  • Shova Khatri is a farmer and entrepreneur from Surkhet, Nepal. After receiving training for USAID’s Feed the Future, she started producing and selling more vegetables, tripling her income. That benefited her community as well. Shova shared what she learned on farming and marketing techniques with other women in the village who as a result have also increased their incomes. With better income, the women can buy more nutritious food for their families and send their children to school. USAID's holistic approach for sustainable progress has benefited Shova, as well as the village as a whole on their development journey.

USAID sponsors an international company, JSI, whose employees use psychological torture to get fired, through insults, humiliation and false accusations that they cannot prove. And JSI management supports such employees and ignores complaints. USAID also ignored the complaint and did not answer anything along with JSI. Are these the values of USAID and JSI? Isn't the USA a country where all human rights and freedoms are respected? It saddens me very much that honest taxpayers' money is being spent on such human rights violations. Gita Pillai the US citizen is a real criminal and has absolutely no knowledge of her job. But in spite of this she has the right to fire those who complain about her wrongdoing. After all, she is an American citizen. U.S. citizens, according to JSI, are above the rest of the monkeys who live outside the U.S. That's the only way I understand it. In today's world where there is no place for discrimination on the basis of nationality and pregnancy, this is simply outrageous. And it's a shame to get away with it. But you have to answer for everything sooner or later. There will definitely be punishment. For such a thing, at least, they burn in hell.
