ABSOLUTELY one of Lucy's BEST!!!! And George Sanders, too!!!!
George Sanders great and friend the Alister Crowley. Boleskine!
You should see one of her last movies, Stone Pillow. It'll break your heart but it has a good ending.
@@Tsiri09 Great film!
Marvelous film Great actors Great music Great story I only wish they still made them like that
Those fur coats and jewlery was nice to look at,too. Should be re-make but with Homo Sexual instead . Most likely many re-make have been done , enjoyed.
Some old movies seem dry and outdated, but then, you find these hidden gems. LOVED IT!!!!
Lucille Ball is gorgeous, witty, charming, and a great actress. I love this movie.
She said’if god gives you all the ambition and talents and its not used, its useless! I guess she found out what she had and used it all!
Just got done watching The Dark Corner with Lucille Ball, great movie has well. She was a very versatile actress. 😊
I love film noirs and I've never heard of this movie. Lucille Ball's acting was impeccable and this movie was quite Forward Thinking - spoiler alert - Lucille Ball as an undercover cop seems ahead of its time. Lucille's wardrobe in this film is spectacular and So Glamorous. I wish some of these fashions would come back!
*Excellent movie with fabulous script and casting. Lucille was dressed to perfection!*
*Thank you SGF Highly recommend this thriller!* 💖💫
Sweet, I'm about to watch it. Lots of great comments. 👍
LUCY WAS SOME BEAUTY.....
This movie made me realize what a gr8 actress Lucille was. Comedic scenes with her sarcastic quick wit and drama scenes in same movie. Very enjoyable. Thx UT. 👍
Her timing, especially comedic, was impeccable. Joy to watch.
When I saw what I thought was Lucille Ball's picture in the thumbprint is why I clicked on this video.
@@desertodavid Me too! I was in awe of the delivery of her lines and her ability to become a believable “different sort of character” throughout. That’s a tall glass to order. Every actor even those with a bit part could not go “unnoticed.” There was room enough to suspect everybody… I’ll leave it at that.
@@desertodavid I read somewhere she began her career as a Rockette in NYC ... she could do it all.
Yeah , brilliant and hot !
She was the first actress I ever fell in love with .
I was about 5 years old.
I love Lucy 😊
Lucille Ball was Very Beautiful 😍
Boris Karloff the legend !
Never more!
Sad that most people only remember that fine actor Alan Napier as Alfred the butler on Batman.
Mr.Napier has been in other movies decades before he played the butler"Alfred" in"Batman," with Adam West,Burt Ward TV series.
That was a truly terrible show! But like almost all the other kids in the early 60s I loved it! I'd never watch it now though.
Lucille Ball could hold her own against great actors such as George Sanders, Cecil Hardwicke, and Boris Karloff!
She is very pretty lovely looking woman and greatly talented.
boris karloff makes this a treat.
Initial release of Lured was August 28, 1947.
Miss Ball wasn't just a Comedic Genius, she was a good Dramatic Actress. There hasn't been a Comedic actress so far who can compare to her. She was one of a kind. Oh wait, Betty White came close as a Comedic actress. But never saw her do any dramatic acting. Miss them both.
This was so good! I'm shocked that I hadn't seen it before and this really shows how versatile Lucile B was!
And Sirk.
An incredible movie - Superb acting
Great movie nothing like the old actors to make such a good one !
At the opera house, Lucille stood up - priceless. Fierce. She has the best lines!
Lucille Ball was alway the best even before she played on the Lucy Show.
Amazing to think she and Desi Arnaz created Desilu studios together, making most of the best television shows from the early to mid-sixties. Star Trek finally killed it, costing so much to make, it over extended the studio financially, the loans called in by other studios who bought the notes, wanting to take control, literally stealing her studio from her. She really was one of a kind.
Misinformation. When Lucy bought out Desilu Studios from Desi - it was losing money. However after several years under her as Head of Studio - the company was doing well and she sold it for 17 million dollars -- 10 went to her as the major stockholder and 7 went to the rest of the stockholders. During the time, under her leadership, she green lit Star Trek and Mission Impossible.
@@LJ-ht4zs You are in error. The studio was losing 15,000.00 an episode, in season 2, which is about 500,000 dollars today. She did not have that kind of money available, so she was forced to sell to a company called Gulf/western, that became Paramount. She knew Star Trek would make money in reruns, but incurred debt made it impossible for her to ever get to the point the show paid back. If you doubt, look it up. That's all I did. She did not want to sell.
@@freemarketjoe9869 No, you are incorrect - she made 17 million on the sale to gulf/western 10million to her as the major shareholder and 7 million to the other shareholders. She was waiting to sell she only took it over because of Desi's alcoholism the studio was losing money. She did not like the role, she was starring in and producing The Lucy Show, Head of the Desilu Studio, and raising her two children.
I thought the casting was perfect! 👏💐💕🙋
I'll bet Boris Karloff really enjoyed his scenes.
Oh man , George and Lucy match eachothers' dry wit PERRRFECTLY... what chemistry !! ❣️❣️❣️
I missed this movie. I saw it as a kid probably 60 years ago. 🎉🎉🎉I love Lucy.
Damned good movie, better than I was expecting. Very well acted and very well casts.
Wonderfully done production in ALL aspects...
Astounding find! I've been a Golden Age fan most of my long life and this is the first time I've seen this one!
Brilliant movie thanks for the upload great acting 👍❤😍💞💖💯
i love this movie thank you for the posting!!!!!!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂!!!!!!
George Sanders always plays the board, condescending rich aristocratic playboy, very convincingly at that.
Beautiful, gave me a very good feeling, all from the actors, director, music, script,......Thank you for sharing the movie, some sites made it unavailable for some countries, every body on this planet deserve all the beautiful things 💙💚🌱🌳🙏#SaveSoil #ConsciousPlanet
For those who haven't seen the movie "The Dark Corner" {1946}. Lucy gives a great performance as a secretary for a private investigator. The Dark Corner is a 1946 American crime film noir directed by Henry Hathaway and starring Lucille Ball, Clifton Webb, William Bendix and Mark Stevens. The film was not a commercial success but has since been described as a "Grade A example of film noir." Good way to spend for a relaxing Saturday night or Sunday afternoon movie.
Another Lucille Ball movie I never heard of? Hook it up while I get the bong ready! 🤩
You're on!😊
This was an ncredible movie ! All the great qualities!
This is a grand collection of stars in a mainly mystery, sometimes comedy.
This movie shows that sex trafficking has been going on for ages
Uh no shit
Great casting and acting. Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing ❤
Wonderful! Thank you. 🍿
Boris Karlof, Sooo Spooky 😱😮😫

Just ❤ George Sanders and Charles Coburn. I've watched and followed many of their movies before and after this one. ❤ you to the moon snd back now and always!
I remember how we used to use the personal column in the 1980s too to meet people.
My friend did this - very pretty girl - also good writer got a lot of responses to her posts.
Never before or after heard Lucy's voice sound so nice. Wonder how she managed it.
Great movie...👏👏👏
I❤LUCY

Lucille Ball!!!!
Lucille Ball was a great dramatic actress too. I heard her on the radio, and she was great!
Excellent movie 🍿👍👍👍👍👍💯
Thoroughly enjoyable movie! Excellent cast including Charles Coburn , George Zucco, Boris Karloff and Cedric Hardwicke. Thanks 😊
Great movie. Fantastic performance by Lucille Ball.
Lucille was a gifted actress.
OMG, Lucy and Boris, wow Hollywood Royalty 🥰🥰
A really great film brilliantly acted
I love Lucy ! Great film !
Thank you 🥰Great cast and movie 👍Always good to watch the great and talented Boris Karloff 🥰👍
I'm such a goner for
this Movie 😍
Everytime,I come across it...
I can't resist watching it❣️
Excellent film... better than I expected... thanks to the cleverer than usual story and the great acting job from various actors, especially LUCILLE BALL.....
Loved it!
Totally Brilliant, thank you so much for this film.
Oh gosh!! Lots of fun! Lucille made that silly character Lucy which trapped her forever. Just the same as Marlyn Monroe. Both were great actresses and brilliant to pull off those fantasy characters. But how much talent did we loose by them being led down that typecast lane. Very sad … like two Shakespearean leading ladies …. Doomed.
Sorry, As much as I loved many of her movies - I Love Lucy was the best known and best loved sit com ever. Was in 78 countries To this day, her I Love Lucy series still plays and I Iaugh out loud when I see the episodes again even though I first saw the series in 1951 - 1957.
...GREAT MOVIE.....WELL WORTH WATCHING.....
Here 2024 California. Boris Karloff and Lucille Ball🤳W👁W #Elegance
Wonderful!!
💗✨️🙏
What a Fantastic Flick!!!! I really really Enjoyed this , Very well done cast and Story line and You can NEVER go wrong with George Sanders and Lucille Ball! :) and a Great supporting cast !
What a beautiful ending, made me cry haha
Great movie. Great sets and costumes 👌 👏 👍
Wow! Lovely movie!🤔🤔🤔
Talk about the longest thriller, but luved it , 👀👍👍👍🐈⬛️
I almost feel as if SGF could have mentioned that BORIS KARLOFF stars in the movie. Maybe they're too young to remember that at the very least he was the narrator for the original Grinch.
Yet don't think me unappreciative. Thank you fo4r the great movie. And in such good condition at that.
What a cast! Wish the Great Karloff would have bigger role !!
👍I love Lucy. Great movie!
Lucy maravilhosa, filme lindo❤❤
And she went on to be a Hollywood mogul with Desi Arnaz
The nicest thing of this movie is that Florence didn't have the application over the mighty of April👍
Lucille Ball - what a stunning figure! She looks like a goddess in that white evening dress.
magic pure magic, juhaptergee
Boris Karloff did not have a major role in this movie despite the poster with Lucille Ball.
It's always so jarring watching Lucille Ball (and Leslie Nielson for that matter) in productions from their pre-comedy years. Imagine being so talented as to be able to pull off both genres!
That said, it's hard not to hear The Grinch in all Boris Karloff's work. Then again, he was a convincing red herring, wasn't he! (Apparently not to be confused with a McDuffie, and please forgive me if I got them confused).
Must be the age at which I was first acquainted!
Loving it, thanks so much! Now I can say Loved it! Brilliant. Thanks. So clever, and so full of pop culture. A double treasure, triple threat!
Oh, and I'm guessing I've heard George Sanders' voice in a couple of Disney movies of my childhood? Junglebook and 101 Dalmations? Cool! His voice fits him like does his skin...
George Sanders was in the Jungle Book but not 101 Dalmations. I had a look and interestingly it's actually his brother Tom Conway (Thomas Sanders) that was in 101 Dalmations.
@@clairestout242 wow! Really! Such a velvety voiced....er, was it a Collie or a German Shepherd? I sometimes hear that calm soothing voice in my dreams
Forensic science was well advanced even back then when ever this old black and white film was made.
I found it hard to believe that the urbane Robert Fleming would fall for a wisecracking dame like Sandra Carpenter but other than that this is a thoroughly entertaining film. The identity of the murderer is pretty easy to guess from about the halfway mark.
I still Love Lucy ❤💋
WOW 💚🙏😇🙏💚WOW
Boris! YIKES ! run away
Lucy Ball was forced to sell her studio in season 2 because it cost 15,000.00 an episode to make Star Trek, the equivalent of 500,000.00 today. She was already maxed out in debt and was forced to sell the studio to Gulf/western, which became Paramount. She knew Star Trek would make money back in reruns, but the debt became too much before the show could ever become profitable in those reruns. Star Trek cost her the studio. She was warned by advisers the show would be too expensive, but no one else would greenlight such a costly show, so she did it anyways, hoping to reach reruns before debt grew too much. It did. She lost. We only have Star Trek today because Lucy knew it never would be made without her taking that chance.
I didn't know that! Thanks
too many adds unwatchable
Bases loaded, and this is a homerun. Truly unsettling. Even Lucille Balls precision comedic timing could not fully relieve this tension. Excellent! Karloff, Sanders, etc, all hit their marks and then some. Terrific cast, perfectly placed to tell this tense thriller of a tale. Great stuff, disturbing at times. Thank you so much for posting. My troubles flew out the window from Lucy and her buddy at the club, and the cops working tirelessly to find a killer, as the two friends discuss the dazzling stranger that enters one of their lives to take her away from it all. I nearly came out of my skin!
Very fun movie?
Peccato solo per gli Inglesi 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Who played Barrett in this movie? Anyone? I really like him. Thank you❤
George Zucco 😁
