These are only jokes. We obviously have insane respect and love for Ren. The man is a musical genius. From his guitar playing, musical writing, and vocals he has definitely captivated me. It would be almost silly if he threw on gloves and started a Floyd Mayweather routine, lol. Even his physique looks great for crying out loud, the dude is almost perfect.
I poke fun at my closest friends, it’s a sign of endearment where I’m from. After making hundreds of reaction videos there will be deviations to keep things fresh and not the monotonous “this is amazing” material.

Lol I'm actually glad you guys had the balls to comment on it. That was my IMMEDIATE first thought when I saw the video the first time as well. The song is sick, the whole video is sick, he's sick (in more ways than one), and he for sure gets a pass on the boxing form.
But all that being said it definitely throws you off a little when that hook drops and so does his.

Reminds me of something that happened to my husband at work last year (he was working undercover, he’s a cop). They’d been following a guy for weeks and ended up having to arrest him in a public place. The guy started going off, screaming and shouting, he was struggling and shouting for help. A couple of members of the public called 999 to report a kidnap, and a couple more tried to intervene, despite being told it was a police op 😂. The response cops that showed up tried to arrest my husband and his coworker! 😂
I've seen another reactor offer to show Ren how to box if he needs help, maybe that's the way to go rather than just laughing at him.
To be fair, I did give boxing advice.

@burton528hz Dang, I didn't even factor in the logistics of this being another one take. 😐 Getting the gloves off and stepping through the window exactly on the mark while rapping....probably took a couple dozen takes. Nobody can say this dude doesn't take his craft serious.

When the camera pans from inside to outside of the car a white car appears parked up on the right side of the road. That's the only cut I picked up on and it's a shame about the continuity error.
I like that the killing/violent lyrics are fitting for the character he's playing in the video clip, they fit what they're intended for, not just street cred/shock value like I've seen in other rap vids. I've seen from other comments that the kidnapped guy is the one who was tied up in Animal Flow, this vid was filmed before AF.

I think Ren said something about being in the gym 6 days a week before he got ill. And considering he is going through a heavier stage of treatment, he may also be bulking up so he has a good
foundation if this current stage leads to muscle wasting, you know?
I think you guys will dig his song 'Diazepam'. Part of his back catalogue that you should definitely keep diving into and it's a different vibe to his more recent stuff.
Another band to check out is The Heavy. I'd recommend 'Can't Play Dead' or 'How You Like Me Now?' as songs to start with. Or maybe a bit of an older band to check out is Skindred for something completely different, if you're not familiar with them. They're kind of a reggae/rock/metal fusion and a good song to start with is 'Pressure'.
I really like watching the men turn to teenage boys when the talk about the finger...lol. It's the facial expression. It is fantastic.

Regarding the boxing, it's just for the video and he's not focused. Putting the gloves on himself, then quickly having to take them off before stepping through the window, miming the lyrics, getting everything right on the timing and hitting all the marks in a one take video. Who knows how many takes they did...just sayin' 😁

My point was that people critique what they know but if you have expertise in boxing you should note that this might not be a good approximation of his skills. Like someone in the Army deployed. Things that you would never do at home is what you do for fun over there. Reading, writing, learning to punch lol, but gym most of all. I think this song is also a reaction to Su!c!de. How a song trying to connect and shine light on a serious subject for people that needs to be seen gets blocked, take down threats, censorship and trigger warnings. Yet a song called MURDERER singing about actually lining people against a wall and shooting them(obviously we know he doesn't mean it that way.) but just straight forward looking at lyrics.....and it doesn't get so much as a violence warning.

But really, staying in good physical shape is important to dealing with his Lyme disease. You could go back & look at old Big Push busking videos, especially "Wade In The Water/Nina Simone/Trouble So Hard", & see how terribly thin he was. That may even have been before stem cell replacement & joint surgeries. It was def before treatment in Canada.
