Your SOF is rigged pulling to advantage (the rope is terminated at the load end and you're pulling in the same direction as the load is moving) so it is a 5:1. If you turn it around, you'll get a 4:1cd. The way you've rigged it gives 10:1 (5:1 piggy-backed onto a 2:1)

Right. I didn't really explain myself well in that video on the SOF's so I made another video: czcams.com/video/0lh7ezFI0Oo/video.html
Check that out and tell me how if it's more clear. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hey, that stoppable pulley, during the middle 4:1 part, please could you tell me the name of it? Seeing these load capture knots in your vids, then just heard of the petzl asap and thought I'd should learn about those different ways of blocking
Thanks, all these are super clear

SMC Advance Tech HX. It's a cheaper pulley than what Petzl or CMC puts out but works just as well. Cheers

    I was taught a 4:1 pulling a 2:1 is a complex 8:1

A 4:1 pulling a 2:1 would be COMPOUND 8:1. What I showed was a piggyback system of a 5:1 pulling a 2:1, therefore creating a 10:1 compound system. Check out these videos for more clarification and thanks for the comment.
