I enjoy your reactions, you have a lovely comfortable friendship that comes across so well. Glad you liked the song. Luke Flegg was the videographer for this one. He said that it was just him doing the camera work, so to get the effect of doing a one take he had to make clever cuts going into and out of the car. He took overlapping footage with him leaning into/out of the car with the camera, trying to line up 99% at the threshold. There is a white car that appears parked when the camera comes out of the car, that isn't there when they pull up.

Ren is an injection of UK talent into what is predominantly a US music scene. Some will respond defensively, negatively to that.
Ren himself is knowledgeable, well-versed and respectful of the genre and his forebears. Given that shown respect, he should be respected in turn as he steps into the limelight.

The title of this song and the line Murderer are a both an homage to the song “Murderer” by Barrington Levy. He is a Reggae artist and the song originates back to 1983 I believe. Ren had said he is heavily influenced by Ska and the rebel attitude that came along with it.

Musically and lyrically, it's perfect. The cinematography is where it stands out. Glad you caught the mirror. It was the same with the mirror in the beginning. Luke pans just enough to see without being in the shot. And it's a one take. Sam and Luke are friggin genius behind the camera

You ca actually see a small unfixable mistake during the last out of the window scene. A parked white car appears to the right that wasn‘t there when the camera was still IN the car.

The title of the song and context of the videos content was a social experiment to test a theory Ren had about the social media industry, He made an Instagram post a while back querying why the word Suicide gets censored by CZcams but worse words are used and don't, so cue this song too prove his theory,

Ren said it is a one take and they had someone hiding in the back seat to hand off the camera and it took them 6 hours to get the right video.

On Crypt and Joe E Sparks Reaction (czcams.com/video/rZqNBalSaXQ/video.html) comments, Luke Flagg who filmed this video said this: so we actually had to hide a cut going in and out of the car because it was just me on camera and also shooting in a moving car with really specific camera movements and focus..I didn't know anyone who could do it the way I wanted, so I just had to end the first shot be leaning as far into the car as I could with the camera. Then cut and open the door, sit in the car. Then hold camera out of the car window as far as I can and record as I bring it in again, starting the next shot. Hardest thing was to 99% match the overlapping shots in that moment it goes through the window: angle, composition, etc. So there's a freeze frame where the inside of the car is a different shot to the outside of the car. BLOOPER ALERT: when Ren and the pig pull up the last car on the right is a dark colored car, then after the camera comes out the window there is a white car there.
