    I want to try Boba tea, but would prefer finding one with less sugar...they all seem loaded, lol! If Ms. Carla develops a recipe, I would love to "hear." :)

      Tapioca is a starch, and starch turns to sugar in your mouth, so the only thing to do is compare different brands and flavors. Think of it as dessert.

      @tea.andagoodbook I would be ok with the starch in the tapioca pearls, but I don't get the added sugar in the tea itself. I may just have to find a recipe for making one at home. It seems the Trim Healthy Mama leads may have customized some. If so, I can send to you if at all interested.

      @@whitneydotson643 We have another brand called Taiwan Boba Tea from J-Way. Their (plain) milk tea only has 21 grams... still not a small amount, but certainly better than the other one! Most of the sugar comes from the syrup, but I'm sure that a recipe created to use less sugar would be better all around. We put a link in the description so you can try it if you want.
