Steve is single handedly saving the hunting industry.
@Henry T go check out Brian call (gritty bowman I believe). I particularly enjoyed his video titled 3 bears in 30 minutes

I kept all my large bones from my deer last month, and for christmas my mom gave me a bone cookbook. I feel all this is adding up for greatness.
What's the book called bro?
@@carlbibben7475 it's called "BONES. Recipes, history, and lore" by Jennifer McLagan.
I haven't gone through it yet but I now realize it isn't about cooking variations of bone marrow. It's more of a cookbook about things that are bone in and how it impacts the flavor and stuff like that. it still seems like a very good book with history and recipes. I would reccommend it anyway. But probably nobody knows as much about bone marrow as Steve.
This is your moment dude, get it!
Try marrow soup with lil meat
Steve's cooking have really evolved over the years. I remember it like yesterday when he was eating boiled meats out of a javelina stomach.
Missed an opportunity @12:00 to say "Think of how many of these things go to waste out in the woods every year... it's just nuts."
As a person who didn't grow up around hunting I can't thank you enough for making these great shows that show the process from start all the way to the table. I feel like most only shows part of the hunt, but not what to do once the game is harvested. Thank you for taking it to the finish line!
I've never gone hunting and have only shot a firearm just a handful of times, but I find this all very fascinating and it makes me interested to see where I can learn. This is all so interesting
This show is amazing
When slow cooking tougher cuts, add bay leaves to your braising liquid to help break down the meat. Won't change the flavor of Steves recipes, just helps it come out better.
Its awesome that he is thoughtful to see that everyone in every aspect of the show gets to have some of what they all help to create for all of us to watch thanks guys
It’s not mind boggling…it’s nuts!!
Only Steve can make me wanna try deer balls. Now to wait until next season. 😔
Steve just makes me wanna try balls in general :).. #NoHomo

They are cheap too…… under a buck.😂

@@VeganV5912 get out of here your opinion is weak and unwanted, if you dont understand the ethics that go into hunting your own food youre a lost cause. Not everyone is going to be a vegan or vegetarian, if you are going to eat meat, the most ethical way is to be connected to your food instead of buying meat from some industrial farm where the animals are mistreated. All hunters are more ethical than you or anyone else who contributes to that way of life, and no one here is a coward besides you hiding behind a screen.

My wife doesn't understand it. But with my hand on my heart, I say this with all honesty. Every single night I watch MeatEater to see what I can learn and take in from Mr. Rinella. I'd give anything to shake this man's hand and pick his brain on a walk through the mountains. Thank you for all you do and the wealth of knowledge you offer to us all. Even if and when MeatEater comes to an end, I'll still watch reruns. Heck I do it know lolol. Best way to calm down before going to sleep. Watch amazing hunting, cooking, knowledge. Amazing.
Your philosophical way of speaking is so nice to listen to.
I SO agree!
Huge shout-out the men and women behind the scenes, making this show the success it is. Without all of you, Steve would probably be doing the same thing he's doing now, but we wouldn't know about it, nor see it and ultimately be inspired by it! 🙏
And #SteveRinella , next time, bring a few extra beers for the crew !😉
I live to work, and work to live, I am a miserable, working class man.
Thanks Steve, for allowing the rest of us to live vicariously through you.
Would love you to take Gordon Ramsey on a hunt one day. and then both cook each other a meal after.
There Steve can call Ramsay a Donkey.
Gordon actually has quite a few wild game recipes, mostly waterfowl and game birds but i think hes published a couple venison as well
Gordon would make Steve cry, within seconds, then call Steve a cow while he is still crying...lol
rather have jamie oliver
Watch F word, Gordon's pretty much hunted all of the same animals as Steve does
Love this guys work!! He's the staple of what a true hunter is! Many props to him!! He's the kinda guy that know matter happens in life he'll be golden!!!
Hey, shout out to Steve for cooking such an incredible, lovely meal for the non-field crew. What a good boss!
20:40 Brother mans face says all I need to know 🤣🤣😂 He would have taken it home and cooked it a little longer with some seasoning
23k views in 6 hours I hope youtube is paying you out brotha, these old episodes are amazing to rewatch. Thank you man, God Bless.
Unfortunately 25k views is like 10-20 dollars.
God bless you Steve for your show.
On a cold winters night, Osso Bucco with crusty white bread can't be beaten (I've only had it with beef though). It's easy to make and full of flavour, I imagine the venison version would be delicious too.
I really respect hunters like him. Literally, NOTHING goes to waist.
Steven Rinella for president 😂
The only thing I absolutely HATE about watching Meat Eater is how damn hungry I get. God damn this man is a master.
Words can’t express how good this show is
Good job Steven! Sharing, butchering, teaching, cooking. That's how it should be done. My hat's off to you
I love his show. Combines 2 passions i have: hunting, and eating
Glad to see the staff behind the program get a taste of the harvest.
One of the best ways to cook almost any meat is right on the bone
I don’t like traditional hunting shows, but I love Meat Eater. It’s not at all about trophy hunting, it’s about the adventure, the hunt and Steve encompasses my beliefs in hunting. It all about the hunt, providing wonder food and a genuine respect for the animals you’re hunting. Yes you can respect something and kill it. Thank you so much for your show.
What about j Alain smith?
Dang Man! If I tried this in my home, it better be just for me, people have such a dislike for such food. Well done Steve, you're pushing the limits of many folks that just never!!!!!
Same here. Want to give some of this a try, but in my household I'll be the only one eating butter nuts😂

Steve sure seems to have equal talents with cooking as well as hunting. Love his show 👍
Finally, someone cooking other than tender loin. Great job for breaking the stigma of the less desire parts of an animal. Thank you Steve!
I love Steve show it's awesome that we should put more out on Netflix
When u rub the protien with oil before adding seasoning, it creates a coating barrier that makes it hard for your seasoning to penetrate for flavor.
Correct
Love watching Steve hunt and cook. True passion and love for what he’s doing.
This man is a true treasure to watch. Not only is he a badass backwoods hunter he's also the Gordon Ramsay of cooking wild game. Love the show, love the specials. Keep it up Steve.
As a Wyoming native I gotta say Steve's shirt rocks. We don't really want out of state hunters but Steve's always welcome.
Dude could open his own restaurant with this passion for the dishes and cooking
We love our ossobuco here in Italy! I'm surprised that it actually made it to an American show
Looks like a heck of a meal. Great work Steve. Tried several of your recipes with success. Wish my boss at work would cook a feast like in this video. 😁
I love this show. Hunting, Butchery, Cooking and Eating. Everything....
You're the man, Steve. MeatEater inspired me to become an adult-onset hunter. Going on my third season and haven't had success yet, but I'm learning loads more every year and absolutely have the show to thank for giving me the nudge to actually get outdoors. Hoping to get some geese tomorrow to make my own field to table meals.
Thats great! I wish there was a way to connect hunters with people starting out. Sorta speed up the process for folks.
I can watch Steven cook and hunt all day! But does anyone else really dislike the new people and shows on this channel? Steven is the GOAT! They can try but will never make a show as good as MeatEater without him in it.
My friends ! It looks so delicious. Your cooking skills are amazing. Thank you for the good food.🎄❤️
The best part is the production team cutting the actual hard parts of the process. I’m sure tons of “home cooks” are tuning in to see these recipes.
I just had to pause this at 00:19 to comment...that is one heck of a touch of science right there!! Great video, amazing looking cooking.
Good job , Steven and very considerate of you to treat the crew to a lovely dinner . I love your channel .
I will pay to have a full course meal from Steve
Yeah Steven. I like the way you cook up.
Thank you so much for this episode. I appreciate you sharing your techniques and I hope others gain as much from this as what I have.
Steve licking his fingers after finishing his butterball😂
I love that you did this for your team! great recipes and classic techniques
Steve you're awesome, Thanks to your crew as well for bringing us awesomeness
This man loves life, its that simple. And, his communicative skills and personality inspire others ... to enjoy life.
ive watch you hunt and i watched you cook, and came to the conclusion that you look so good at what you do is because your left handed. i know im one to. never had a chance to hunt out west being from PA. But had my fare share of whitetails. started hunting at 12 65 now. dont do much hunting anymore. but watching you is satifying. im sure you wont see this, but i had to comment.
Cooking for the help. I tip my hat to you. A 5 star meal is so far above that even.
Steve is an enigma. I can't remember another hunter/tv personality, conservationalist, like him.
Gotta harvest the balls! They are a delicacy!
Thanks Steve. Can’t wait to try your technique on caribou shanks. Looks delicious.

When I first startet watching MeatEater, I didn't expect Steven to be an amazing chef of homecooking. I really believe that he enjoys providing as a man for his family and friends.
Just found this channel and after watching this video. Instantly Subscribed, that looked amazing. And so interesting im going to look throught all your other videos.
Wishing all the other viewers good health and strenght in this crazy times. From the UK.
I can't tell what Steve loves more, cooking or hunting. He has a giddiness about him when in the kitchen

First time I had Marrow Bone was at the Red Ear Stag in Atlanta (very similar story, high $ joint). They split the bone long ways so it was like a roasted dish of bone marrow. Amazing.
Excellent work, love this show!
Alot of those spices trap oils that blossom when you add a little oil when roasting before using them. It's called blooming your spices. Try it out. It can make a world of a difference. Think of rubbing with a paste, and not a dry rub. It helps seal juices in as well
Thanks Mr.Steve.Great vid always.

I love watching you cook brother! Your show is the best hunting show ever made but you could beat some of the "top chefs" any day. Can't wait to retire from the Navy and live the Montana life again. Never ate beef or pork until I went to boot camp. Keep up the channel!
I cut shanks in half. Butter an bacon melted in a pan garlic salt an pepper. Roll the skanks in it. Smoke em for a hour or more. Throw em in a foil pan. Cover in bacon. A little beer an cover. Cook 300 degrees three or for hours. The meat comes off the bone an it's sticky an tinder. Call it sticky legs
That cornmeal, water, cool and fry we call nightcrawlers round my parts. They are kind of bland and go great with just about any condiment. They are really good for that and really cheap
I love this episode! Fing awesome!!!!!
