Hi Signey. I sold my iphone 12 pro max because it was too big as well. Am about to buy the iphone 13 mini too.
I have the 12 mini and it’s honestly my favorite phone in many years. Just the form factor. I can finally use a case and not feel like I’m carrying a brick.
9 months and my 12 mini battery health went down to 90%. I’m a heavy user and charge the device several times a day. What about you?

Down to 87%. Have to charge it usually around 5/6pm which is fine for me because I’m driving then and by the time I’m home it’s at 80% charge usually. Works out for me but gonna wait till 14 mini if it comes out - the extra battery life would be quite nice but can’t warrant the 13 yet over the 12

Im not an Apple person but.. you are totally right especially with the new iPad mini with USBc.
For $1200 you can get a Pro max or you cN get a mini 13 n a new ipad..better value..carrying a 6.7 in phone everywhere u go can be a drag..I'd rather carry the mini n keep the Ipad at home.

I have the 7plus. Old of course but about the same size as the 13 pro max and I like the bigger phone. The big ones seems too big for about 5 minutes and then it seems like the best way to go.
@@gutenbird my only thing is , yes you have a big phone, but the 12&13 pro max are all screen, so it’s like 1/3 more than what you have now. I went from iPhone 8plus to 11 pro and now 13 pro, the screen was perfect sized for me if I had gotten the pro max I would’ve regretted it, personally.

I’m in the same boat. I want a smaller phone too. I’m tired of my iPhone X’s size and weight. When I had the iPhone 5s, I felt that was the best sized phone. I moved up to iPhone X for my 37th birthday and took it with me to China to train at the Shaolin Temple a few years back. Good times vlogging that experience, but that phone was just too big. Glad I’m not alone on that thought. Keep creating content bro. :)
I have to admit the bigger iPhones are cool and I moved from a 5s to a 8 and then finally to the iPhone 12 mini and honestly I love the size it feels bigger than a iPhone 8 but it still smaller and feels like the right size and for me I love it because it reminds me of my 5s and now I think the 13 mini is really a good idea for anyone and I hope you enjoy your new phone!

@@SidneyDiongzon My iPhone mini last around 10 hours with the brightness a little bit down and 5G off so with the iPhone 13 mini you should be fine but if you want to get better battery just go with the regular iPhone 13!

Totally with you on this, and even had the Mini pre-order lined up! The Pro Max has been good in some ways but it’s just too big for me. However I ended pulling the trigger on the 13 Pro myself. Battery life and that low light capability in ultra wide is what ultimately moved me over.
I have a new IPhone 13 mini …. When I load IHeart app to listen to a podcast….how the hell do I stop the podcast from running? I can swipe it up and it will NOT stop the app. So it runs in the background using all the battery power. Only way to close it is to shut down my phone. Thank you. Help!

Personally I have the 12 Pro Max and I preordered the 13 Mini because I want to experience the nostalgia again of my favorite iPhone, the 5s.
Actually tired of the larger phones and I honestly don’t use the extra camera features anyway.
And what games I do play, I have no problem with the 12 Pro Max so the 13 Mini will suffice. I honestly don’t care about the 120Hz screen
The 5s is also my favorite phone!…in fact the mini models alittle bit smaller would have have been better…the perfect iphone i think would be a midnight green 5 inch screen 1tb notchless square design phone with that specific design the 5s had in the back…obviously im dreaming here lol

@@SuperYtc1 the 13 Mini works great for my needs. Battery life isn’t an issue and with the fast charger it doesn’t take long anyway to charge. Pics are great. And I’m not really missing the 120hz screen or the extra camera features. All in all, I’m happy with this phone

That’s my exact reason my fave phone was the 5S so durable and even when I switched the 6 still worked like a charm. I love the feel of the mini!
How is it camera wise? Is the iPhone 13 mini better than the 12 pro?
I think the mini is the right size but my wife loves doing macro photography when we hike so. That coupled with screen refresh rate, battery and the higher quality wide camera pushed me to get the 13 pro for her. I prefer android so I am waiting for the Pixel 6 to compare.

Ok so if I’m doing videos for my food business and have a lumix S1 with only the 24-105 lens and I do have a gimbal for iPhones that I use with my 11pro, would you say skip the pro and get the mini? I love the idea of the mini, perfect size and price but the camera features pale in comparison. Note hat I’m just learning to make and edit videos but I used to be a photographer long ago using medium format film cameras in studios.

Just switched from the XS max to the 13 mini. I was just so sick of how big and bulky and non pocket friendly the XS max was. I like how the 13 mini is small enough that i can reach around the whole screen with one thumb

I have the total opposite experience from you - got the 12 mini and felt I was left out not getting the Pro Max.

Waiting for more reviews on the 13 mini because of the larger battery, but it may not be worth it.
Currently using the 12 Pro Max, then tried the 12 Mini... The weight is just comforting as a daily driver, also tried shooting videos using the Mini and it just works! Maybe the camera upgrade on 13 Mini + the size + a little more juice is just tempting 😎
I’ve opted to come from the 12 Pro to 13 Mini in blue. Just wanted a smaller phone for a year.
I was impatient and bought the 12 when it came out, pro was to expensive for a camera upgrade. I regretted buying the 12 the day I got it and the Iphone mini was available. Now that 13 has fixed some of the battery issues I’m def getting it.

Thanks for the review! I just moved from my 2016 iPhone SE to the 13 mini. Even though the mini is bigger than the original SE, I am getting used to it. I refused to go the a large phone. My carrier is discontinuing 3G end of December 2021 so I decided to make the move. So glad I did. I am waiting for my Sphier Tough Armor case and screen protector. I will continue to use my 2016 SE at home on internet.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Although I’m not trading my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I wanted to buy the iPhone 13mini and keep my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I just want a smaller phone that fits lighter and smaller in my pocket. It does gets tiring carrying a brick in your pocket all the time.

Im used the iPhone X for the last couple of years now and ordered the iPhone 13 Pro. Im very excited for the ProRaw and ProRes Features also the 120Hz Display so i jumped to the base model Pro.
Im curious if im going to stick to it but im also a big fan of the mini size iPhone.

I'm thinking of adding the iphone 13 mini as a second line. I've never owned an apple phone before. At first glance I thought the phone was a joke, but after picking it up and trying it out at the store, I'm liking what I'm seeing and feeling. I was shocked actually that despite the compact size it was easy to use and text with. I never liked phones bigger than 6 - 6.3 inches. Who knows I may transition from Samsung Android. Any particular tips as a new apple phone user? Case recommendation? I heard apple is discontinuing the mini series? Should I go for the 512 mb?

I would say get both, and return the one you don’t like. It’s a win win!
Get the middle / sweetspot option... the 6.1"... hahaha there you'll have the option of going in for the pro features or just going for the all around awesome phone that does everything... while still enjoying that bigger display.

I feel exactly how you feel, my current current phone is the 11, went for this as I didn’t need or feel like I’d use all the fancy features, and again now, due an upgrade, I prob won’t use all the fancy features on the pro models, as using A7 for my videos.great decision!

I tested the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max for a week and sent both back as they are too heavy. Got the 13 Mini 512gb and it is perfection and feels like a over achiever on so many levels. So light and capable but feels more impressive because of its micro size. It makes the 13 Pro feel fat and a obese for its size and weight. I found the 13 mini battery life so close to the 13 Pro in my daily test that it’s almost identical. Speakers sound almost identical, which is excellent with plenty of volume and full sounding. I watched several movies and the 13 mini screen is super sharp and bright I got pulled into the movie as good as a iPad. Get the 13 Mini, it’s really the flagship iphone of 2022.

After using Plus sized iphones for many many years I went with a 12 mini last month. Love it. Love it so much. Wish I did it sooner.
Same. I kind of wish it didn’t have a glass back, I wish they’d make an aluminum (iPhone 8) style back for it. Good thing it’s small enough to where a case doesn’t make it bulky.

I’m thinking about doing the same thing trading off my 12 pro for 13 mini for the same reason, the comfort factor 😅.
I have the 12 pro max and although I love the size of the screen for use, I often wish I had a mini carry around with its smaller size and less weight. Now I have ordered an iPad mini, I’m thinking of supplementing that with a iPhone mini, as I think I will use the iPad for any prolonged browsing, video watch, emailing, etc and I will only use the iPhone in future for quick access on the move. I’m holding off for now to see if I use the iPad mini as anticipated, before I make any change to my iPhone
I am switching from the 12 pro max to the 13 mini. I decided last year that I needed to have the biggest and best phone when in reality my hands are big enough to hold the pro max one handed and use it that way but it’s still not comfortable. My mom got the 12 mini and I just love the form factor. I don’t need the nest camera system or 120hz to doom scroll Reddit lol

Great, but each to their own. Have the 12proMax first ever, always thought far to big but over this past year got really used to the size and no negatives any otherwise, so 13ProMax upgrade. Looking forward to the macro lenses too. Thanks for sharing

I use the 12 max for the battery life, and became a power user for photos/videos, great for b-roll in good light. if I'm going to do some sort of review outdoors, there's a good chance I'm using my phone. zv1 for home studio has worked very well. the telephoto lens + 4K 60 + outdoors = great setup
im torn between the 12 mini, 12 pro, and 13 mini. right now there is a pretty nice sale on the 12 mini and 12 pro, im just not sure how the 13 mini's battery life will compare to the two
12 mini only holds 64gb. Would not recommend..
@@liamneslind4182 2022 of the 12 mini will only hold 64GB. Look at carriers or quality used and you'll see 256GB. Don't misinform pls. properly inform.
Also some have reported lens flare on the 12 series (12 and 12 mini) - I've personally experienced this and it's annoying so my 12 mini 256GB is being traded in for the 13 mini 512GB.
@@don-dadda8006 no I meant the base model. The base model for the 12 is 64. The base model for the 13 is 128gb.
I have a 12 Pro and am considering moving to the 13 mini for the smaller size and weight. I might miss the telephoto lens and the larger battery on vacations. But I suppose this could be addressed by getting some little P&S camera with a bit of optical zoom.

Mini is cool, I have a 12 mini but I find it slipping out of my hands often. It’s just to small for me. Preordered a 13 Pro until the Pixel 6 Pro comes out.
Have had my 13 Mini a few days now and love it! Pairs perfectly with an iPad and Apple Watch. Still working on settings and it’s going well. Glad to be immersed in the ecosystem because toe dipping across 3 platforms at once was triggering my Autism.
when i upgraded to the 12 pro, i missed the rounded edges and the smaller screen of my 11 pro, it just felt better in the hand. now i have the same thoughts, holding the mini feels correct lol
11 series and others with rounded edges, when carried naked, some may have it slip out their hands easier.

When phones started becoming bezel-less I've always thought a small phone would benefit the most since the extra screen real estate would mean so much more in that form factor. For whatever reason, Apple is the only company making small phones now and I've even heard rumors the 13 mini will be the last. I've decided to give iOS a try again after being off the eco system since the 4s. I miss the ability to just use my phone with one hand.
I'm on the same boat. I'm just concerned that if I get used to a small phone, the next time I upgrade I won't be able to find one.

I am leaning towards the mini as well. I have used my iPhone in a pinch, like filming in Japan an wasn’t allowed to bring my main camera into palace for the show I was working on. So filmed with the iPhone X /filmic, it aired and looked good. I bet the mini could do the same in a pinch.

As a photographer, I find myself becoming lazy reaching for an iPhone to take photos.
Then...I'm disappointed when I can't edit the photos as much as I would like in comparison to RAW files.
I realize I want to use my professional gear more, and be on my phone less. :) Thanks for helping me make my decision!

I think this is a great decision! This is what I'm thinking of as well. The features are really cool in that pro versions, but honestly I can't wait to get the mini and save my wrists.

I came to the same conclusion when the announced the iPhone 13 mini and heard that in all likelihood there will not be an iPhone 14 mini. I like the idea of cinematic mode, want to run it through it's paces, and I don't especially need the telephoto lens.
The mini feels about right in the hand, and I have big hands so this has nothing to do with small fingers or something like that. I don't like the bulk of my iPhone 12 Pro in my pants pocket, either. The mini just makes the most size-wise sense.

Agree did the same thing, although from a iPhone 11. Great phone but wanted the smaller phone. The larger battery in the 13 also will mean lesser of a compromise. I wonder if this year will be the year of the mini.
Sidney, I said the same!… My neighbour showed me her 12 mini, I held it & couldn’t believe how much it just felt right in my hand. I’m coming from an xs max, I have been hands, I like bigger screens but, the mini has turned me. I’m upgrading to the 13mini only bc it has better battery life than the 12mini.

Unfortunately this will be the last year they will make the mini, so I ordered mine as soon as I heard. Hated the:SE2, had it for a year and the battery life was ridiculous. The 13 mini is supposed to give you 8 hours of use. You need to do a video on the screen protectors for the 13mini when you get yours. Quite a few functions utilizing working when I put on the otter protector as well as the facial recognition. Read this is extremely common with a lot of the protectors. Ended up buying one from the sprint store that works great

I'm enjoying my Flip 3 and Razr 5G and I get stares every time I whip them out. Clamshells for me. Will never go back to slabs.
The video and photos are noticeably different (lower) quality outside the Pro-max. We don't all have A7S3's...yet :)
Just made the switch from Samsung to 13 Pro and I’m on day two, moderately frustrated with how this OS is set up, but I’m almost certain I’m sending this back for the mini. I’m a delivery driver and after 4 hours of work, my hand hurts from holding this phone. I’m not excited about the mini battery life though. However, the pro is drained quick anyways when I’ve got the gps, Spotify and delivery apps running simultaneously. I’ll definitely hate 60 hz as I’ve had 12 forever now with android
Recently went from a 12 mini to a 13 Pro and I'll be returning my 13 Pro for a 13 mini. I've never had a Pro iPhone and wanted to try it out. Definitely not for me. I miss being able to comfortably hold my phone in one hand.
Omg this really helped me! I have a 12 Pro now and I have been debating for weeks about which one I should choose, whether the 13 Pro or 13 Mini. I’m planning to get into photography a bit more but I feel my camera is better for that then my phone. Thanks for this video, I think the mini is the right choice!

Hi. This is my first time tuning in. I knew that I was on the right channel when you referenced not liking your "phone naked" LOL. I'm the opposite though, I always say that I like for my phone to be "naked" I don't know, there's just something about feeling it in it's natural glory. Lol. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting the iPhone mini 13. How is the battery really?
Hey man, I upgraded today from an iPhone 7 to a iPhone 13 Mini for similar reasons.. just the convenience and size is what works for me. I'm also looking forward to being creative with it as well for content. Thanks your video!
