    Lovett was such a difference maker at FSU last year...shocking that he went undrafted. The Chiefs are fortunate to have him.

    Only real interesting thing I’ve heard so far is Jaden Hick playing free safety. A guy more so projected as a box guy. Probably just seeing what they have

    • @ryanwhite9437
      @ryanwhite9437 Před 20 dny +1

      Yea that made me perk my ears up when I heard that too... Seems odd 🤷 maybe they want insurance if Bryan Cook doesn't recover the way we're hoping?? Or maybe they want him to know both roles, for when he takes over for Justin Reid next year?? Who knows. But I trust Spags and their DBacks coach Dave Merritt

    • @KCChiefsDigest
      @KCChiefsDigest  Před 20 dny +2

      Based on what I’ve seen the past two days, I’m comfortable saying the Chiefs will use him in multiple roles this year. My impression and understanding is that Spagnuolo wants him playing more free safety now to get him experience since that’s the position where he has played the least. There will also be more opportunities this season at free safety since Justin Reid will rarely come off the field while Bryan Cook may get worked back in slowly coming off the ankle injury.

    Is the rugby guy just a fast RB/KR/Gadget player or does he have upside to play some receiver? In the clips they’ve shown of him running routes he looks extremely unpolished.

    • @kev792
      @kev792 Před 19 dny +1

      Yea he’s not going to be a wr. Most likely he’s gonna be a return specialist or an RB.

      A guy whose never played before looks unpolished, wow, great analysis

    • @Kyle36147
      @Kyle36147 Před 19 dny

      @@jamesm9995 they listed him as WR/RB when he was signed. From the few clips we have of him he doesn’t look like he can play WR in the league which is understandable. The question is more to gage what Matt and Nick saw. Did he improve in that area in the last few months? Did they work him in at WR at all? Or are they sticking him at the other spots and mainly using him as a gadget guy KR guy.
      I didn’t try to bring earth shattering analysis. Was just trying to gage what they’re doing with him vs what they said he was when they signed him….

    • @jamesm9995
      @jamesm9995 Před 19 dny +2

      @@Kyle36147 he’s a world class athlete, what makes you think he can’t play WR, I think you’re overestimating the skill set needed and underestimating LRZ. Just my opinion

    • @Kyle36147
      @Kyle36147 Před 19 dny

      @@jamesm9995 Plenty of fast world class athletes couldn’t step into the NFL and play WR. There is a lot of nuance that he appeared to be lacking. Was wondering if that was still the case or if he made improvements and if it appears that’s even on the table for him through this point of the process. Nothing wrong with him being the gadget guy or a RB or just the KR. Was just curious where people watching thought he was at considering the designation he was given.

    I can already tell the Louis Zammit discourse will be terrible all year. Over under 1.5 offensive snaps? He will be a special teams gunner. If he’s the kickoff returner we’re in trouble.

      I've played 🏉, and Rugby is alot harder than football, Louis is gonna have a hey day if he catches any laterals, as well any returns, plus he well do well cause in Rugby you don't wear any pads at all. He will be able to take hits like no other!!!

    • @jackiemoon5906
      @jackiemoon5906 Před 19 dny

      @@jackson5781 not an easy transition. Also rugby is way less complex and the kelces say they hear getting tackled in rugby doesn’t hurt half as much.

    • @scollyb
      @scollyb Před 19 dny

      @jackiemoon5906 as an overall game football might be more complex but for individual players it's not even close. Not only Rugby players effectively play attack and defence they have to change from one to the other in a split second. No one tells them what to do, they have to work it out for themselves. That's before the technicalities of rucks and scrums
      But yes football probably hits harder, but Rugby gets hit more often
      Transferring is hard because Rugby is a generalist sport and football a specialist. It's like a decathlete competing in single events
