I’ll never forget my principal announcing on loudspeaker 📢 “no more ‘POKe-MAN’ allowed at school. Was a huge thing to trade at recess and lunch such good times
Haha nice.
Mum: so what did you learn at school today?
You: 2 wrongs don’t make a right but 3 Magnemite make a Magneton. 😅
Yugioh cards were banned at one point in my school years
Hahaha I remember this in my school as well .
@WR Pokémon / Totodile tales fan oh this was 21 years ago 😅
I remember because I brought it but I wasn’t at school they banned it, that the teacher took my charizard and some other cards and ripped them up and threw them out.
(Not old cards, but still..) 😟
I honestly love buying damaged vintage Pokémon cards. The damaged ones have history and often once meant the world to a kid.
hmu bro i just found a ton lol some might even be psa 4-6 graded
I'm 26 year old now and I just got into collecting pokemon cards. Your videos made me understand it more than I ever did and I'm getting into it more by watching your videos 🙂

Hi
Yo aj what's up
11:43 is when he starts looking at his binders of Pokémon cards.
Thanks
Jesus, thank you. I watch Rev a lot but I have no idea why the first 10 minutes was some Pokemon history lesson.
Thx
Thx
Omg thanks so much
This video is crazy. I am sure for a lot of people, the first ten minutes was word for word my Pokemon journey as a 9/10 year old, especially when going to High School and it no longer being 'cool', unbelievable nostalgia. So grateful for your videos and getting me back into the hobby!
Ya, when he mentioned the rocket and Japanese cards being easier to find, I had a flashback of that reality haha.
Love this! 6 months ago we had a whole heap of boxes dropped off at our house from my in laws - it was all my husbands childhood stuff we didn’t know they had kept haha but found my husbands old 1999 Pokémon collection (in both Japanese & English) in great condition 😱😱
He never played them just placed with them in his folders (soo cute) It’s what got us both back into Pokémon!
What was the value of his collection?
When finding your old collection it really signifies what the purpose of these TCG's are all about, especially for children. Playing with the cards, being able to go out and purchase the cards, not being worried about grading it or selling it for a quick buck. The behaviour of adults this year has been appalling when it comes to Pokemon TCG, and the amount of children who are unable to have this as part of their childhood due to the sheer greed of adults is saddening.
I have had to result to buying of scalpers because the adults are ruining it for everyone
@@drewster6424 dont buy from them bro please just buy a different set
@@Goblingimp ok thanks
yeah once i went to 5 stores and they were all wiped out absolutely nothing
i went to target and there was two brilliant stars etbs and 6 darkness ablaze etbs and i went away for 5 minutes and the brilliant stars etbs were gone and 2 darkness ablaze etbs were gone too.
12:39 Lmao, my brother and I used to have "ninja star" battles and throw the cards at each other.
This is so nostalgic. It doesn't matter if the card are in bad condition, what's important is this prove that you enjoy your childhood with Pokémon card as much as you enjoy it until now
This was amazing to see. All of us kids who collected and actually PLAYED with our cards in the 90s and early 2000s cards are in similar condition. I have some great memories battling with them on the sidewalk in front of my house. No kid was thinking about the potential future value, just having fun.
Man the yugioh cards brought back some memories I didn't know I had! I still have my childhood collection as well, love checking it out and showing my son.
I've seen a lot of people saying how they wish they kept their childhood cards in better shape. I completely disagree ya'll. The beautiful thing about them is how much we loved, traded, and cherished those little pieces of cardboard. :)
Great point
Ya great point
To think me and my friends dug holes in a field and did treasure hunts with our best cards for keeps is insane now that I think about it. Man! 😂
True bro
That’s also why good condition cards are so rare.
This is amazing I wish I still had mine from when I was a kid, as much of the nostalgia there is of how they are set out, if this was me I would reorganise them to they're sets, but definitely would send the charmander off for grading.
16:00 Dude Rev you really hit me in the feels here man I can relate. I actually lived in Japan when Pokémon became a thing so I had everything from gen 1 and 2 that you could ever want. I was so proud of my card collection. One day, years later I moved to South Carolina and my “friends” came over and without me knowing stole everything they could from my binder. The starters, legendaries, everything worth a damn was pocketed and gone. It kills me to this day mainly because I know that they probably didn’t take care of them and are long gone/ destroyed. I love your channel because it’s a great, entertaining nostalgia trip handled by a man who is clearly passionate about all of this. I wish you much luck with the stellar card pulls, bro
@Jerry Animates not nice.. I had what I was most passionate about in my childhood stolen from me and they’re worth a fortune today
Man, I dont even know what to say. I'm really sorry man, I feel like really really bad. Hope you get better soon, and I recommend you get back into collecting, it's fun:)
@@RaptorRapine thanks man I appreciate it! It really sucked but it’s in the past. Luckily with celebrations I was able to draw the classic trio starters so that healed my spirit a bit haha
@@zandalftheblue2837 Amazing! I'm happy that you managed to get some good stuff!
Listening to your stories reminds me of my own childhood. I experienced a lot of the same things you did growing up with Pokemon.
This is nice content. Those old playground war-stories of treacherous kids and rescuing your cards sent me right back.
Great watch, I have the exact same feelings with neo era. Keeping up with the cool kids left me just playing the video games, missing out on some great looking cards.
I feel you man, I remember in first grade where it was cool to have Pokémon cards and me and my friend will trade with older kids, it brings me nostalgia thinking about it.
17:51 wow you have the super rare zubat flying through lightning error card!
Awesome video! I'm still looking for my childhood collection! Sounds like we walked the same path growing up. Even the same versions of games! Thanks for the content!
So cool that you found these man. I wish I had mine. I’d like to build an old school base set binder all beat up for the collection.
I found my childhood collection at my parents about 3 months ago. All the memories it brought back was irreplaceable. It’s crazy how much you can remember just from seeing these cards. So happy to be back collecting after more than 20 years!
E
Love to see played and rocked down cards. It gives me such a nostalgic vibe
Thats what these cards made for back in the day
Anyone else surprised it took REV this long to go searching and find his old collection
#clickbait
Yeah I thought that but then most his stuff is click bate
I wanna see them either way.
@@appletherapy3492 cool story bro needs more dragons
Lol I thought the same thing!
It brings back so much nostalgia watching someone look at there old Pokémon binders🕹👾🎮
I still have my collection from my childhood and I’ve continued to collect over the yrs. Its takin over lol I was lucky enough to keep all mine in sleeves and in non ring binders so I’m pretty happy with it.
And I thought my childhood cards were bad. I still have 1st edition base set. Shadowless, 1st jungle and 1st fossil. Currently getting graded just for me. I may sell some duplicates but majority will be for me to look back on opening them as a kid. Love it man.
Come on you know we all want to see your whole collection! Best thing ever to see all the vintage stuff we all had as kids🤙🏼
I’m recently new to your channel and I’m just catching up on some of your old videos, and your story about watching the anime on Saturday mornings with your brother and trying to catch a episode before getting the bus to school is exactly what me and my younger sister were like I was born in 1990 and I’m guessing from your story you are around the same age as me and I just wanted to say that it’s really cool to hear your story if brought back some memories that I hold dearly to my heart
Loved seeing this, makes me wish I had my collection from when I was a kid.
I wish I got into Pokémon early on. I was never allowed to be into them, but I’m happy I’m into them now, and you’ve definitely put a spark back into collecting. Thank you!
WE-WANT-A-SETUP-TOUR! 👏

@@LUMBEEPHENOM2012 letssss gooooo!
Hearing you talk about how it was in the 90's is so accurate for me. Loved pokemon but would have fun poked at me about it. Funny thing is those kids that would pick at you secretly liked it too.
One of my favorite memories of collecting pokemon cards is when I was being babysat by my aunt and we went to 7 - Eleven. She allowed me to get a handful of first edition base set packs. I fondly remember sitting In the back seat of her nissan pulling the first edition base set charizard.
the story of the kids taking your cards at school...almost the same thing happened to me way back in the day...honestly why I stopped collecting as a kid. now we are just big kids!
My Bad Pokémon Memory is the Moment i found latios in Pokémon emerald, i was like 7 years Old and took my gameboy with the Game to school. After a Break my Gameboy was still there, but my Pokémon Game and my latios were gone.
Big sad. Never saw it again.
But a few years Later i got latios ex delta species holo from a Dragon frontiers pack, my last Pokémon cards i got till today. (~13 years ago)
And its my most valuable card, maybe aside from my First Edition dark charizard (non holo)
Never happened to me with Pokemon cards fortunately but it did happen with toys that were in the UK called Crazy Bones.
I got the rarest one and was the only kid in school with it, whilst I left them with a friend of mine, this other kid that was always getting into trouble snatched the bag of my friend.
I managed to get the bag back but didn't realise until later that the rare one was gone, even had my dad come into school but unfortunately it was days later and the pr*ck kid had taken it home.
It's not worth much now but the only reason she stole it was solely to cause issues for others as she didn't play them, it's sad how poor a person some kids are.
@@Guvnor2410 wow crazy bones!! That takes me back. I still have a few around
M!km!l?
“I’d put all of them in my pocket”. Well at least you took the name pocket monsters literally..
best 20 minutes I’ve spent on CZcams in a long time. Thanks. 🙂
As Pat would say "Bad Binder Behaviour" haha. It was awesome to see your old pokemon collection. I feel so bad that i lost all my old cards.
"i was a 90s kid who put his cards in his pocket"
I feel this on a spiritual level
Hey Pokérev I noticed the shadowless Bulbasaur just before 17:50 in the bottom left part of the left page has a length-length printing error instead of length weight so might be worth getting it graded or just pulled out!😃
how the hell did you notice that XD !
he has 2 like that the the one on top was length length as well
If I still had my cards from my childhood I would send some to PSA even if they get a PSA 1, the nostalgia and memories they would bring is priceless.
My mum threw my entire collection out, with a lot of my personal belongings when she wanted to clean my room out. Included full base set with a shadowless 1st ed charizard I bought for $50 back in the day from a shop in mint. I hope someone out there found it
This video is awesome man!
Really felt old emotion during this video.
I am from France and become pokemon fan as soon as it came. Remember playing the games on the computer with an emulator hahaha.
But TCG always have been on the top for me! Loved collecting and trading. My first cards i got was fake homade printed cards that some did and I exchange them with my some break food.
But I really recognize myself when you spoke of the changing school and collecting pokemon card is not well seen...
Was hard for me because I didn't stopped, was manly getting card on garage sell but always worried that some person's i know saw me and used it to criticize me the day after in school.
I still own all my french cards collection, it's few thousand of cards but manly on MP condition because we was actually playing with the card at that time.
But it s so good to be back in TCG collecting after 10 years of break . It feel so good to be able to found big collector like you without feeling judged.
Thanks for yours video man!
This made my day Rev! Thanks for these nostalgic vibes! 🤙
Just this part weekend, I went through my parents place and found my long lost binder! The memories :)
This is great man! Brought me back to laying in front of the old tvs watching Pokémon! Ooooo good times
im 32 years old and one day my mom showed up with boxes and boxes of old stuff from my child hood. she was glad to get rid of them (lol) in those boxes was my old pokemon cards from the 90's . have about 30-40 holos . i have no clue how much they are worth . i havent been big into pokemon since i was a kid and i took a trip down memory lane remembering how excited i was to open a pack and find a holo. they are now sleeved up and sitting in a box in my closet. lol anyways i been googling and searcing facts about old pokemon cards and came across your channel a few days ago and been loving the content.
My mum chucked out my childhood collection 🥺 I’m not sure I’ll ever emotionally recover from it
Nooooooo 💔
Same thing happened to me....so upset when i came back into the hobby and saw the prices of the cards i used to have. Joe Exotic said it best...."i will never financially recover from this" hahahah
or financially recover lol
I’m so sorry 😢
Jimmy is doing a well job holding the camera! must be heavy.... give that guy a raise!!
33 year old here and this video brought back all the feels, gamezone in Hillsdale NJ. Used to ride my skateboard there with my cousin and buy up as many packs as we could afford. I live in Texas now, when i get back to NJ next time i'm turning my parents house upside down to find my old binders. Love the channel, keep it up!
21:09 R.I.P. monster reborn beat up to the absolute max lmao 🤣
I bought 2 of your battle styles booster boxes today. Going to be doing an opening of them both on my channel.
Rev, show us your entire collection 🔥🔥🔥, thanks for what you have already shared

This was awesome man!
My kids started collecting cards this year and I found my old collection of originals to share with them and I forgot about so many of them. So with them collection I started again with them haha!
Love your vids man!
No better felling than going through your old stuff😎👍🏼 so cool brotha
Getting a psa 1 in my opinion is much cooler than like a psa 3 or smthing
Got my childhood collection recently, all of the cards were in one plastic bag. Took me a better part of a day to go through them all, some still in okay condition, including an unlimited base set Charizard!
Thank you for the nostalgia. I subscribed because my childhood memories of Pokémon cards were one of the only good memories I have. I needed this happiness
Great old collection. Didn't collect Pokemon when I was younger but until I got older, along with mtg, and some Yu-Gi-Oh. But I do have a decent collection of old games. I think it would be a great video to some your old games! I'd like to see your collection of games though!! Great vids man, it's always good to walk down memory lane lol

This is amazing to watch I'm 36 m my son is 10 and he's taking a huge leap n the nostalgia is very real I've started helping him with the original 151 base, jungle, fossil and we r very close to having the whole shebang (not gem mint) but I love watching ur channel I've learned alot of stuff I was clueless about!!!
aye god bless you actually found the cards becuase old stuff is always super hard to find
we did it boys we struck gold!!! MY GOLD ALIEN!! im soo proud! 😭😂
I gave my entire collection from my childhood to my neighbors kid when I wad around 18. Dumbest decision I ever made. I had all three starter pokemom holo evolutions charazard and all. I wanna say I collected all 150 or 151 original gen 1 pokemon and gave them all away. Never thought they'd be worrh anything lol
Bro
nooo! lol i recently came across my old cards from the 90s . they been in a box since the early early 2000's
@@UNCULTUREDSTEVE when I seen what these cards were going for the past couple of years I was sick lol. If I were you I'd sell them while the prices are still good. They're starting to come down alittle.
@@joshlowe6918 are they? I posted a video in my shorts seeing if anyone knew anything about em lol I live in a small town so there isn’t any card stores here unless I drive 2 hours. So I might have to use eBay
@@UNCULTUREDSTEVE yea eBay is the best way to sell them but for the most accurate prices they're going for is on the PSA website in there auction section. You might be able to sell them there too but they may need to be graded to.
Definitely brings instant memories nostalgic moments in fragments of time Pokémon Revolution Pokémon Trainer
That was great to see. Flooded back memories of mine. Had over 2000. All been thrown out when I was still a teen 😭 Miss them a lot. But making memories with my boy's now 2 and 4 who are really into Pokémon.
*Tosses card into the wind*
“Oh there’s your card!”
mom "what are you doing there son?"
rev "Searching for shiny cardboard."
mom. ".....okay.....😐.....well you have fun..."
I found my childhood cards as well recently lots of holos and a charizard holo as well .... thanks for all the pokemon information i appreciate u brother
I wish I had kept my childhood cards. I had a whole big stack of them. And I vividly remember having the card (I can’t remember if it was mew or mewtwo) that came with the first movie vhs.
I remember vividly to this day. It was 4th grade 2004 career day. My whole deck got stolen outa my desk.
When I was 9 my next door neighbor convinced me to trade my holo Blastoise for a trainer.
😭
I was born 1990 in germany and I was the same as you. Your story matches mine 100%. I first had the blue edition, then the silver one, and I was always in the card shop, swapping and collecting.
mannnnn.... honestly, it's so funny how similar we are all over the world. I'm here in Pakistan and growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s during the pokemania, your story of your cards being stolen in the classroom, brings me back to those days where we'd almost smuggle cards into school which got banned at very quickly. how kids would literally sell their soul to get their hands on a promo mew card and cheat their childhood best friends if it meant getting their hands on a rare card. how there were rumors that the teachers had a whole pile of confiscated legendary cards and if you could sneak in you could get your hands on all of them. It amazes me how similar we all are at a grassroots level all over the world.
My mom sold my whole collection in a yard sale when I was a teenager, if only I can go back and see what I had :(
Same bro
Great finds 🙌
I wish I still had mine from I was kid, lost all our stuff when my mom and dad pastaway :( been trying to get my collection back but it’s so hard and expensive:( but reliving my childhoods best memories at the same time and it’s helped my mental health so much, Pokemon is life 💚
Yes grade some childhood cards 😁😁
Especially the Victribell with that backstory
god thatd be crazy going through my old card collection as a kid had thousands upon thousands pokemon/yugio/baseball but dont remember what happened to them

Spread the gospel you never know when Jesus is coming back 🙏 And have an amazing day God bless you all 🙏
Dude! Trip down nostalgia lane, I remember collecting Pokémon as kid and I had all of the original 151 with a bunch of highly valuable rando’s like an ancient mew! Just recapitulating my child hood I know for fact I also had a first edition Charizard! Unfortunately I lost all my cards in an estate sale and I was surprisingly organized as little kid and had all my cards in excellent condition in a binder organized by no. I literally treated my collection and individual cards like gold, they were the most prized possessions I had at the time! My brother and I literally collected and sometimes traded only to complete our collections. As I think back on it now, I know whoever got my binder made out like a bandit! I had some seriously valuable cards! Crazy to think back on my childhood like this. Thank you for the great videos dude! Keep it on brotha!
I REALLY enjoyed this video. It brought me back to my childhood where I collected yugioh cards, and my brothers and I would play together. Those yugioh cards you pulled out of the blue binder were spot on to the time when I started..
I had a shoebox that I had filled with all kinds of cool yugioh cards, well TLDR, Mom thought they were demonic and horrible for us youngins to be playing around with, so we were forced to throw the whole shoebox of blue eyes white dragon, all my starter decks and everything cool I had collected into a fricken fire man! I still let her know how much money could have been in there in today's world. Ahhh, the good ole days. Thanks for this video.
I found my old binder full of base set, jungle, fossil and Japanese cards about 2 years ago. Still in my original zip up binder with my name on it and everything from when i was 7-10 years old back in 99-02. I was extremely surprised at how well younger me took care of cards and organized the binder, it was shocking. Opened it up to a page of 3 base set Charizards, 3 Blastoise and 3 Venusaur staring at me. I almost cried thinking about all the memories I’ve had pulling, trading, and collecting them all. Incredible memories with my older brother and younger brother for sure.
I've had my original collection from when I was a kid in the original pokemon pokedex binder I put them in. Has survived all this time and decided to continue adding to the collection a year ago.
It's really so sweet you still have so much of your childhood stuff at your parent's place.
2:30 damn I remember KB toys. I bought like 100 packs of lob European 1st edition yugioh boosters from there before it went out of business.
my older siblings did Pokemon and they definitely got me into it but just watching this video I wonder what cards they have and I gonna try and see. love your videos. Pokerev RULES!!!
Never played with my first edition cards. Always pack fresh then put in the binder. Sure wish I could find that binder and relive those memories pulling all those cards
My cards used to look like that! LOL
(Now I take care of my cards, and even have some graded!)
Nice collection! There’s some cards I’ve never seen before!
I’m sorry to hear about your JPN Victreebell and Seadra, I feel your pain! Kids can be so horrible! I can recall my childhood being horrible with so called “friends” too. I went to a friend’s house and he and another friend (he also had round) asked to see my cards. Even though I knew they weren’t major Pokémon fans I showed them anyway. Then they hid my cards in the house. Shortly after my mom came to collect me, and as much as I pleaded to get my cards back, they denied taking and hiding them and so I never got them back. They say not to keep grudges but I can’t help it since 3 of those cards were Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur (from base set unlimited) 😢
Yes dude lets see that full video game collection!
Thank you for sharing your childhood Rev♥️
Cheers on memories with your brother - to this day, in my late thirties, my younger brother and I still share Pokemon cards haha
This is amazing seeing old Pokémon cards
Never found my binder but I'm cstching up! Beat but some good hits in that collection man!
I thought this was finding old cards you really surprised me with the games! Kinda happy with this surprise!!
another big part for me was the books I remember how crazy it was everyone in school was obsessed with it it opening up from left to right great memories
That was a lovely video! Just brings back nostalgia from my childhood too
