    Wow - plumbing approaching an art form. It’s like looking at a custom motorcycle. Both attractive and functional. I know that some custom motorcycles can cost in excess of $50k, and can imagine that this system might be about the same.

This is what I would Expect from a Professional I can not even begin to tell you some of the service work I have had to do when I walk in and was told something was done by a professional only to think WTF. @@canuckmechanical6490 yeah no one wants to pay for good work and when someone does call they are looking for the Lowe's DIY Installer... My favorite one locally here was someone tapped a Exhaust Dryer stack straight into the Sewer vent line. I got a call to help and found the sewer backed up enough about 12 inches over the drain grade and filled the drier vent with Bathroom waste.

    James, looks great. I'm curious: 1. Why are the zones not fed with 1-1/4" pipe? 2. With so many zones, wouldn't the Taco e007 or any other circulator that modulates flow as needed be a batter fit than a single speed circulator? Personal note; I never like to put zone valves so close together; it makes working on them difficult for future diagnosing.

  • @keyzielock9970
    @keyzielock9970 Před 3 lety +4

    There're so many small details to love about this install that usually aren't present.
    Such as valves on air bleeders for easy service, temperature gauges, drip leg cap has been lined up for easier painting if required and so much more!
    However, I'm unsure why dielectric unions were used on the discharge lines for the reliefs. Would standard unions not be sufficient?

    • @canuckmechanical6490
      @canuckmechanical6490  Před 3 lety +1

      True but I wanted something that would go from FIP to copper in one fitting and was a union, hence dialectic

    I felt like this video came out of an HVAC museum or something. Beautiful piping job. Couple
    of things: didn't see a condensate neutralizer, can't tell where the condensate is being dumped. Also, didn't see and ODR sensor, but it probably would be problematic to use with the radiant together with some other (unknown) type of radiation. The minimum firing rate of NFC-175 is about 18kbtu/h -- I'm pretty sure that when the smallest zone calls for heat it will not be able to dump that much (leading to short-cycling). What is the design temp for your location?

    • @canuckmechanical6490
      @canuckmechanical6490  Před 3 lety +1

      You are correct there is no neutralizer in this case was no really required but normally are installed depending on drainage pipe...about -10 for a design temp it can fluctuate greatly however. Thanks for the kind words :)
