy Newman need to get the memo.
who's Cathy Newman? Or have I made your point? And YES Joe is an excellent interviewer ~ even when he is excited and eager to jump in he knows how to insert himself into dialogue seamlessly
I read a book once, blew my fckng mind about ancient historical archeological sites. Im not sure who was the author but its was same as listening to this podcast, just reading till you fall asleep. Crazy shit.
I love it! Unfortunately no one hears this man. We hear the government cumming their pants about how we are going to destroy the planet in 20 years. I remember seeing movies in elementary school about climate change and our teachers talking about the world would be very different by 2020.....
@Andy L you obviously haven't watched all of these podcasts......and if you have, your liberal ears aren't listening. The problem is, to many people are focusing on "co2" and not enough on the bigger picture. Pay attention to real research, instead of being a sheep and worshipping al gore
Probably because everything Graham and Randall say has been massively debunked, Grahams Amazon show is nothing but made up fairy tales, I got sucked in by both of them, until I did my homework, nothing they say adds up unfortunately, they both twist the truth to make us think there is this big conspiracy, it all sounds good, and so believable, but so easily debunked
Totally get you, I’m in the same boat. Frustrating as hell. If only we could all go to a pub and have a drink and a chat about all this kind of stuff ⭐️

I just info-dumped two of these Carlson podcasts in a row and I feel like I just woke up from the matrix or something! Whew! I need to go play outside for awhile or something.
Wish Joe had more guests like him on. Recently it's been nothin but comedians and that's nice and all but it's not even comparable in entertainment value to the intellectual guests.
Yeah although I like to see a variation in the type of guests he has on, there have been too many comedians. There are good topics they discuss, but too much of it is about the life of a comedian. It gets repetitive.
Wow, I just sat through 3 hours of this. I was mesmerized with Randall Carlson's knowledge and with Joe allowing him to talk. I wish I had a school teacher like you Mr. Carlson, I may have gone in a different direction with my life.
As far as I can tell, people are watching this. And I say as far as I can tell because Mark Zuckerberg is a lizard(just kidding though, he's just super awkward)
Yo, Degrasse Tyson and Randall Carlson discussing the details of the asteroid together would be no doubt hugely beneficial and interesting for those two aswell as Joe and all of us!
We'll see, won't we dude :) It's an old video but if Joe or his fellow freak-bitches sees this - they could well be interested and arrange it! I choose to be an optimist despite going through a lot of traumatic events in life thus far. There is still too much intrigue and too much beauty in the world for me to be pessimistic... @Nick Nack Up to the younger dryas boundary there are artifacts from the Clovis people in North America.above the YDB there has yet to be found a single artifact of the Clovis culture. All of the artifacts of the Clovis culture are pre 13000 years ago. Nice try with that straw man, The Clovis culture were hunter gatherers and didn't use pottery or create infrastructure.
@Nick Nack No you used it as a deliberate straw man. The oldest settlements in the world are in Syria and Turkey dating back at least 13000 years. The massive ice sheets covering the North american continent from Alaska down to the US prevented any more advanced civilisations from entering the America's. The Clovis peoples were already in North America and like later civilisations that made it to the continent they never advanced enough to construct anything unlike those found in the middle east. Like Gobekli Tepe in Turkey which was deliberately buried at the end of the last ice age.

@J. Milton Jeffreys Not innovative? every podcast out there is following his footsteps. And what he's done with it has been nothing short of history. He's bringing the Truth to the masses, during times of lies, corruption and greed.
"And what's a mile? 35,000 feet?" God damnit Joe.
1 mile is 35,000 of Joe rogans feet
Good ol Joe " a mile is 35,000 ft" Rogan
He must think his dick is 2 feet long
Maybe he is learning the metric system like the rest of the world, and forgot all about the retarded imperial system.
Dusan Acimovic. +1 I mean listen to whats being said..
Long live Mr.Carlson, a scholars scholar
I often wonder how many times I've watched this episode 😂
Who is here in 2019 for an update?
Bring Shermer on the podcast.
@@starman8225 Shermer got destroyed last time by Randall that douche has no chance.
I had no clue this was from 2015 til I saw your comment.
Joe's aged in 4 years
Shermer 100% Government Shill after re watching this Hancock/Carlson series a 2nd time. IMO.
We need a graham and Carlson again for 2023
You didn't get the memo hahaha there all in there bonkers buddy
Hello from 2023
@@Nicole-dj3jf what?
Morgan Freeman voice from Shawshank redemption. "Eight years. Jesus when you say it like that....". I can't believe this podcast is 8 years old. This needs to have been turned into an episode of Nova already.
The vast quantity, (along with the quality), of information
,that Randall carries around in his head is just amazing! I could listen to him and just lose track of time and place! It's kinda like stepping into another dimension.
this guy is slinging FACTS and SLIDES like an absolute GANGSTER
the thing is though ...hes slinging facts and slides like you say according to who? just because someone says something is a fact does not make it a fact just because someone made a slide does not make it a real unbiased study from a accredited organization ..I am willing to bet if his "facts" where went over they would not hold water...
In the most basic sense, a scientific fact is an objective and verifiable observation, in contrast with a hypothesis or theory, which is intended to explain or interpret facts
@@BigShotsEric he was slinging scientific facts though. Evidence he has found and others have found.
You're just mad that it doesn't fit your narrative.
@@heyllo1337 yea it is always others ..those guys...a bunch etc its always some group of people but never any names...he sounds like he wants things to be true to much to trust and you need more then 1 source so where are these other people ..where is other peoples evidence..and I do not have a agenda other then the fact that after listening to this program I notice he says the same things you just did all these facts and charts etc but its all just according to him when you look it up alot of things he presents like its scientific fact when its not its fringe..and I have no horse in this race

Can somebody get a message to Joe Rogan? Joe, please, for the love of all that is good, keep getting more guest like Randal Carlson, Graham Hancock, and Dr. Amit Goswami. The stuff with the MMA fighters is cool, and I love hearing from Dr. Rhoda Patric once in a while, I'm even an avid hunter so the meat eater gang is cool too, but the science and ancient history is just too fcuking cool for words! Thanks to Joe and his podcast I consider myself to be a much more educated man on a number of subjects. His podcast has inspired me do my own research, read some books and articles, and investigate things I never had any interest in. That's a powerful thing! He's really making a difference with this podcast. Keep up the good work Joe!
+Todd Liggett Bring on Brien Foerster. He's got a channel on youtube all about megalithic sites, especially those in Peru. The stones down there in Peru pretty much speak for themselves but it's nice to hear about them from someone with so much experience on the ground.
I agree 100% and the Randall Carlson interview was so mind blowing.
I’m with you Joe needs more guests like Mr Carlson.
Try sending Joe a message on Twitter or try calling in during one of his podcasts if U can.
Like U I’m a huge MMA fan after this interview I want more.
Good luck.
Right there with you
fast forward 2 years later and Joe is a shill with no balls
What are you guys talking about? What is he shilling for?
These episodes with these guys, thank you Joe!
I absolutely love listening to this guy talk about his work, thoughts stories.
I find Randall to be so endearing and could genuinely listen to him for hours and hours.
Fictional story tellers are often endearing.

Seriously, when is Randall coming back?!
I think he's dead
@@Flexible_photon he is not 🤣
He has a podcast!
Great point. We need Randall back soon.
Id watch for sure, but my only concern is that he’d be saying most of the same things he says here. I doubt his stance on anything has changed since, and I guarantee if he had any new compelling information, Joe would have already tried getting him back in the studio (with Hancock as well, i’d imagine).
But like I said, when (not if) he’s invited back on the show, I’m listening whether he has new info or not.
This episode still slaps.
October 1st of 2023 and still watching and falling asleep to this episode
blessed to have been alive in a time where great minds can speak to the common man. thanks joe
"great minds" 🙄

@@davesomeone4059 yeah, those are the only two choices.
@@RuminatingWizard You are truly ignorant if you do not believe that a single "great mind" has ever spoken on Joe Rogans podcast. I genuinely feel bad for you if you cannot expand your mind through the amazing communication technology that Joe has led the charge on.
