2 questions: one, how long does the brushes making contact with the rings last, wear down before needing replacement brushes? Two, I didn’t see it being test driven but is it recommended more for while the bike is parked at an event/gathering or can it be driven just as much?
Tonio Vant The brushes are made of carbon and are spring loaded inside the brush block. I have gotten over 15k miles before needing to replace the brushes. It also depends on how the rider rides. Sport bike riders usually wear out there brushes quicker due to higher speeds. The brushes are only $16 for a full front and rear replacement. Here is a link to this bike on a ride. czcams.com/video/1wb8BQ_LTeE/video.html

My shop is located in Houston TX. I have had many people ship me their bikes as well as ship me their wheels for installs. The Touring bikes do not necessarily need the rear wheel illuminated. Many touring bikes can simply add LED strips at the bottom of the bags to create a down shine that is consistent with the wheel glow. A Culp The remote control does allow you to turn on/off the lights as well as change functions but power is still being used by the module that communicates with the remote. The kill switch is connected between the 10 amp fuse holder and the remote module. The kill switch disconnects power from the battery to the module so that the module doesn’t drain the battery. I generally mount the kill switch on the back left side of the bikes so it is accessible without letting go of the throttle.Thank you for the kind words and as always we are here to answer any questions you may have. 🙂

Chris Sturtevant: you can go to rushbikes.com/?product_cat=lighting to order these kits, but if you have aftermarket wheels, I will need measurements off of your wheels to provide you with the accurate led strips. Email me at marcel@rushbikes.com and I will assist you
LUIS FRANCO: To be honest, none of the M109s that we have worked on have had any transmission problems. I can say this bike is a beast with plenty of power. Definitely a great motorcycle when transitioning from sport bike to cruiser.
Any day now I'm going to Man Up Marcel and do the install on my 2015 VMax. You have 2 videos posted regarding the LED Install the other being a 2012 Yamaha Stryker. In that video you didn't drill through the brake disc. What do you recommend for the VMax? Cheers
Charles Jarman The Yamaha Stryker as well as many cast aluminum factory wheels have hole openings in their wheels near the hub already; eliminating the step or drilling a pilot hole for an LED wire to run through. It’s bee so long since I’ve done a VMax, I can’t remember if a hole is necessary, but I’m more than happy to assist you when it comes time to do your installation
Alberto Santiago No, the LEDs that are used have a water proof silicon coating. These kits come with a kill switch that disconnects the power from remote module. If you do find yourself in a rainy situation, and low voltage power does run constantly, we suggest disconnecting the power by clicking the kill switch.
@@RUSHBIKESdotCOM let's say they are on and I run into rain or I go over some water will the unit short? Not because of the LED strips but because the exposed metal rings that I'm guessing have power going through them, this is my main concern.
aKaDeMize I’m currently rebuilding my website with updated work, services, and an online store. It’s should be up in the next few weeks. Email me at marcel@rushbikes.com and I will reply with pricing, installation time, and how you can schedule an appointment.
Albert VS lol 😂 I’m 5’6”. I understand the importance of being comfortable on the motorcycle your riding. The M109 is a low seated bike and you have options of handlebar pullbacks that will allow less stress on your arms for a more comfortable ride.
i had a kit from xk glow put on my gsxr ...the kit lasted a couple of weeks it was installed with double sided tape to the fairing and the heat made it all fall apart , I've had it not working on my bike for 2 years..stinks on ice i need a better kit installed correctly
Cheesefunnel: I’ve seen some shotty LED installs over the years, especially at the motorcycle rallies where riders are getting installs done at a booth in 2-3 hours. It can be difficult to find a good installer but I always recommend finding someone that you have seen their work and one who takes the time to do a quality install. These light kits take about 10-12 hours to install but the outcome is amazing. What part of the USA do you live in? Perhaps I can point you in the right direction
I am currently rebuilding my website and store for easier ordering. Until the new site is complete, Please email your year, make, and Model motorcycle to marcel@rushbikes.com
Charles Jarman Yes, I do remember removing the gilled brake rotor cover to allow a flat surface for the ring to mount to. Shorter bolts will allow proper mounting bog your rotor after removal of the gilled rotor plate.
Joel Guzman I’m currently building a new website with an online store that will allow everyone to purchase online. Until then, you can place orders my emailing me at Marcel@rushbikes.com
Soooo, I can I send you my set of wheels minus the tires if need be and have you do the install and ship them back to me? I can handle the rest of the wiring on the bike.
Prince Jadon I’m currently rebuilding my website with an online store that you will be able to purchase these kits from. You can email marcel@rushbikes.com and I will assist you with a kit.
@@RUSHBIKESdotCOM dude I just checked out your website it sounds amazing one day I will come and get something from it. I'm getting a bike nex 2 years so when I'm 16.
Good work but not Sure that it can have a long life anyway. The best option is to transfer energy by electromagnetic field not by fixed electrical contacts as from whether or from water also it can have a problems
Aram Khachatryan: Your idea of transferring energy by electromagnetic field is good, but has limitations. Yes you can transfer electricity, but only a single color LED could be used. Since multi color LEDs generally operate with one positive and three grounds, four contacts are necessary to be able to change the lighting color. A remote module is also necessary to operate color functions. LED Wheel glow riders get an average of 12k-15k miles out of their brush blocks till replacement of Springs and Brushes a needed. This is only a $16 expense. To my knowledge, we haven’t had any issues from weather or rain.

What is the name of this kit and where can I buy one ? I have a 2004 hayabusa with a aftermarket 300 kit on it and I want to see if I can put that one on mine . Thank you
Chris Sturtevant: you can go to rushbikes.com/?product_cat=lighting to order these kits, but if you have aftermarket wheels, I will need measurements off of your wheels to provide you with the accurate led strips. Email me at marcel@rushbikes.com and I will assist you
@@RUSHBIKESdotCOM thanks they will be here tomorrow and I’ll get right on it . How much does the kit cost
Do they make these for Can Am Spyder?
@Karen Taylor: email sales@rushbikes.com and I’ll provide you with info on a Spyder kit
Is a 2009 better than a 2006 M109 R model. I’ve seen other videos saying the 2006 had transmission problems. Great video.
LUIS FRANCO: To be honest, none of the M109s that we have worked on have had any transmission problems. I can say this bike is a beast with plenty of power. Definitely a great motorcycle when transitioning from sport bike to cruiser.
@@RUSHBIKESdotCOM Thank you brother, God bless you.

How can I get this kite for my motorcycle?
You can buy the wheel light kits at Rawdesigncycles.com
Nice.
Where are you located? I live in Arlington TX. I need those led lights for my motorcycle.
Marcos Salazar: Houston, TX
Where do I get slip rings?
Where are you guys located? do you also do cars?
Its illegal to drive at night with them on? Everywhere or just depending on states?
Depends n the state. They are legal where i live in Kansas
Will you they get damaged if you ride in the rain for an hour or more?
Alberto Santiago No, the LEDs that are used have a water proof silicon coating. These kits come with a kill switch that disconnects the power from remote module. If you do find yourself in a rainy situation, and low voltage power does run constantly, we suggest disconnecting the power by clicking the kill switch.
@@RUSHBIKESdotCOM let's say they are on and I run into rain or I go over some water will the unit short? Not because of the LED strips but because the exposed metal rings that I'm guessing have power going through them, this is my main concern.
I'm about to get this bike for my first bike and would like to purchase this entire kit, where and do I get this particular kit?

@@RUSHBIKESdotCOM really. That's good news for me. I really am interested. How much and how long? Do you have a webpage?
aKaDeMize I’m currently rebuilding my website with updated work, services, and an online store. It’s should be up in the next few weeks. Email me at marcel@rushbikes.com and I will reply with pricing, installation time, and how you can schedule an appointment.
Nice work!
Can you tell me, please, how tall are you? I'm 5'4 and I think I'm too short for this bike.
Thank you!
Albert VS lol 😂 I’m 5’6”. I understand the importance of being comfortable on the motorcycle your riding. The M109 is a low seated bike and you have options of handlebar pullbacks that will allow less stress on your arms for a more comfortable ride.
Does that throw your wheel balance oft?
Reaper-666 No wheel balancing issues
Where’s your shop 😊
i need this on my 2019 yamaha r3
i had a kit from xk glow put on my gsxr ...the kit lasted a couple of weeks it was installed with double sided tape to the fairing and the heat made it all fall apart , I've had it not working on my bike for 2 years..stinks on ice i need a better kit installed correctly
Where do buy the led lights from?
@Christopher Cluphf: rushbikes.com/product-category/lighting/led-wheel-glow-kits/
What product or where can I get this product
Can you please share the links of all the product you used in this video
Link to order a kit ? I can’t find anything on the website
I am currently rebuilding my website and store for easier ordering. Until the new site is complete, Please email your year, make, and Model motorcycle to marcel@rushbikes.com
Just looking through our emails I think it's covered. Removal of the gilled plate and replace bolts for shorter ones.
Charles Jarman Yes, I do remember removing the gilled brake rotor cover to allow a flat surface for the ring to mount to. Shorter bolts will allow proper mounting bog your rotor after removal of the gilled rotor plate.
where do you buy this from and how much once your website and it has no information

What year make and model motorcycle do you have? where are you located? www.rushbikes.com

Good work but not
Sure that it can have a long life anyway.
