Love the z man baits especially the chatter baits when fish are aggressive. It was interesting seeing how their salt water mullets stacked up against the Salt Strong lures

John, do you really not consider yourself a Florida fisherman?! I’m subscribed to many native Florida fisherman CZcamsr’s, and I would have to say you are one of the best Florida fisherman I watch. I will most likely miss the season here in Florida due to some health issues… my plan is to rewatch every fishing video you have made to increase my knowledge of fishing. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I really appreciate the good things you wrote about my Florida fishing skills! I actually said Jose was a "real Floridian, not like me". At this point I consider myself a pretty solid Florida shallow water fisherman, but I'm only in Florida around half the year and didn't grow up there so I'm definitely not a "Floridian". Skinner, I watch all your vids, and it seems EVERY time you land a fish you struggle with where to put your rod. PLEASE install a few more rod holders in your gunwales. I'm jealous of your weather. Great video.

I'll use a Z-Man paddle tail for reds and sometimes I will catch over 50 a day here in Virginia and they will last multiple trips. Don't see the point to use anything else

So would you say the fishing is quite a bit different or better fishing one end of Pine Island or the other? It sounded like that what your were saying with the reds not being out on The open flats as much.
An experienced local who fishes the upper part of the island commented on that. He said it's an effect of Ian covering up a lot of the grass and that he fishes that upper part and experienced the same thing I did on the south end with the fish all being tight to the mangroves. I switched my fishing from the north to the south end of the island right after Ian because I got my boat all set up on my dock, whereas before I was mostly fishing from my kayak at Pineland and Bokeelia. My observation was that it was easier to catch away from the mangroves up north, but really it was a storm impact.

Just keep them in their original packaging and you won’t have any problems. The ones in clamshell packaging particularly should stay in the package anyway.
