I hate it when that random light pole, tree, fire hydrant or any of those random come out of no where objects cause a OOOPS moment! I like how ya did the double snatch block. I will have to remember that. I usually just use one to the corner of the bed, but this gives ya great options and plenty of pull! Great Recovery!
Mr Casey I usually just use 1 snatch block but my driver had cable clamps on his wire rope which cut down the working load limit. Thanks for watching and stay safe

Those bottom 2 cables are COMM lines, not a lot to worry about. The Power was still connected to the hanging Broken pole.

Now, that was a mess, hopefully, the driver wasn't too badly injured even though he walked out of that wreck. Injuries can take a few hours to become really known.
I could say BTDT but that was while I was in the military about 60 years ago, while aboard the USNS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I did it on a road grader coming down a 356' high hill with the blade tilted inward 1 degree. That was done so that vehicles using the "hill" wouldn't slide off as the grader did. Yes, I leaped off of the machine just as it was going over the edge. Cuts, scrapes, and scratches from the coral rock that made up the hill all happened, and I walked away from the wreck. But for the next few days, it was found I'd broken a portion of my left leg. in the thigh area. I never felt it at first. but then it started showing its ugly head and I couldn't walk. I do not like working in an office, I felt cramped but it was hard to do anything when the cast went from my big toe on the left leg to my chest and down to just below the right knee. I was told I was lucky I didn't break my neck jumping off of that machine. But when I saw where I had been sitting, it was non-existent, I was glad I'd leaped away.
