Usually you charge them with the obvious (IE the pos committed a violent act) first, and then amend the charges to include that if there’s sufficient evidence. I really thought I read this incorrectly but also knew I didn't. I keep hoping the current state we are in is just in my mind but I know its not and its sad.
My heart breaks for the little one who lost their life this way and mom recovering. How such an innocent trip could turn so deadly is unbelievable. I know evil is walking around me daily but still never thinking about society being this lawless. Its heartbreaking to see the conditions of the country and glad I have never wanted to contribute to it. My parents were proud people, limited means, hood raised and still there, no victim, no white people bothering my black a$$ and no reason to hate them or men, but we all loved the blessings we once had. And it hurts seeing it leave more and more each day. I'm not highly educated especially politically. But I know enough to know we will regret not protecting the freedoms we have. People should understand that there are good and evil people of all creeds and colors and ethnic backrounds. If you want to get technical, well, most of the school shooters or other public shooters were white. This should not be a race thing at all! But Americans today are quick to anger with their knee jerk reactions. They don't think critically anymore, so they choose hate and anger. That is one of the major tragedies of our time!

thank god we have all these super-sleuths in the comments who have already assessed the situation and come to the well thought out and airtight conclusion that this was a hate crime based entirely on a single picture of the suspect. no need to investigate any further, no need to check security cameras or interview witnesses for evidence of an argument or altercation, no need for police or detectives to follow up with any interviews of the suspect for motive or state of mind; a single photo of the suspect is enough to decide the whole thing. case closed, congratulations, comment section! definitely a hate crime because one person involved has a certain color of skin.
