"This is 'yum' and this is 'yum yum'"! They don't make them like this anymore...
No they don't
Such a charming movie, so much so that you forget that it's as old as it is.
Every person could do with those eight wise & adorable "squirrely cherubs" in their life. I know I could. 😊
Have been waiting for years to see this gem again! wonderful! thank you uploader!
When she says "i'll get you on the Ameche" referring to the guy who played the guy who invented the phone refers to Don Ameche in Alexander Graham Bell. Its a great movie! I cant believe i knew that😮 it's on YT. I recommend it!
Black history month the BBC showed that the telephone was invented in Africa by Ameche via trunk calls.
@@johnsmith-ht3sy Ameche is an actor who played Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. Are you referring to the black man, Lewis Latimer, who Bell hired to do the patent drawings? This is the late 1800s BTW. I couldn't find anything on Africa on inventing the phone I think the term trunk calls might be a later invention for long distance but unsure
@@fractal4619 Thank you for the information, I was tongue in cheek mocking our woke BBC here that makes up erroneous history. Trunk calls are from my childhood and indeed mean a long distance phone call, usually overseas. No idea where it originated from.
What a treat. Howard Hawks and Billy Wilder in one film, with Cooper and Stanwyck in lead roles. Thank you for making it available on CZcams.
Gary Cooper, Barbara Stanwyck, Dan Duryea...zowie, what a humdinger!
What does humdinger mean
@@dsjk209 It's an old word that means something excellent, special or very impressive. For example, Did you see Dave's new bike? It's a humdinger!
A thoroughly charming movie. What a great ending
mann i hope they make the modern version of this 😂😂
edited : wait, nevermind today's movie industry just gonna ruin it like they always do to masterpiece from the past.. 😂
There are no actors alive today who could pull this off.
Besides they would turn it into queers and the proffessors would be women of all nationalities and the house keeper trans the crooks would be some made up thing no one except the 3% would recognise.
Rotten Tomatoes would say it was great and the people would stay away in droves.
Is this what you had in mind?
That was one of the best films I've seen in ages - simply gorgeous and wonderfully acted by all. Thank you so much for posting this one up here...
"Scram. Scraw. Scrow."
"See! The complete conjugation!" 🤣🤣🤣
"Shove in your clutch, for instance."
Cooper made a great ditz in this one. Haww
Replaced by “ slow your roll”
What an unexpected, irresistibly goofy, and remarkably entertaining film.... A real old fashioned treat!!!!!!!!
Quite entertaining. Barbara Stanwyck was so charming. Another good performance by Gary Cooper
One of the best comedies of all time! Thank you. "Park Avenue bigamy scandal! Most illuminating!"
an absolute joy
Master piece. From Spain, very thanks SGF.
Gene Krupa too? Boy, grand movie
One of my favorite films.. Thank you!
Great movie. Cute guys. Tough guys everywhere and you don’t hear the F-word, N-word, C-word, M-word even though the movie is about slang.😊
It's so sad that they are not able to do this today. We don't have talented enough writers and actors to create such an entertaining movie and maintain a "G" rating.
😊
We are blessed today with wonderful slang in Hip Hop , Rap, Garage and Grind noise.
Loved this movie so much! 🥰Thank you!🤗
What an entertaining movie..❤
Ball of Fire. Release Date: 1941 December 2nd.
Gary cooper is a very great actor and very handsome!
Thank you 💕👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I remember reading "Tiger, tiger, burning bright" in 1978!
Sweet movie, love Gary Cooper though am born in 67
1:16:58 : " One rough, impetous bee can completely destroy the bloom " ... LOL !!!
Loved it!!👏💐💕🙋
Brilliant to the last drop!😊
OUTSTANDING!
Love this movie. Cooper and Stanwyck always had great chemistry. The seven professors (dwarfs) were fantastic. So many great character actors. There was a remake with Danny Kate and Virginia Mayo in 1948, "A Song is Born". Several well known jazz musicians were in that movie.
Two henchmen named Asthma and Pastrami. Nice.
"Shove in your clutch" , I'm going to bring that back...
Howard Hawks....nuff said. It's gonna be excellent
Great movie
Love this movie!!
Excellent ❤
Prof. Oddly would go on to play Uncle Max in The Sound of Music
The garbage man went on to be the voice of officer Dribble, I mean Dibble in the cartoon show Top Cat.
Oh my, that was fun!
love this movie!
The music is wonderful, the movie is great!!!
Gary Cooper
"OOPA DOOPA"
Thank you
Super movie!

Wonderful actors brilliant direction movie real fun 🎉
I just knew, encyclopaedia expanded from here

A really young Dan Duryea.
Just good fun!
I liked it a lot

Cute & Lovely = GREAT MOVIE
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
💚🙏😇🙏💚
Uno dei miei film del cuore 💓 attori famosi ma bravi lui Biancaneve lei 💞 lo strega che si innamora dopo una vita non per bene.❤
Anyone other than me notice that Alfred Newman seems to have been responsible for a ridiculously vast amount of film music for the first few talkie decades?😱
yes. i have
Very funny introduction
this is TBBT before the TBBT 😁😁😁😁
Somehow Barbara Stanwyck seemed to always get parts in spangly dresses. She wore them very well indeed.
Release it quicker😂
And it has that nasty fellow from Petticoat Junction ... always trying to close down the Cannonball ... Mr Bedloe ...
Charles Lane. Lived to the ripe old age of 102!
Any other gardeners think that the “Forsythia” flower is actually a Fuchsia (and a yellow one is very rare.)
In Strood Kent England along Humber cresent blocks of flats are named Fuchsia, Forsythia etc. Never knew they are flowers.
❤ il etait une fois une comédie désopilante qui est......une variante de Blanche Neige & les 7 nains !
Moral of the story: stay out of new jersey.
Is there pt 2 ?……
Don’t think so, but Danny Kaye and Virginia Mayo did a remake in 1948, “A Song is Born”.
Dan D uryea was cute
and one of the best evil actors ever. I hated him in many movies.
My how the slang has changed to abusive of abuse not till wotchn this movie how clean back then update todate plain boring disinterested quickly
How bout you make the political commercials something we can "skip". We are bombarded with political crap in our texts, calls, regular television, we come here to escape that crap.
Always seems to be one common thread in the story line of these B @ W movies. One women pursued and competed for by two men. Same theme and always at the end a wedding and marriage. What was Hollywood brainwashing men for?
Love old movies, wathch 'em all the time, but I think Gary Cooper is the worst actor ever and fimd Barbara Stanwyck eminntly unlikeable and unattractive. Watched because I was curious about their chemistry together (turns out there was none). Movie was twice as bad with both of them. I think it was stupid. Sorry.
You didnt like her in double indemnity?
It would seem to me you are in a minority of one.
I am 70 and used to watch movies with my mother in law and she loved Barbara. She named her oldest daughter Barbara and her 2nd Lana. I married the second one 50 years ago and we have made it together until now. Movies such as this bring her mom back for a little while. Fun is the intention of this movie and this is what I am getting from it, corn and all.
Do others find you likeable and attractive. I think not.
One of the best movies ever!
