- Some ideas for those looking for a more procedural, instrument or training setup. Using flightsim as an aid or wishing to follow flows more accurately. Note the bundle with the Pro bracket includes the Knobster (sorry forgot to mention that in the video!).

😮 Should have mentioned in the video that the Pro bundle with monitor from CockpitCrafters includes the Knobster.
I love my air manager and siminnovations. I have three touch screens and can setup my cockpit just like a g1000/g3000/g5000 and any types of instruments in between including the TDS 750. I bought some metal and plywood and created a foe cockpit and its amazing how realistic you can get with these panels.
Have almost finished my CPL ME/IR and I’ve been able to faithfully practice each training flight before it happens and then fly it again afterwards. A decent flight sim setup is hugely advantageous to the budding RW pilot.
The best option imho for those on a budget is to talk nicely to your partner to see if they will serve in flight refreshments wearing a uniform of their choice 😅
I think i suggested that to my wife.
Her answer:
“Sorry, no frills.” 😳
I get food delivery, I try for hot towel next time.
@@jamesleicher Good thinking to advance incrementally.
“Progress as a pilot.”
Good ADM. 👍
It’s funny - this reminds me of why Linux took off vs Windows. People just needed to customize in ways that MSFS did not (but probably should’ve) easily enabled.
Another option for the student. I like it!
Hey Mark! That was exactly the solution I thought about a few weeks ago. Thank you for describing and showing it, so well detailed as usual 👌🏻 and it works perfectly fine.
Glad it was helpful! 👍
Great video as always. I've been using a couple of non-touch screen monitors with SPAD.next diving a logitech radio panel to control the G1000 and its all mouse free, but a touchscreen would be very nice for use with G3000/5000 and GTN750, si it was nice to see your recommendation for a small touch screen monitor - so far all I'd been able to find were ones designed for professional use and were much more expensive.
Interesting project and seems perfect for student pilots.
Splendid video Thank You
Hey Mark!
Thank's for your videos; I'm Hubert from France and I follow all of them!
Can you please give us the link of your screen, or the references, or is it from SimCrafters?
I think that it is the solution I'm looking for!
Regards, H.W.
Love the shirt.
I bought one, and what you need to mention is that certainly for the UK, you have to pay import tax from Germany. Just received a letter from Parcelforce who are holding the package asking for a whopping £95.77. No way way would I have bought this if I had known how much it would be.
Can you show GA steam gauges in simbox like airmanager?
Hello. Thank you for your great Videos again. Im a G2 user. PC- 4090, 7950X3D, corsair 6000 CL30 64 GB. Im only use Flightsims. What VR Headset you would buy? Or wait for next upcoming HD`s?. Thank you very much.
Depends on budget. Best visuals- Pimax Crystal, best bang for buck - Pico4 or Quest 3.
Is it possible to set up multiple knobsters for AirManager?
I believe you can, but not 100% sure. Have in the past seen setups with Knobster a and b.
Can this be done on a desktop which does not have a USB c port? Also, my desktop has no expansion slots available to add a USB port card to the computer.
Use a powered hub, problem solved?
Mark, how did you get simbox running on the touchscreen monitor? Any reference I could find goes on about a iPad or other device.
Simply run SimBox on your pc.
@@SimHangerFS Thank you mark
Lol nice t shirt which aptly says "old guys rule"
😀
The only problem is with that setup on the Alpha, it would block my Tobii eye tracker. Other wise I like it.
You could probably mount the Tobii Tracker on the Display or use the smartphone holder.
@@m_kuhlmann Not about to use a phone after paying over 200.00 fora Tobii 😬
how do you like the Tobii eye tracker? I thought about buying it instead of VR.
You could easily use the Tobii with the new Tobii software designed for use with the new tripod bracket (video on my channel). You could also mount it on top of the secondary monitor.
@@mike605 I like it, replaced the Track IR and it works much better.
€149 for a bit of steel plate with a few hole, seam way over priced 😮
Hi Chris, it may seem like that though keep in mind that the price includes German sales tax (19%) and free shipping to most countries. The companies that produce their products (along the value chain milling and bending, coating, shipping/fulfillment) are local, family owned, companies within a vicinity of no more than 50km from their HQ. Include development costs and other overhead costs as well as the costs for fulfillment (packaging/etsy fees, marketing etc. then the margin is still very low…
And expensive and to no use !
If you were doing your PPL you might have a different opinion?
