all the cards that are “boring” are SUPER playable and will be expensive for a while! the squackability charizard etc are super playable
Gardevoir is one of my favorites i would love to pull her. That mew is awesome too.
There are only 2 to 3 interesting cards for my collection. I can‘t understand the hype but this set, like every holiday set will raise in price.
I really like MEW, Charizard, and Gardevoir, I am going to pick up a box or 2 when it drops for sure. After that I will just buy singles for the rest.

I genuinely love ALL of these SIRs I really want all of them, especially Gardevoir, Charizard and Palafin!
Definitely agree with you Jake that the gardevoir and mew SIR are the ones to go after. Especially love the gardevoir myself.
what i dont understand is why they keep repeating shinies for these sets. some of the baby shinies were also in hidden fates. i can understand charizard and mew but there SO many fan favorites that still havent gotten shiny cards yet scyther, voltorb and others get repeats? i dont understand their thought process
Both shiny scyther and voltorb (and their evolutions) are in these sets tho

Not a Charizard-collector but that EX art is crazy good.
The gold rare card color scheme gives a nostalgic feel, I think they rest pleasantly in the eye compared to earlier gold cards.
As a shiny hunter and someone who owns a every Paldean shiny Pokémon, I’m super excited for this set. Hoping to pull shiny Scovillain!

I like the new Gold cards. I think they could have been better but still way better than any older gold cards, with the exception of the gold art rares from Vstar Universe.

I totally agree with you about the SAR. The gardevoir and mew one just look nicer. I even like the pawmi AR more. The colors and artwork of these cards are just nicer and the Pokémon are just more noticable.

Hey Jake, do you know the best place to order a Japanese booster box for these? I'm new to collecting and want to get started with this set.
The Gard and Mew definitely outclass the zard. The crown just makes zard look goofy. Pokemon has yet to top the shiny zard from Hidden Fates.
I never chase the Charizards cause I always look for my favourites. However, every big lizard is well received if I can trade them for any of the cards I'm missing in my collection
Squawkabilly is a staple for many meta decks, and I think the Pokémon is cute. I think it’s one of the Paldean favorites.
If u want way more consistent pulls, pull Japanese, then buy English singles. Lesson learned from 151

I normally don't think the gold cards look very good, but these ones I actually quite like. I see why other's wouldn't agree, but I think that choice of colouring looks awesome!
Pokémon Center ETBs are already sold out. Honestly wasn’t thinking that would happen until closer to English release date.

Def a beautiful charizard. It has the OBF style which will make some people scoff, but the artwork is phenomenal IMO.

The gold cards are a massive improvement on the Sun and Moon rainbow era imo.
I'm not a huge Charizard fan, but I do collect Akira Egawa cards so I'll be needing the Charizard after all. I do prefer the one from OF though.

Shiny Pokémon coloring on the Gold rears that’s why they look weird I’m not sure what’s confusing about it though
The size of this set makes me not want to bother opening it, I'll just do singles for it after 5-6 months
Its just weird man, it would be mid without ar/sar but they pretty much robbed all value from the full art shinys. Why is there so many baby shinys and only 3 ir and sar pokemon? Whats with the goofy pokeballs in the trainer cards? Theres like a handful that i like but it just seems strange how its put together
I don't like the gold design but I think they have a plan with those as well. Just can't put my finger on it
the Iono SAR is the best card in the set by far imo, then that Mew SAR

That charizard is the best one I have seen in awhile. Surprised it wasn't done for Obsidian Flames, it could have used it lol.
Ehh the crown makes it look to goofy for me. Pokémon has yet to top the Hidden Fates shiny zard.
My thoughts...Charizard looks like trash, If pull I'll sell it. Gold rares just need to go in general, I think the era for it is done. Pokemon should make a 151 Shiny version or do it for Gen 2. That be a seller. 🤔

Meh, I think VStar and 151 will age much better than this one.
I‘m gonna get the etb (because it’s pretty af) and might buy a few singles, other than that not much for me but I am sure the 7yo will disagree with me and talk me into buying a lot more for his collection 😂
There's 3-4 good cards just buy singles in a month or 2 and forget this set xD
Unfortunately I’m waiting for the price of the cards from this set to go down. This set is Huge and do t feel the need to collect the whole set. As for the ‘gold’ cards, I haven’t seen one I. Person yet but I am intrigued by them, I like the color combo, but I’m really looking forward to seeing one in person.
I actually prefer the new gold cards. They old ones feel too much to me, while the new ones are clear and nice.
I completely agree about Gardevoir and Mew over Charizard.
For me, I'm only interested in the Mew and Charizard. Think I will save money pulling packs and just buy them as singles instead. I get shiny fates vibes and that set wasn't good nor did it age particularly well.

They made the wrong charizard imo. If they made the shiny version either full art Zard from 151 then I think the Zard is a smash hit. I get they wanted to do something different. But this is a reprint set. Reprint the best Zard so far which is either one from 151. This set would be so much better if that was the case.
Unfortunately I only see maybe 6 cards I'd want so gonna pass on box's
The gold card sucks. They should learn from crown zenith and have a larger gallery for IR and SIR
It’s not your typical bright gold. I love the shade of gold mixed with jade holographic design. To each their own. 🤷♂️

As someone that collects pokemon from gens 1 and 2 only, I am really getting sick of more Charizard and mew. It’s even worse when it comes to shiny because both mew and Charizard have been done to death.

I’m a huge fan of the black Charizard. I am loving this new art work. Looks ferocious. I despise Gardivore and the Mew is a bit to cartoonish for me.

I don't mind the gold cards actually. I think people in general just don't like gold cards

I think the golden ones are way better than the previous golden-black iteration. I still prefer alt arts though.

This charizard is the catalyst for every other zard to pop in value

These new charizard cards from the scarlet and violet sets just blow. You cant even make out what the hell the card is...let alone what pokemon is in the card. Garbage.
The point is every freakin set gets a charizard because they can make money out of it. Sad. So many Pokémon should get more attention……Seedraking for example or the staters from Gen 2
