The husband tho😭😭 seems like he love everybody dearly
he is a sensitive guy the fact that he hasnt divorced his wife tells me he want to make the marriage work, and the ppl who always yell Divorce , think about the kids im sure the sons want the biological father a step father could abuse them and what not. Father is very important for son as a discipline and role model for daughters a father is a bar in how she chooses her future husband. i.e can she trust men

I cried a lot in this episode but I also laughed and smiled a lot. The husband loves everyone so dearly and beautifully that he is hurt by such words by someone he loves so much. He is a very good man. He is sincerely a sweet guy who loves everyone. I'm so glad they worked this all out. The father in law also sees his mistakes and accepts them and makes a huge step of not making them again. He also loves his son in law a lot! I'm so glad they all resolved this
The husband has been the most reasonable person that I've seen on this show. He didn't just accept unreasonable things from his father-in-law to makeup quickly. He clearly wants real positive relationships with his entire family.

I must say the wife is very lucky to get a husband like him. It's very rare to find a man who respects your parents so much even though they never behaved with him properly.
This was a rollercoaster, I cried for most of it, I laughed when they intertwined fingers and then I clapped at the screen at the end.
I love that the husband admits to being a sensitive person but in the end all he wants is to be loved and appreciated. Most men have problems with addmitting that but he doesn't. His smile at the end just says it all.
This was the most heartwarming concern so far on this show.

Same! I'm so glad I got to watch this episode and see/hear this story. There are some stories they've had that just leave me feeling icky or heartbroken. Here they broke my heart a bit from the sheer sincerity of the family members but then they mended it quite well 😊
@@talk2minie Yeah this is how all these episodes should be like. Not like that one from a few days ago where that father was molesting his son and people just brushed it off like ''it's his son, he owns him so he can do anything he wants with him''.
@@madeinbusanjkjm ugh! ikr! Don't even get me started on that one. I'm still grateful it gets exposed though so they can stop coz otherwise it will continue to happen behind closed doors. I still hate to watch it lol but I'm grateful for those impacted that it was exposed.
@@talk2minie Yeah but I feel like he got validated like he is doing the right thing because ''they're family''. The wife seemed totally desperate, it's like there was nothing she could do even though she feels it's wrong. The western viewers were like ''just divorce his ass and take the kids away from him'' but the marital situations in Korea are always more difficult and complicated than we think. I mean what if he gets rights to visit the kids alone? Than he would be doing this abuse behind closed doors and the wife wouldn't even be there to stop him......
What a moving episode... It is a powerful example of how the simplest words can hurt someone deeply. It also shows how people who love each other can hurt each other, but as long as they understand that they care for each other and love one another, the issues can be resolved. For the husband, I admire how deep his emotions are and I actually commend his sensitivity to others. While it makes him more vulnerable to getting hurt, it also allows him to open his heart more easily and feel love for the people around him. It's glaringly obvious that he loves everyone dearly. His wife is amazing for having gone through so much just to be with the man she loves and the father handled everything so well. I wish the best for this family and I hope that they can resolve any issues they face quickly and focus on the happier parts of building their family.
Side note: I hope the mother-in-law forgives him after this episode. I got the feeling that she didn't show up because she didn't have good emotions towards her son-in-law. For the happiness of your daughter, support her and her husband. She already has a lot on her plate.
Hyerin Kim- I totally agree with everything you just said but when I heard at first what the husband said I was thinking that the wife maybe should have at least tried to talk to her husband at first because she kept crying most of the time and I understood why but like I felt like the man had a reason to cry I think the person who is at fault is mostly the in laws cause unnoticed that they are both kind hearted so I hope that now everything is better between their family’s 😊

There was also the one where the two brothers didn't speak to each other for 8 years and after the show, they showed them going out and having drinks together. Even got them to give each other cheek kiss lol. That one was my favorite so far.

I feel like the grandfather is good natured, but I think he really made a mistake in just denying he said everything. That really invalidates how the husband was feeling and I think over time they'll end up having this problem again because him denying it will just add to the husband's grudges. Instead of "how could i have said that?" it should've been "i didn't mean for it to sound the way it did." that way he can get across he meant something different without completely blowing off what the husband said.
if you watch the whole thing towards the 20 minute mark or so the father in law *did in fact admit* he was wrong to have been so against his son in law for no real reason other than work qualifications

I shed a lot of tears when the son in law cried while hugging the father in law. How sorry and upset was he. I think he loves his in laws so much that was why he got hurt and upset so much. Glad to see they talk to each other again
Yes. It hurts a lot when your parents in law don't see you as family :( It happened to me with two relationships and it hurt alot. It made me not want to marry my partner because I didn't want to marry into a family that doesn't see me as a daughter. :( I'm so happy that they seem so close and you could tell the love between them is very strong :D

The son in law is hurt because he loves him so much. Also he cried because he really think of him as a father. That’s so rare. Most son in laws just go with the flow and they don’t visit often. He wants to do anything for them to like him. This concern is so cute because they kept holding hands and he was crying in happy and sorry tears.

I’m kinda having mixed feelings. The husbands feelings are just as important as hers but I feel like he was ignored because he male and she’s not. They even said if you had a daughter you’d understand. That makes no sense. I hope they solve the issue they are having because he seems like a loving husband.
He was ignored because he wasn't seeing the argument from her father's perspective. Not only that, but he invalidated her post-partum depression, which is why the father said the things he did.
Like what the rapper said, this is a beautiful concern. In my eyes, they really love each other, wife, husband, in-laws too.
But I cannot help myself to cried when father in laws said "Depending on the person's perspective, meaningless word couls hurt each other's feelings. I'm saddened by this whole thing. Hes such a catch (Jung Woo Sung look alike) being honest about his emotions unlike his father in law who's saving face. It was really messed up that the hosts were microanalyzing the husband's emotions to follow a narrative to support the wife.

As for the youngest son taking longer to talk, some children are like that. Especially boys. My older brother took longer to talk when he was a baby and now he won't shut up. The mom just needs to wait a little longer and I think he will catch up with his speech.
At first, I thought that the man had narrow mind. But as I watched it, I can understand how he must have felt. The guy is quite charming, and all he wanted was approval. I tell my kids that cuts and bruises can heal though it may leave marks. But scar from words are like pebbles and sands in concrete or cement. Hurtful words stay with someone’s heart for a long long time and remind them scars over and over, so watch what you are saying. I hope that their relationship improves. I will pray for them.

If someone told me that that me and my children don't matter, I don't care who they are, I'd cut all ties with them and never allow them to even touch my children. Why should you even be allowed to see grandchildren that you don't care about? I wouldn't have shaken that man's hand, he wouldn't exist as far as i'm concerned.

I don’t think it’s the wife’s fault but I think she should of at least tried to talk to her husband to see the reason why first of that didn’t work then bringing them to the show was a good reason to get them to talk so the wife is not at fault but I think at the time she didn’t completely understand the situation between her husband and father...

I think I am the only person who had issues with the girls father smiling? He just had this evil grin on his face that read manipulator. There's no harm in saying you can't remember, but when you say you didn't say anything like that, honestly wounds will not heal. You make your son in-law look like a liar and that in itself is wrong. Hopefully, the father can stay out of their marriage so that they can both work things out as a couple for their son and the betterment of their future.
This is a serious issue in so many families today. I hope they can work out their differences and for other opposing parents out there, you aren't doing your children any good by silencing their love. Let them love just as you have loved, give your blessings and mind your own marriage.
@쿠키쿠키 Exactly and I felt the hosts favoured him because he is a senior. The father knows what he is doing, period. When they told him to speak to his son in-law, he still didn't show repentance "the part where his daughter kept shaking her head as to correct him". Hopefully, the husband can forgive him but after watching and seeing her fathers character, plus the way he approached the whole situation, forgiveness will be hard. The son in-law will still have lingering grudge. His grudge may become worse, since his father in-law straight up denied saying everything on national and International television.
I think he was sweet and he just didn't think about how his words could hurt someone , I met a lot of people who had the kindest hearts but didn't process their words before saying them but that doesn't mean that they're wicked.

Communication is really important. I like the way they resolved things here. Everyone made mistakes but sometimes you need to talk to resolve misunderstanding. Even though it happened before marriage too but the peak of the problem was in Chuseok around 3 months ago. Somehow I am glad that it can be resolved earlier so they still remember the event well. It'll get worst if this misunderstanding cannot be resolved after years. It looks like the father-in-law's choice of words are way too honest without thinking others' feelings too much so it may happen again in the future but now the son-in-law knows more about the father-in-law, I hope in the future he can just understand and talk directly to his father-in-law for words that hurt him so they can resolve any misunderstandings quickly instead of keeping those inside. I also hope the wife gets proper treatment too and their youngest son can talk well soon. Be happy, to this family! All of them actually look kind in nature. They just need to keep communicating to each other.

If you can’t understand that marriage makes someone your FAMILY exactly the same as your parents and siblings etc. then you shouldn’t be getting married. And it’s sad because he obviously does feel that way, hurting as though it were his own father that sad such nasty things.

There is nothing wrong with speech therapy. It only helps the child and the mother wanted to help her child. Why is the father so scared of the stigma and trying to stop her? Plus hurting your wife for something she has no control over (like looking like her father) is really mean and doesn't resolve the issue. It sounds like he didn't handle it maturely.
