Cool, can’t beat vector for that!
I have been using a bunch of other Vector apps like Affinity Designer and recently tried out Adobe Fresco - mind blown. At 8:31, I died. I even did not know that it had a very cool feature to use for the paint bucket. I always thought the vector brushes worked with the touch modifier only. All those tips you just gave in this video definitely will save my time! The stamp brush is my new favorite for sure! This content about the touch modifier is a must watch video for improving artists like me! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
So glad this was helpful!
The amount of speech blunders in this video got me laughing so hard, 🤣🤣 aside from that thank you so much Chris I was trying to illustrate on Procreate I never like it, it always bothered me the UI was terrible, I was locked into specific file sizes etc. But after discoving your channel I'm back to illustrating on Fresco and I can't put it down. Thank you so much! Much love ✌🏻
Excellent! Thank you much!
Excellent use of your branding on the Sketchboard, man.
Hah thanks!
Very cool 😎
Thanks!
thankyou! i just know this by now😂
I’m so new to Fresco! I always wondered how you did the erasing in your lives! Touch modify seems magical! ✨
Ah glad this answered that question!

I knew about the modified and what it did, but not the double tap. Very helpfully since I tend to work on the train or couch where it's hard to work 2 handed
Ah glad this was useful.
Man.. you and your works... Damn awesome You inspired me a lot to go back to fresco and now I'm doing one of my best doodle in fresco !!! Still in trouble with how to add external colour swatches in fresco ?
I've been using Fresco for like 3-4 years now...and NEVER knew half the shit that I've seen on your page in the last hour. lol Thank you sir, so much!
Haha glad I could help!
You are amazing
Thank you!
Good video! Needed this. 😄 Have you already made a video about using the clipping mask during animation to acheive clean consistant edges? I'm currently looking to know more about that.
Yes I have! czcams.com/video/AVwUcfe4PqQ/video.htmlsi=IyhBtszTl9GfLERy
These are really cool features, and my favorite of the video has to be the multicolor swatch! That's so cool and would really come in handy for some of my art in which I have to replicate intricate stitching and patterns on clothes. Does it work from one file to another? Like if I swatch on one file, can I just go to another and stamp it?
You can save the brush into your library and reuse it!
@@chris-piascik rad! Thanks for the quick reply!! Your channel has been great help to me with learning fresco!
Is your hand resting on the screen? If so, how did you activate that feature?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻
👍👍
😎🙏
Is the skull stamp available only in the premium version?
The skull was just a drawing I made and then used the multi-color swatch to turn it into a stamp.
You are HILARIOUS!😂😂😂
😂 ty!!
Hey I just saved my adobe fresco file and when I opened it again all my layers were suddenly merged together, do u know what to do ?? I’m desperate :( I need to separate them
Oh no, I’m sorry that happened? How did you save it? Fresco autosaves, so maybe you are looking at an exported image and not the actual file?
When I double tap the button and strike over a line to get the Sharpe auto erase, it just rubs through like a normal erase stroke. It doesn’t automatically take it away like it does in your video. Is there a setting that needs to be on or something 🤔
The vector trimming needs another tap. When you double tap the center of the modifier will be blue, one more tap and the blue will go to the outside edge. That’s vector trimming mode.
magnificent modules 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In transforming tool, between the arrows are two lines that “appear” they should do something. What is that thing?
Hey Brooke! Sorry I missed this! Those lines allow you to move that "tool" around your artboard.
Perhaps I’m missing something but at the 930 mark you discussed your fifth tip, and I see that you create the stamp using pixel brushes, but I seem to be limited only to live brushes for the multi brush.
Then when I use the touch modifier it turns the brush into an eraser… So what am I missing here?
Thx for video
To do the multicolor swatch thing you double tap the modifier and then tap and hold on the spot you want to make the swatch from. Hope that helps!
I was going to delete my semi dumb comment but instead.. what I believe I’ve figured out is that certain pixel brushes need to be invoked and not others … anyway, thx again for your video
i dotn understand why when i double tap the modifier and then long press its not creating the stamp....what am i missing here because im confused as hell and ive looked at every single setting to see why its not working.
I am following you step by step and I cannot get the stamp feature to work. Did they nerf it? Is it possible something in my settings isn’t allowing me to do it? Does it only work with pixel brushes?
Just figured it out. The sketch I was trying to use was just line work. When I filled it in w color it allowed the feature to work. Which makes complete sense bc it’s a multicolor brush. I’m an idiot but I’m leaving this here in case anyone else ever has a momentary lapse of common sense.
Glad you figured it out!
Isn't there a menu for symmetry..?
Symmetry isn’t available yet, but I saw it listed as one of the next features that will be added.
Are you selling the grunge brush you used in the first example?
This is in Retro Supply Co's THE LINER BRUSH PACK, Classic Inker!
www.retrosupply.co/?rfsn=6814948.e3561c
what fresco lacks is a symmetry tool
Yeah, I know a friend at Adobe has been testing it out and it’s just about ready.
The Barley Man is an artichoke ((:
Lol
Surely the best thing to do is just draw everything with vector brushes.. to me it seems like the thing you'd do. Pixel brushes are just to play with?
It would just depend on the project I guess! 😊
I tried this, and it worked, except my skull was upside down.
Weird! Maybe you accidentally rotated your canvas?
But isn't it crazy that there's no visual indication about what the modifier does at any given moment...? We know it's 'on', but since it's different for every different tool, it would be very user friendly if it at least briefly says what it's doing now. 'Erase / Trim / position lock / multi-color eyedropper' etc.
I can see that being helpful.
I thought the barley/hops guy was Artichoke Man.
To be perfectly honest, I know so little about beer that they could be the same thing, lol. The client told it was accurate though.
@@chris-piascik That’s all that matters.
