Hello you two, a very happy holiday time of year to you both. We have been recovering our copper from motors and such for many years and have to do something, this smelting looks to be a fun outdoor exercise for us here. Need to buy a smelter someday. We have our two aluminum hammers you gifted us, and we are looking to machine on them in the coming year customizing them for a fun project. Yes, it is worth it from our point of view, of course we see you having fun doing the smelting pouring and sharing it with us all. Thank you and take care. Our copper looks like the nest you have near the end of your video. Those copper ingots look neat in those colors. Lance & Patrick.

Hey Patrick and Lance, thank you and smart thinking saving your copper etc..
We have missed you guys, glad you are in good spirits for the holidays!
Well being neighbors, you all should just stop by while you are out and about, lol.
Always good to hear from you all blessings to you both and your families.

Hi, found you in my feed with the 410 slug video. I cast lead for a hobby. Was wondering, since the lead collects in a way to the bottom because it's the heaviest in the ingot. Could you take a propane torch to melt it off in a way? it's only 650-ish or more to get it to flow. I use one when the pour nozzle on my furnace gets clogged. Works like a charm for me to get it flowing again. Great video BTW, we used to cast aluminum in junior high school metal shop class. Made skulls and Cobra jet snakes (from an actual emblem as the mold) among other things. Good stuff

Definitely, I also got the casting bug in junior high!
Thank you for your time and comment. Happy casting!
Blessings to you and your family.
