- A 39-year-old suspect hijacked a bus after allegedly killing a bus passenger, according police. The deadly ordeal started in downtown Atlanta. Cops say the hijacker forced the driver to drive through the city and then onto Highway I-85. The ride came to an end when the bus was rammed by a tank-like bearcat SWAT vehicle. Joseph Grier was taken into custody. The other passengers were not physically harmed. The 39-year-old suspect will be charged with murder, among other offenses, according to authorities.
Nineteen prior felonies? Why was this guy walking the streets?

Same situation up here in Canada when some criminal does something really bad. They pull out the prior's and everyone's shocked why the person was on the streets in the first place.

His last arrest was 2011. This was the result of a manic episode, possibly psychosis. Luckily our justice system takes that into account rather than the court of public opinion, because you sure as hell don't know what you're talking about. The truth will be revealed in a court of law and justice will prevail.
This is one of the many, many reasons why we have such an atrocious justice system.

I work as an EMT in Atlanta, I was enroute to that call, hearing the reports being made over the radio, a gunshot victim in cardiac arrest was the saddest thing I’ve heard.
